Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
Tucked away in a tranquil location amidst the trees, this adorable cottage with stunning views over the Mawddach Estuary is ideal for a small family, or a romantic getaway.
The village of Arthog makes a great base for exploring the wider area and is ideal for outdoors lovers who can take advantage of its proximity to a number of scenic locations and walking routes. Keen walkers can access the Wales Coast Path which offers enjoyable routes heading both north and south, explore the Mawddach Trail, a 15km route along the disused railway line between Barmouth and Dolgellau, or venture to Cadir Idris for more challenging, hilly routes.
The Cregannan Lakes, situated on the northern slopes of Cadair ldris, are a renowned beauty spot located roughly two miles from Arthog, enjoy a walk around these natural lakes, or head up to Pared y Cefn Hir to enjoy spectacular panoramic views over the mountains and Mawddach Estuary. Also nearby the Arthog Stone Circle and Arthog Waterfalls are worth visiting, or for something a little different, nearby Bwlchgwyn Farm offers pony trekking along the Estuary and Fairbourne beach.
There are several towns within easy driving distance including Dolgellau, less than 15 minutes away. This pretty town has more listed buildings than any other Welsh town and is well worth a visit. Roughly 30 minutes to the south you'll find Aberdyfi, an attractive little seaside resort with pastel coloured houses, a large sandy beach and quaint harbour. To the north the popular seaside town of Barmouth, with its vast beach, amusements and choice of pubs and cafes, is approximately a 25 minute drive; a little further on the small town of Harlech is famous for its castle and long, sandy beach.
As an alternative to driving the towns of Harlech, Porthmadog, Criccieth and Pwllheli to the north, as well as Aberdyfi and Tywyn to the south, are all easily accessible via the Cambrian Coast train line.
