Boston House - A great celebration house at the heart of the English Lake District.

Boston House, sleeps 15 in 7 bedrooms with 7 bathrooms. This classic Lake District house has a large kitchen, 7-seat hot tub in a private area and a 15-seat cinema in the cellar. Located close to Windermere the property is ideally placed for walking into the village with all of its cafes, restaurants and bars.

The house features a lounge with large leather Chesterfield sofas, Smart TV and a living flame gas fire. The dining room seats up to 15 guests. The large kitchen has a central island unit, a large electric range cooker, 2 dishwashers and everything you need to cook up a splendid meal for your guests. The cellar is home to our 15-seat cinema with 75 inch Smart TV. Upstairs there are 7 bedrooms, 5 are ensuite, there are 2 separate bathrooms one on each floor.

Outside there is a rear courtyard garden with a private 7-seat hot tub. At the front of the property, there is parking for up to 8 cars. There is access to a fast EV charger located on the wall of the maintenance building.

We welcome up to 4 dogs at the property. There is an additional charge per dog, which can be added at check-out.

Amazing stay!

Such a brilliant weekend away with friends at Boston House. The location is perfect, right next to the station with lots of parking. House was clean and rooms were lovely with plenty of space. The hosts provided lots of information in advance and the stay was very smooth! Even had some sun for the hot tub! Would absolutely stay here again - thank you!

Another Fantastic Stay

Another stay at Boston House and another bunch of great family memories! My family use this place as a meeting place coming from Warrington (my wife & I), Scotland, Dubai & Hong Kong, and every visit is special. We love Boston House (& Number One) and of course - Windermere itself. Consistently great venue, really nice people (owners & housekeepers) - highly recommended.

Break at Boston

Our party of 12 very much enjoyed their stay in this lovely old house. It would have been a squeeze for original group of 14 though. Cleanliness good superficially, but significant amounts of thick dust and cobwebs in the less obvious areas, and strong dog smell in the living room. Loved the hot tub and cinema. Hosts very communicative and booking all ran smoothly. Great base for walking, buses and shops. Would definitely recommend.

We booked for a corporate meeting. Everything about our stay was seamless. Very clear communication from the owners beforehand, the owner was on site if we needed anything. The house was perfect for our needs and being so close to Windermere was a real bonus.

Fantastic girls weekend at Boston House

Andy and Barbara were fantastic hosts and a pleasure to deal with. Communication was excellent throughout – they checked in with me before our stay and shared plenty of useful information and tips ahead of our visit. Check-in was seamless thanks to the key box at the front door, which made arrival really easy. The house itself was immaculate and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was a real highlight – perfectly heated and ready to enjoy. We also loved the cinema room downstairs; it was so easy to settle in and stream a film on Netflix. The location couldn’t have been better. It’s an easy walk into Windermere and only around 25 minutes to Bowness. A few of us travelled by train, and the house is just a two-minute walk from the station, which was incredibly convenient. Having a Booths supermarket nearby was also a big plus. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back. Thank you again!

Fantastic Family Time

Boston house was absolutely perfect for our family holiday. Accommodation was spot on for us, our children and grandchildren and not forgetting the dogs ‍. Location was spectacular, from walking over the road and up the hill to fantastic views and walking down to harbour and getting to cruise Windermere.. our second visit and another great time had by all

Great Location

Lovely property in a great location. It is walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants. The property is spacious and and it is well furnished. The bedrooms are a good size. The owners were very informative and I cannot fault their communication when further information was needed. All in all we had a fab week with the family.

Family Holiday

This is the second time staying at Boston House, As always we had a fabulous time. Everything we needed was to hand. Fantastic property in a great location

A beautiful property, a group of 14 stayed at the property for a Hen Party. It is a great location, an easy walk into Windermere with Booths supermarket, shops, restaurants and pubs near by. The property is very well equipped, it’s decorated tastefully and feels really homely. Lots of space and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms meant no waiting to get ready. Many of our party said they would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

Fabulous stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Boston House for a hen party. We've stayed at The Terrace many times before and this time was just a fantastic. Such lovely accommodation, cosy and elegant. Amazing facilities with everything you could possibly need. The location is great for exploring the lakes and for cafe trips. Excellent all round.

A great family base for exploring Windermere and surroundings

The house is exactly what it says on the tin. The whole family enjoyed being there and we didn't even get into the cinema or play darts!! If there was one thing that would have made it better it would have been to turn the whole terrace through 180 degrees so that the afternoon and evening sun was on the back areas which were obviously more private.

Great family break

Wonderful accommodation, close to local amenities and train station. Boston house is beautiful, plenty of space for large groups and families. Had everything we needed. Kitchen well equipped. Lovely week relaxing with the family.

Weekend break

Good house for a large family gathering, loads of parking (5 spaces) useful. Large lounge that all can fit in and sit down. Comfortable bedrooms and spacious. We had glorious weather so our only ask would have been better outdoor furniture and more out front as thats where the sun is (south facing) only 3 chairs out front, 3 more pulled in from garden but there was 11 of us.

Perfect venue for gathering of family and friends, including family dog.

Boston House was the perfect venue for a gathering of family and friends for our big wedding anniversary. The owner and manager are very thoughtful and friendly. The location, layout of the house and facilities are excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to book again or recommend to others.
