Delightful quirky rustic one bedroom cottage in the heart of St Albans conservation area near to Abbey. Will consider rolling monthly AST. Ideal for singles or couples, described as 'peaceful haven'. Sleeps up to four adults with a double and sofa bed, plus extra mattress bed for one child. Cosy bedroom with plenty of storage space, bathroom with bath/shower, small lobby, front room with wicker furnishings, widescreen TV, sofa. Kitchen overlooks pretty private garden with a bench to sit in the sun afternoons and evenings. Plenty of arty paintings, ornaments and tuneful bell peals from the Abbey in the evenings to please you. Few doors from friendly local football addicts pub, close to an array of various restaurants, pubs, museums, Verulamium Park, many events and all local amenities to take your pick. Near to centre with wide variety of shops, arty chic boutiques, antiques and weekly Wednesday market.
The location is great as in the city centre.
House is very dated and in need of some maintenance doing. Some cupboard doors once opened then had to be lifted and pushed over to be able to close. Lots of empty soap shampoo and mouth wash bottle In bathroom. Fridge is extremely old and discoloured freezer door falls off.plinth on kitchen unit fell on floor. Lots of junk in the property mirrors were filthy. Even the scouring sponges to do the washing up were falling apart and well used. Such a shame and definitely well over priced compared to other places I have stayed in St Albans.
