For a scenic afternoon, head for a rural walk within Thwaite Brow Woods or a scenic hike through the Warton Crag Local Nature Reserve. Lancaster city is also a short drive away with its splendid castle, butterfly house and popular University; whilst the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales can also be reached in less than 30 minutes by car.
