The Neighborhood:
The apartment is situated just 5 minutes walk from the beach and sea! Though not far from the main coastal road, which is a great bonus as it makes it quick and easy to visit the local towns of Fuengirola or la Cala de Mijas by car or bus, there is ZERO noise from the road. It's a very quiet, peaceful and family orientated complex.
There are also two small supermarkets within walking distance. The large commercial centre in Fuengirola is also then 5 minutes drive away.
There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance too, meaning all basic amenities can be reached without the need of a car.
It's the ideal location if you want to be in reach of the popular main town resorts, but have a more peaceful setting to relax in around the pool or on the balcony.
Getting Around:
The local bus route is just 5 minutes away, with buses running in both directions, west towards la Cala de Mijas or east towards Fuengirola. Both towns the bus takes around 10 minutes to reach.
We do recommend having a hire car. Although there are amenities in walking distance, to make the most of the bigger resort towns (Fuengirola / la Cala de Mijas / BenalmĂĄdena / Marbella) a car makes it far easier and more enjoyable.
Taxis from el Chaparral to Fuengirola Port (near the centre of the town) cost around âŹ10-12.
Taxis from el Chaparral to la Cala de Mijas cost around âŹ8-10.
