Chapel House is a stunning example of modern restoration that has been lovingly curated to provide the perfect Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps four guests (no children aged six or under permitted), in two bedrooms, with two bathrooms. Throughout the property there are hints of the chapel's heritage; beautiful exposed oak beams, original stained glass windows and delightful church pews can be found incorporated with contemporary touches, including a marvellous glass staircase, underfloor heating on the ground floor and a cosy wood burner that takes centre stage in the open plan living area. Outside is a charming, small secluded courtyard with bench seating making it the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine! Chapel House is a dog friendly holiday home that welcomes one small dog!

This two bedroom holiday cottage in Bampton is perfectly suited for those looking to relax and explore the local countryside and eateries. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

perfect weekend away

Chapel House was the perfect house for a weekend away for me and my partner and my brother and his wife. The house is gorgeous and has everything you need. Both bedrooms are very comfortable and the log burner is such a gorgeous feature. the house is situated in an ideal spot to visit all the attractions of the cotswolds. we had a fabulous time and would highly recommend.

Chapel Cottage

Beautiful converted chapel, fabulous interior and great location. The beds are very comfortable and the fire was very easy to use. We really enjoyed our stay there. We would highly recommend staying at this property.

Lovely stay

Absolutely beautiful building, which is a lot larger than it looks in the images on websites. Acres of space downstairs, lovely wood burner large dining table well equipped by kitchen. Four pubs within walking distance literally around the corner one serving exceedingly good food ( The Market Tavern).Also a local bakery, brilliant butchers, a kebab van and a lovely bric a brac shop too.

Lovely stay at the chapel!!

It was our first time staying in Bampton and the lovely Chapel did not disappoint!! Such a gorgeous and quirky place, the log burner was gorgeous and the open plan nature made it feel so spacey for myself, my husband and our little dog. Stunning village, great coffee shop right near by and perfect distance for the wildlife park, Daylesford etc. We had a lovely time and would absolutely book again

Great Place

Chapel House was great, had everything we needed. The location was excellent too, easy access to Oxford & the Cotswolds, the village had some good pubs, a coffee shop etc.

Short stay

2nd stay at Chapel House in cold January. Lovely space, privacy and warmth. Could do with a window seat in the Vestry. The shower control was very stiff and when turned shower on a bit of a trickle in ensuite. Didnt report this could have used other shower. Well equiped and comfortable. Log burner got warm quickly.

Great property, we would come again.

The Chapel was stunning, great space, well equipped and comfortable. Essentials like bread, tea, milk and eggs were thoughtfully provided. Only quibble, the heating which was too hot for the first few days, then went cold downstairs for one night, then back to comfortable. Don’t know why. Poor weather curtailed our walking plans, too many flooded fields, but Oxford is a great place to visit using the cheap Park and Ride and we enjoyed nearby Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water.

We’ve stayed here before, lovely place ,that’s why we came back , good location,for exploring the Cotswolds,a few local pubs . Love the way it’s been done up ,my only downside would be the no parking outside it and parking out on the road ,this time we had to pay for logs,whereas last time we didn’t.

Amazing stay at Chapel house

What an absolute amazing place. The restored Chapel was beautifully renovated and had everything we needed It was a very large property with loads of space and ideally located for works to pubs and restaurants. The woodburner made the place so cozy and warm ideal for winter getaways The only feedback would be there is very little outside space which we knew about but they could do a little more with what was there as the outside furniture needed updating

Great property and great value

Great property with bags of character and finished to a very high standard. Immaculate and very comfortable with good facilities and great pubs /walks/coffee shops in the village. Needed to contact the agent to report a repair. Response was swift. Would thoroughly recommend. We had a lovely stay.

Great Property!

Great place for our family meet up.

We love Chapel House it’s a special place. It has been sympathetically renovated and provides character and comfort. Bampton is an interesting village, lots going on. Very attractive buildings nice to wander about the pretty streets. We all enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning sometime.

Chapel House - a delightful property in the heart of the Cotswolds

We stayed at Chapel House for a week in August. The house is a beautifully renovated chapel with incredible attention to detail. It is spotlessly clean and extremely well maintained. The owners have thought of everything to make their guests feel both comfortable and at home. The beds are really comfortable, as is the sofa in the lounge. There is plenty of space for four people. There's lots to do in the Cotswolds - but this property is so lovely, we actually spent one of the days just relaxing 'at home'.

Beautiful cottage in a wonderful location

What a fabulous cottage! Everything we needed and Bampton is such a lovely village to explore whilst being a great base to visit the rest of what the Cotswolds has to offer. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

An excellent over all experience

Could not have been better! An excellent, professional booking and management service from Stay Cotswolds, we would definitely use them again. A very well looked after property, well provisioned in terms of things you may need to the house. A very good location with walks on your doorstep if you have a dog. Only one minor comment is the TV that switches itself on in the primary bedroom (there is a notice), however it would be better if it was replaced.

Week break in the Cotswolds

Perfect location for exploring beautiful part’s of the Cotswolds. Accommodation was perfect. Thank you to the staff at Stay Cotswolds for accommodating my Daughter to join us there for two nights to celebrate a milestone Birthday!!
