Thanks for taking the time to write a quick review. We are a little confused, however, about your comments regarding the orientation with the manager as she spent over and hour speaking to you and answering your questions about various aspects of your visit upon your arrival. She also touched base with you a number of times throughout the week. It also seems like you did not have an opportunity to read the large booklet that we leave out for guests regarding restaurants, tips and things to do on the island. Regardless, we’re glad to hear you enjoyed you week.

Glad you loved the villa, beach and the surrounding area. Wish you would have mentioned your towel issue to us, as it could have easily been resolved. Seems like there was a misunderstanding as the cost you mentioned was for an additional mid stay clean of the entire villa. Guest satisfaction is always a top priority for us.

Happy to hear that you enjoyed the space, comfort and location of the villa. We are a little disappointed about the four star rating based on the glass - the glass that you are referring must be our two large glass sliding doors as that is the only glass around. Those sliding doors are one of the villa's best features as they provide great outdoor/indoor living space and most guests love them.

Pleased that the villa had everything that you needed for your stay. We are disappointed in the four star rating as we pride ourselves in providing great amenities and top service for our guests. Our manager quickly responded to all your minor requests. Not sure which route you took to the beach as it does not have a hill and it should take half that time. There are very clear three step directions available for running the the washing machine at the villa as well.

We are surprised about the issues that you mentioned in your review considering that you stated you had a wonderful vacation upon checkout. We are very transparent in our advertisement about the 3-4 minute proximity of the beach and the charge of utilities based on consumption. We have newer, energy efficient appliances and AC units which coupled with mindful use help with reducing utility costs. Regarding central air, that simply does not exist in homes on the island due to building design. All bedrooms and the living room have independent AC units which can be adjusted based on need, further contributing to utility savings. Regarding mosquitos, being a tropical island, they are present after rainfall and dusk and dawn. We have a mosquito machine on the deck to repel mosquitos and we mention other deterrents in an information booklet at the villa. This booklet also has instructions on operating various appliances at the villa, the washing machine being one of them. Push power, select clean cycle and start is not difficult for most guests that have used the machine. It seems like you did not fully read our advertisement or take a look at our villa information booklet.

Glad you enjoyed the central location. The villa does have easy access to the national park and the best beaches, which are actually on the west side of the island. There are a few beaches to the east which will take you a little longer to reach during busy times as there is just one main road heading east which can get congested at particular times during the day. As with any warm climate, any food left out on the counter will attract ants and rainy weather will increase the mosquito population that is why we advise guests to place all open food in the fridge and use repellant at dusk. Both the fan and the AC remote have been repaired.

We are one of the few properties that actually give any credit towards utility use. Most guests are appreciative of this and work towards reasonable consumption during their stay. We have energy efficient appliances and new AC units that reduce costs. We also have an AC unit in the main living area, which is rare in other villas at Blue Bay. Running the AC all day in a wasteful manner, while not inside, will always increase the cost of utilities. Previous guests have had no concerns as our ad is transparent about these costs and about items included in the villa, shampoo and lighters not being one of them, but happily remedied by the manager since we pride ourselves on guest satisfaction.
