Late 18th Century cottage 250m from the sea

Built in the late 18th Century, Tamarisk Cottage was built as a 'two-up, two-down' home for farm workers and is one of only a few original cottages left in East Wittering.
It was extended in the 1970s, completely renovated in late 2021 but it retains many original features.
It is in the heart of the village in Shore Road with all the shops and cafes but only 250m from the beach. The modern extension leads out to the large, private sunny cottage garden.The sitting room has the original fire place with an electric fire and there is a separate dining room.

The cottage has two bedrooms, one double and one that has twin beds which can be made up as a super-king. The bedrooms are in the old part of the cottage and are accessed by the original staircase which is narrow and fairly steep. Children will have to be careful using the staircase. A travel cot & high chair could be provided if requested.
The bathroom and separate toilet are downstairs in the modern extension. The bathroom has a shower bath.

The modern kitchen, although small, is very well equipped and has a relaxed seating area which leads out into the sunny south facing garden. The garden is secure and so is ideal for storing bikes or surf boards.

Smoking is only allowed in the garden. Sorry no pets.

East Wittering is perfect for a short break or a longer holiday making use of the beach and all that the village has to offer but still only a short drive to Chichester, Goodwood and the South Downs.
