Villa Paraiso Beautiful villa in an enviable position

I have copied the email which you sent to me at the time which clearly states that the incident was your own fault for leaving a patio door wide open and threatening to write a bad review if I did not reimburse you. The doors and windows are brand new and under guarantee, if we had known there was a problem it would have been fixed immediately. We can only fix things as they are reported but this is irrelevant to your problem. You clearly state you would write a glowing review if I gave you money, I did not appreciate the veiled threat. I am sorry this happened to you spoiling your trip "Hi Kate, we are at the villa and having a wonderful time, it is beautifully laid out and in a perfect location. Unfortunately, yesterday evening whilst we were eating our meal outside, someone entered the property via the front bedroom, and stole cash from my wallet and my wife's handbag. As we were in at the time, the patio door wasn't closed fully, therefore I am not covered by insurance - which I understand and accept. I contacted security and phoned the police. The police came immediately and filled in a report which I have. Security weren't as prompt, and we had to phone a second time after 1 hour before they came. Once we had discovered we had been robbed, I did a security check myself on all the patio doors, only to find, alarmingly, that my children's bedroom door was not locked,and after many attempts found we were unable to lock it as the sliding door on the left as you look at it, was not engaged and as there is no handle, it was not possible to secure the property, and obviously hadn't been for the first 5 days of our stay. I informed security and he managed to rectify the issue. As you are the owner of the property I felt it necessary to inform you, and there is some damage to the tiles on the wall by the front gate, where the thieves must have made their entry/escape. Unfortunately my children are very unnerved by this experience and were unable to sleep last night. Fortunately it was only £60 and € 100 that was taken, but given the situation with the patio door, could have been a lot worse. As I am unable to claim from my insurance I would appreciate reimbursement of that money in recognition of the vulnerability of the property due to the broken door in our children's bedroom. Thank you so much in anticipation of your cooperation, and I would still be happy to give the property the outstanding review it deserves, without further mention of this issue"

I am really sorry about this, we do our best to accommodate everyone but we have no control on the state previous clients leave the property and how long the maids will take. We try where possible to let people have early access but sometimes it just isn't possible. I am glad you enjoyed the villa though!
