We came to England for the first time (from the USA) to attend the Goodwood Revival and decided to arrive a week early to explore a bit of the English countryside. The home itself felt quite new and had all the modern comforts we neededâbut what truly won us over was the town and its people. Everyone we met was so charming, kind, and eager to help. Asking for directions or recommendations was never an issue, and we felt genuinely welcomed everywhere we went.We spent time enjoying local spots for food and drinks, and they didnât disappoint. The Wittering was just a short 5-minute drive and close to the beach, perfect for a casual pint or a bite to eat. Closer to the house and East Wittering beach, we tried Drifters when we were in the mood for fish and chips. The Guinness on tap was excellent, and our waitress, Paula, couldnât have been friendlier. The whole place had a warm, family vibeâwith locals, staff, and even dogs making us feel at home.Another night, we dined at Rosarioâs, where to our delight, Paula was working there too! Once again, the service was outstanding, with all of the staff being attentive and welcoming. That evening we shared tapas, which were fantastic. We also learned they do a traditional Sunday Roast, so of course we had to return the next day. Between the 4 meats offered, the roast pork belly was my highlightâcrispy and tender at the same time. Absolutely delicious. All in all, our stay was more than just a tripâit was an experience to remember
