My Way Guest House and self catering accommodation is only 2.3 miles from the historic City, yet tucked away in an idyllic location overlooking the rolling countryside of County Durham. The rooms are all very light and tastefully refurbished. All on the ground floor and each with a private entrance and en suite bathrooms. The self catering accommodation comprises of all four ensuite guest rooms as well as an open plan lounge and fully equipped breakfasting kitchen, a large decked patio, hot tub and wood burning sauna. Guests can also enjoy use of the large enclosed garden with bbq and amazing views of the rolling countryside. Guests will need to go up 2 steps to access the rooms.
Please note that the bedrooms are all next to each other but 2 of them are accessed directly from outside so may not be suitable for very young children.
Please also note that guests have sole use of the guest house accommodation, however the owners also live on site in the building and have stables adjacent to the garden - so guests are not totally alone during their stay. As owners we love hosting guests and are extremely welcoming and friendly. We really look after guests during their stay and are available assist where required.
The Aiden room (twin room with en suite shower and bath) and the Bede room (king size bed with en suite shower) have an adjoining lockable door and can be booked together by families with young children.
The Cuthbert room is our largest room and we can provide a travel cot and/or single fold out bed if required at a small extra fee. This room has an en suite bathroom with a bath and shower.
The Oswald room is a single room with a standard size (4ft small double bed). This room has an en suite shower. All of the bedrooms have TVs.
The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, freezer, egg boiler and large breakfast/dining table. There is a lounge area with a TV. All areas have high speed wifi.
There is a large decked patio with tables and chairs, sofas and a hot tub which overlooks the garden. There is a path which leads to the log burning sauna at the bottom of the garden. During the summer months, guests can use sun loungers in the garden.
