The stunning Mill Villa is just a short walk from the wide, sandy beach in Pakefield near Lowestoft.

Elegantly furnished and decorated, this charming escape is the ideal getaway for discerning travellers. Mill Villa sleeps eight in super comfortable beds and offers numerous spaces for guests to relax and unwind. This house has a large, beautifully fitted kitchen/dining room, a cosy sitting room, a games room, four large bedrooms and a gorgeous lawned garden where you can soak up the sun all day long.

The area itself is full of beautiful beaches, many of which are award winning, so coast lovers really will be spoilt for choice. Lowestoft offers a bustling atmosphere and a range of places where you can eat, drink and shop. Venturing a little further, you will discover lots to see and do. Close by lies the unspoilt and sought-after resort of Southwold, with its pier and much-photographed beach huts; or for a change of pace, enjoy all the fun of the fair or walk along the Golden Mile at Great Yarmouth, which boasts traditional seaside attractions too numerous to mention.

Families should make time for a trip to Pleasurewood Hills, the only theme park in East Anglia, and those looking for a quieter time will find the Norfolk Broads National Park a great choice, the southern gateway of which lies in Oulton Broad, just a short drive away.

Shoppers should head to the medieval city of Norwich, which was voted one of the top ten shopping locations in the UK. Here you will also find a splendid Norman castle and a host of museums and galleries, all of which make this city a great day out, reached either by car or the nearby railway line.

Add in lots of great walks, cycle routes and wildlife watching opportunities and you will see why this area remains so popular. After a day out exploring and having worked up a great appetite, you will be delighted to find that there are not only lots of great places to eat close to Kirkley Cliff, but lots of delivery options for when you are too tired to cook or venture out. All in all, a perfect location.

We had a brilliant New Year break at Mill Villa. Its location is perfect if you love a quick walk to the beach. Food shops are within a few minutes walk, which was perfect for us. Some really good pubs within walking distance too. The house itself was great, really comfy beds, two great reception rooms one with a darts board and pool table, which were great fun. Great size kitchen, which was perfect for a good dance on NYE. One of the shower rooms is downstairs and the shower is quite small, it didn’t bother us in the least.The Welcome Pack from Sarah was very generous and very much appreciated. We loved it.

Great spot

Been to the area many times on holiday, usually caravans but decided to stay in a house instead. Great location and lovely walk along the coast a 5 min walk away. Lovely dog friendly pubs walking distance. House lovely, with everything you need. Would go back. Host was very accomodating and helpful.

Perfect for short get away

Lovely comfortable house, 5 mins to beach and pub. 20 mins from Southwold and a great spot for a weekend away with friends or family. The games room was popular and the Host was really helpful. Very happy to recommend.

Such a pretty house with great facilities and outdoor seating. Good location to get to the beach, to get into town and not too far from pleasure beach/ pleasurewood hills. We all had a lovely time.

Spacious house with games room

Bedrooms all good size.Comfortable furniture in lounge with good TV service. Big kitchen with good range of utensils. Could do with more crockery. Good location near shops and takeaways.

The house was a great size for the six of us. We enjoyed eating together at the table in the lovely big kitchen. The games room was used in the evening and we all (including our dogs) loved our daily long walks along the beach.

Family birthday weekend

The property was very easy to find, the whole house was well appointed but I was especially impressed with the ‘farmhouse’ kitchen. The games room was a big hit with everyone. The bedrooms were all a great size with comfortable beds. The beach - an easy walk away- was perfect as the nearest bit is dog friendly (year round). Overall, it was an ideal place for our family break away, we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lovely big and roomy older house. Three showers/bathrooms was a bonus, as was the big kitchen diner - a real family space. Verywell equipped too.

Fabulous home

Beautiful house, very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. We loved all the finishing touches with toiletries, cushions, throws and welcome pack. Fantastic garden which was completely safe and secure for our pooch to play in. We thoroughly recommend Milla Villa, fantastic location so close to a really lovely beach.

Mill villa was just as it said on line. The place was very big with everything you needed for your stay The games room was really good we had some good evenings in there. Mill Villa was in a very good location and with in walking distance to the shops pubs and also the local beaches. We would definitely come back. .

Great family home

We used the property as a reunion base for our family. The house is spacious and comfortable and has great facilities. The granchildren loved the games room and outside space. We walked to the beach via the pub in just a few minutes. The children loved the park situated across the road. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sarah was quick to respond to my questions ahead of our stay and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this property.

Spacious and comfortable, Great location

We were a family of 7 from 12 months to 91 years old, 4 generations - The house was very spacious and comfortable. Beds very comfortable albeit a little creaky. Games Room was a great addition. Nice Kitchen. Car access a little tight, but that is on the description. 8 minutes walk to the beach with a pub and nearby playground was ideal

Spacious accommodation

Lovely house and extremely helpful owner which was much appreciated with a 3 year old in the group. Very well equipped kitchen, everything you could need. 4 good size bedrooms, nice lounge and games room. Nice garden and furniture, room for children to run around. Close to lots of things to see and do including the beaches. Would recommend blackout blinds or curtains to be added in bedrooms as very light from 4am.

Great place but a couple of things need attention double glazing windows even when closed did not stop road noise road noises expected being on front of the main road It is an old property and does suffer a little bit with damp eg in the kitchen just behind the wine rack fluffing white damp in a couple of other areas but we had a dog that barked at any road noise so we had to close the doors at night only allowing them in the kitchen, when opening the doors in the morning rooms smell of damp mostly TV room Games room okay? But I would stay again

Amazing!

Where do we begin! Mill Villa is stunning in every way and spot on to its description. From the comfiest beds to the superbly equipped, beautiful kitchen, to the spacious garden and the wonderful games room which everyone loved. Everything was so clean and fresh and homely. We had asked the host, Sarah, if she’d consider our 4 dogs and she kindly agreed which we were so grateful for. When we arrived there were dog beds, blankets, bowls and even dog shampoo and poo bags provided, she had definitely gone above and beyond for us, it was wonderful. The location was perfect too, the beach is 5 mins walk from Mill Villa with lovely pubs (all dog friendly) and great amenities all close by. We won’t hesitate to book again and if you’re lucky enough to get booked here, enjoy every moment! Sarah is an attentive host who responds quickly to any queries and shows genuine care for you during your stay, a perfect host. Thank you Sarah!

Mill Villa was my great grandparents house which I inherited from my mother. It has been a huge part of my family's history and I have always loved sharing it with other people.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Pakefield is a lovely community south of lowestoft and like many villages has a beautiful church, which is on the cliff and many lovely pubs. The beach at Pakefield is much quieter than the busy lowestoft beach with its pier and kiosks but I love its peacefulness and watching the fishermen and the dogs out for their walks.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Mill Villa has always been a place that has bought people together and has a rich history a summary of which can be found in the Guest Book. It has so many spaces to chill on your own or come together with others from the reading chair on the upstairs landing to the games room downstairs. And a real feature is the stunning kitchen with its beautiful soft tones and magnificent mantle which is a nod to its Victorian heritage.
