Nestled just outside the charming village of Llwynygroes, our 17th-century cottage offers a perfect blend of historical charm and modern comfort for an idyllic holiday retreat. The surrounding area offer a wealth of activities for visitors to enjoy, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Explore the scenic countryside with its network of walking and cycling trails, perfect for discovering the lush landscapes and local wildlife. Visit the nearby Cors Caron Nature Reserve (7.5 miles), where you can stroll along boardwalks through ancient peat bogs and spot rare bird species. History lovers will appreciate a trip to Strata Florida Abbey (12 miles), an impressive medieval Cistercian abbey with fascinating ruins to explore. For a taste of local culture, spend a day in the charming town of Tregaron (5.5 miles), known for its traditional Welsh shops, cosy cafes, and the historic Talbot Hotel.
This enchanting stone-built abode made of stone and cob and was rebuilt using traditional materials, boasts original features such as exposed wooden beams, a cosy willow chimney, and rustic slate floors, providing an authentic glimpse into the past. The cottage is tastefully furnished with period antiques and equipped with some contemporary amenities to make a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen. There is a wood burner in the lounge and dining room. Ascending a narrow, winding staircase, the first floor of this 17th-century cottage exudes cosy charm and historical character. The layout features one bedroom leading directly into another, creating a snug and intimate atmosphere. The bathroom, thoughtfully designed for comfort, includes a bathtub and a convenient seat for showering, accommodating the low, sloping ceilings typical of the era. Exposed wooden beams and rustic décor enhance the cottage's timeless appeal, ensuring a unique and memorable stay. The cottage opens directly into grass and fields, wonderful for watching wildlife, and surrounded by lush countryside so that guests can enjoy serene walks, picturesque views, and the tranquillity of rural Wales.

Surrounded by ancient woodlands, beyond the patio with seating area and BBQ, the cottages features a hot tub where you can unwind while listening to the soothing sounds of the forest. The expansive garden is a haven for wildlife, with rabbits, squirrels and a variety of birds frequently making appearances. Ideal for romantic getaways or family holidays, as this historic gem promises a memorable and rejuvenating escape. Nestled among charming cottages, a lush lawn unfurls, leading to a delightful play area. Here, children find joy in the simple pleasures of swings and a slide, where laughter blends with the gentle rustle of leaves.
