Cedar Cottage is a welcoming Cotswold holiday home which sleeps six guests, in three comfortable bedrooms, with two well-appointed bathrooms. This family friendly cottage offers a wonderful home-away-from-home experience, whether cosying up in the sitting room, cooking up a storm in the contemporary open plan kitchen/dining room or enjoying the sunshine in the garden. With its excellent location just a 15 minute walk from popular Bourton-on-the-Water, Cedar Cottage offers a relaxing space to enjoy year round with family or friends, and is even dog friendly, welcoming one dog!

This three bedroom holiday cottage in Bourton-on-the-Water is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with family and friends, exploring the local countryside and eateries. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

Winter break

Beautiful cottage on outskirts of Bourton. Easy walk into the centre. Really enjoyed a walk into Stow on the Wold from the cottage. Ideally placed to visit lots of lovely villages in the area.

It’s a shame the bathroom issue it had a leak was not rectified before our stay as this was an issue weeks before but the cottage was great apart from that and location was ok to walk into bourton

A very enjoyable stay!

We (four guests) found our stay at Cedar Cottage over the New Year period to be very enjoyable and an ideal base with which to explore the local Cotswold area. The cottage is well-equipped with plenty of space and has a welcoming feel to it (our Greyhound certainly settled in easily!) The instructions provided in using the property were clear and thorough, with lots of background to the area with suggestions for places to explore. There are a few minor issues starting to creep in (through usage of the cottage), the TV has a hazy purple band down the middle and a few walls / corners / bathroom could do with a minor refresh of paint here or there, but there was nothing that stopped our enjoyment of the property. We would certainly love to come back to Cedar Cottage; overall, a highly recommended property to consider if you are looking to visit the Cotswolds.

Autumn break

The house was well presented with ample room for 4 adults. Downside- grill was dirty, shower leaked in main bathroom, gate broken. The latter two issues had previously been identified in the guest book. Good location for touring the Cotswolds.

Lovely house, 20 minutes walk into the centre which was perfect. Easy to walk dog in the area. Great to have 2 parking spaces. Beds very comfortable which made for excellent sleeping. Lovely walk to the Lower and Upper Slaughter villages which were beautiful- just be mindful there is about 50m on a footpath next to a busy road.

Perfect location, lovely house for our stay in the Cotswolds

We had a wonderful stay at Cedar Cottage. The house was clean and tidy, with plenty of storage space available. The lounge was comfortable and cosy, we loved the imitation fire, but the TV has seen better days. The kitchen diner had everything we needed for our visit. We had no issues with the showers whilst there. Added bonus was being able to park on the driveway and unload the car via the back door. Although, Cedar Cottage is located at the start of the housing estate, we did not have any noise issues from the nearby industrial estate during our stay. Perfect location in the middle of the Cotswolds, within 30 minutes drive of many of the popular visitor attractions. Appreciated receiving the advanced guide and offers from StayCotswold, very informative. Highly recommend using them and staying at Cedar Cottage.

Great for a weekend away

All good, Nice and clean, with everything we needed for the weekend. Location is OK - a 20 min walk into Bourton, but very convenient for Hawstone Brewery. Instructions and access were all straightforward too.

A Great Long Weekend

We stayed at Cedar Cottage for a long weekend in February. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and well located to be able to visit a number of places and attractions in the area. This was our first visit to The Cotswolds and we will definitely return, and would stay at Cedar Cottage again.

Weekend in the Cotswolds

A comfortable cottage, well positioned for exploring the Cotswolds. A short walk to Bourton on the Water for a coffee. The cottage had everything that we needed and was very clean and well looked after.

Lovely comfortable stay

The cottage was lovely, clean and comfortable. Though 100m from an industrial estate, it was quieter than the hustle and bustle of Bourton on the Water village (20 min walk), good for our dogs though. My boys loved Hawkshead Brewery, just a ten minute walk away. Very nice beer. The cottage could do with some comfortable garden chairs to sit on at night, as the weather was glorious while we were there and the chairs on the patio were uncomfortable. I would still recommend this cottage to friends and family.

Short break at Cedar Cottage

Cedar Cottage was just right for our short break. It was very well equipped and comfortable. The layout worked really well as we had 2 dogs with us. The utility room was a big asset.

Beautiful Cottage in the Cotswolds

We had a brilliant stay in Cedar cottage. Very clean, great modern facilities and perfect for a family holiday. Our dog loved the garden too. The location is lovely for exploring Bourton, Stow and Slaughters. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Lovely cottage very clean and spotless.

Everything about the cottage was perfect, just for us it was slightly out of way but that was because my husband had a hip replacement 4 months ago and was not 100%. Very spacious and well equipped.

Wonderful stay, beautiful Cotswold home with all the comforts of home.

Lovely family home with everything you need for a long weekend stay. Beds are comfortable and location is quiet. Kids loved the games that were provided. Only negative is that the home is slightly further out of time than I thought so you have to have a car.

Stay at cedar cottage

This was a lovely house but although says Bourton it’s 1mile from town which meant driving and no taxis available due to Cheltenham festiva House for this reason would not be a first choice next time

What more could we ask for

Cedar Cottage was so comfortable and the standard of everything is excellent. The owners had equipped it to a very high standard and had thought of everything. We had excellent nights sleeps in super comfy beds. Thank you for letting us stay.

Lovely cottage
