The location is great being just a short distance from a major hwy. Just a quick trip to either Austin or Dripping Springs with a great coffee shop and pizza nearby. Cute place to stay that's quiet and feels like your further out of town than you really are. It offered us everything we needed for our weekend stay.
Cozy but spacious space with everything you will need! Very clean with beautiful back yard setting. The owner did a great job with everything especially having it clean. Lastly, was a great location to take advantage of all Dripping Springs has to offer!
I'm so glad we found this wonderful "casita" to stay in for a wedding we attended in Dripping Springs.
The property was great - so quiet at night! - and the location was convenient to all of the events we attended.
The space was pristine, beautifully decorated, and provided everything we needed. In addition, Kathryn was an incredibly responsive and friendly host.
The cottage was so cute. It was really quiet and we really enjoyed getting away fro the city. We really enjoyed seeing the deer every morning!! Kathryn was a great host. Thank you so much!!
My husband and I were looking for a last minute getaway and found this cute place! The queen size bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows (which was great because I forgot mine). Large TV with Netflix, nice sitting area with pullout couch, kitchenette area with mini-fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. This place was perfect for just the 2 of us!!! We would definitely stay here again!!
Everything as advertised, and hosts always available if needed. Little touches to make the experience special. I only wish we'd had the chance to spend more time relaxing on the beautiful property, but we had people to see and F1 races to go to. Things that are important to me in a VRBO are super quiet, clean, a good hair dryer, basic kitchen and toiletry items, and a good bed. Over the years, I'd found it harder and harder to find accommodations that are as advertised - this one hits the mark on all these things and everything else in the listing.
From a mileage standpoint, this is close to the city center (13-15 miles), but Austin traffic and construction is no fun, so the drive can be a little longer than you'd anticipate for the distance depending on the time of day.
Visiting family in the area and the cottage was conveniently located and very scenic property. Extremely clean and lovely welcome gift! Kathryn was a wonderful host and checked in to ensure that our stay was going well. We would definitely stay here again on future visits to the area.
The house was perfect! We loved the cheese, crackers and chocolates upon arrival. We also got to meet the horses and view the property. Surrounding areas was great as well, good restaurants, close to everything and the hiking suggestion was amazing!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is very clean and comfortable, and the hosts are kind and accommodating. If we are in the area again, we will be back. Highly recommend.
This was our first time staying anywhere other than a hotel and we were nervous but were so pleasantly surprised! The room was super cute and extremely cleanâŠwhen I say clean, I mean CLEAN. Kathryn was available without delay anytime we had a question. She made sure our needs were met and also went out of her way to make sure our daughter had an amazing time. The white tailed deer, their beautiful horses and clean property made our stay just wonderful! We would def. go back !
Great property between Austin and Dripping Springs
Very nice little getaway just outside of Austin. The property owner was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and the property was beautiful. Close to everything.
Nice clean one bedroom one bath with kitchenette! Right around the corner from so many things but far enough away to enjoy the hill country.. deer in the front yard. Pretty area
Kathryn was born and raised in Texas and Paul comes from Devon, England. We met in the Yachting industry, Paul was a megayacht captain and Kathryn was a stewardess. We have been married for 25 years and have 3 children, 2 in college and 1 in high school. We bought this home 18 years ago and fell in love with the property. And we love the area.
We fell in love with this park-like property. It's so close to Austin and feels like you are far away in the beautiful Hill Country. The neighborhood is called Heritage Oaks due to hundreds of beautiful Live Oak Trees. Our yard has many 50+year-old Live Oaks. The guesthouse shares the 5-acre property with us but feels very private. Guests can use the fire pit, and grill, wander around and visit our horses. We want you to feel at home and enjoy this beautiful property.
