We had a great stay at the lodge. Plenty of room for our big group, with lots of options for sleeping. The gates on the deck and let run area were a huge bonus for our family that was traveling with dogs. We loved the view of the mountains with a cup of coffee in the morning and star gazing at night!

Thank you so much, Anne! We’re delighted that the Lodge worked so well for your group—and especially happy that the pups enjoyed the deck and dog run. Morning coffee with the mountain view and stargazing at night are two of our favorite things about the Lodge, too. Thank you for the wonderful review, and we’d love to welcome you and your family back again!

This is a great rental home in proximity to Gore Mountain. We were two adults with our dog and two children ages 12 and 13. Definitely recommend the local hike in/raft out Whitewater Rafting trip with Square Eddy Expeditions! Also booked a fishing trip on one of the local lakes. Drove to Lake George for some additional food options as North Creek did not have options for eating out. The rental home was private, clean, comfortable, and had a nice layout and enough bathrooms to suit our needs. The driveway is steep and unpaved, but was not an issue during the summer months. This is a very cozy and secluded accommodation.

Thank you, Jennifer! We’re so glad you and your family—and your dog—enjoyed your stay at Five Star Lodge and had the opportunity to experience some of the wonderful outdoor adventures around North Creek. The hike-in/raft-out trip sounds like a great addition to your Adirondack getaway! We especially appreciate your comments about the Lodge being clean, comfortable, private and cozy. For future guests, our online guest guide includes quite a few dining recommendations within about 2–10 miles of the Lodge, along with many of our favorite local activities and experiences. We’re also always working to make the property even better. Driveway improvements are scheduled for September, along with a new fire pit area for guests to enjoy. Thank you again for staying with us and for sharing your experience. We’d love to welcome you back for another Adirondack adventure!

We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was, making our time there even more enjoyable. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy for us to whip up meals together. Plus, being so close to Gore Mountain was a huge bonus, allowing us to hit the slopes with ease. Overall, a wonderful getaway that we can’t wait to revisit!

Great Get-Away

Our kids and grandkids all meet up with us each February to ski Gore Mt. The cabin was perfect. The kids declared the hosts “so generous!!” as they leave snacks and a hot cocoa bar. The owner was accessible and responsive. Our poodles were welcome and we did not have to worry about their safety as we were waaaay off the beaten path!

A Spectacular Experience!

Our family came to the Adirondacks to experience the 2024 eclipse. This top notch home made our weekend amazing. The amenities are terrific; everything that we needed was at our fingertips. A very clean home that was beautifully appointed. The deck adds to the outdoor experience for star gazing. We would highly recommend this home to others looking to have a special family time!

It’s a beautiful, large home in a quiet, wooded area. Perfect for a large family.

We had a wonderful time with the whole family, sitting by the fire, playing games and reading. There was a good 6 inches of snow that fell Friday night in to Saturday which made it that much more beautiful. We hiked a little in the area and walked the dirt snow covered road down to the main road which was a hike in itself. We will definitely consider returning again. It was a memorable weekend. Thank you!!

Stunning getaway in the ADK

The home and property are absolutely fantastic! We decided to take a very quick, last minute trip consisting of 3 adults and 10 children. So thankful to have decided on this property! Beautiful view of the mountains; the house is a *perfect* mountain home with enough space for a small crowd & has all the things you need to carry on as if you were at home 💗; even the road is a refreshing getaway itself...I could go on and on about how wonderful it was! On top of that, Gale was a terrific host and an excellent communicator! Would highly recommend staying at this stunning getaway!

An exceptional stay — highly recommend! From the very first message, the owners set the bar incredibly high. They were remarkably fast and precise in responding to every single question, starting from the booking phase all the way through our stay. No matter what we asked, they had a clear, helpful answer ready almost instantly — that kind of attentiveness truly makes a difference and gives you real peace of mind before and during your trip. The house itself exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was outfitted with everything you could possibly need — quality appliances, plenty of cookware, and all the small details that make cooking a pleasure rather than a chore. The entertainment spaces were equally impressive, with thoughtful amenities that made us feel right at home. The only regret? The weather didn't cooperate, and we weren't able to take full advantage of everything the property has to offer. That alone is reason enough to come back!A few more highlights worth mentioning:Spotlessly clean upon arrival — not a single thing out of placeComfortable and well-furnished throughout, with a welcoming, homey atmosphereGreat location, convenient for everything we neededSmooth check-in and check-out process, stress-free from start to finishExcellent value for money — you get far more than what you pay forWe would book this place again without a second thought and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful, well-managed vacation rental. Great spot for family retreat

We gathered at the lodge to celebrate Easter. Even though we had some chilly weather and flurries, the lodge was a great base for all our adventures and we were able to come home and warm up in front of the hearth. Plenty of space indoors and out for kids to play.

Great for Ski Trip

Great lodge-type house very convenient to Gore, just a couple minute drive to Gore. Modern interior, great living area with big windows and a view of Gore Peak! Everything you need. Unless you want the Ritz-Carlton, you will find it hard to find anything to complain about here. Very close to Gas / convenience and Basil and Wick's restaurant. Wi-Fi not the greatest but hey, you are in the mountains, and are supposed to be skiing anyway. Also, bring your 4 wheel or all wheel drive for the driveway in the winter. Other than that this place is awesome, hope to be back. Owner great to work with and helpful.
