Cedar Beach Lodge is a modern, smoke-free, year-round vacation rental house retreat located in the desirable and private Cove Point Beach Community on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. The lodge is just a 5 minute walk to the beach. It is conveniently located 1 hour from Annapolis, MD and Washington, DC on Route 4 and 10 minutes from Solomons Island, MD, and many Calvert County attractions. Imagine your family enjoying the sunrise at dawn or a bonfire at night on the beautiful 1 mile long beach! Walk to the Cove Point Lighthouse and look for Miocene Era fossils and shark’s teeth!

This immaculate cedar lodge was built in 2005. HDTV in great room and MBR! Your family and guests will enjoy all the comforts of home! Sleeps 6-8 comfortably! Private master bedroom loft w/king bed, TV and nursery area with crib, 2nd bedroom has 1 queen bed, 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds and there is a queen sized pull-out sofa bed in the great room. 2 full baths and private outdoor shower with dressing area. Dog friendly (with owners approval.)

Peak Season (May 1-September 30): 2 night minimum or weekly Off Peak Season (October 1- April 30): 2 night minimum, weekly or monthly. Holidays: Memorial and Labor Day weekends 3 nights minimum and Thanksgiving 4 nights minimum.

The home was very nice, set up for kids and sat in a very quiet location. The beach was a 2 minute walk and the neighborhood was perfect for the kids to ride their electric bikes. The kids found many shark teeth and fossils. What absolutely stay here again.

Truly a lovely home! Had an incredible time with friends celebrating my birthday here. Just a short walk from the beach. The amenities are great for a nice weekend. The owners are super kind and great communicators.

Marcel was a wonderful host. The house is VERY well equipped with beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, etc. They also have loads of children’s toys and books. The kitchen has plenty of pots/pans/dishes. The proximity to the beach was great for my kid to walk and explore. We were able to get to the private beach north of the lighthouse which is where we found a good amount of sharks teeth!

Very nice stay. The property was very close to the beach, as promised. Only a short walk, and they had two pull wagons available for guest use to take down chairs, coolers, etc. Outdoor shower was great. Pillows in all rooms were pretty flat, but overall everything was great.

My family and I loved our stay. The host was extremely responsive to questions and concerns and reached out directly to me to address them. The house is clean and the location is less than 5 minute walk to a private beach. Plenty of sand toys for kids and the outside shower was a nice touch for getting rid of beach sand. My only complaint is one bed was a bit squeaky but the kids were so tired it didn’t bother them. Highly recommend

This lovely lodge is in a small, charming beach community and just a short walk to a beautiful private beach. The house is well equipped, inviting and beautifully maintained. It is the perfect place for a beach vacation.

We had a great time staying at the cedar beach lodge. It was perfect for families with young kids—they had books and toys so we didn’t need to bring anything in that respect. The supply room was also stocked, which we unfortunately didn’t think to check earlier on. Kitchen and pantry were also well stocked. It was a close walk to the beach and close drive to stores and Solomon’s which was great for us and the kids. Hosts were also very communicative.

Very cozy and cabin like. Great place to relax. Exactly what we needed. Has so much stuff, be sure to check hallway cabinets and storage space! Lots of family fun in this house.

Lovely place with everything needed for our stay.Short walk to the private community beach which was very nice. Found lots of small shark teeth.Restaurants and shops not too far away.Loved it and would definitely stay again.

Hunting for fossils at the beach

Cedar Beach lodge was just right for our family. We had hoped to spend lots of time hunting for fossils at the beach. The beach is beautiful. We spent many hours found lots of fossils and had fun at the water’s edge. .

Wonderful Experience

We loved the house! The host reached out b/c a tree had damaged the chimney & fireplace. She offered a discount and we are so happy we accepted! It was wonderful! The home is well stocked, clean, great location, and even has towels for the dog! They thought of everything. We tried to think of things they didn't have still working on that! Book this house! The host was fabulous to work with and we will go again.

Great Place

This was a fantastic place even though Summer has gone. Great quiet and peaceful location. The home was so very cozy and had almost everything you could think of in it. The home was clean and directions for lights/fans were well written. The view of the woods was great and lots of deer! The walk to the beach was a very short stroll. In the comminity there are many paths to the beach and the walk in the neighborhood seems to be safe from fast cars. The speed limit is 25 and they go even slower off tbe main road. Therefore, it makes it a pleasure to walk or ride bikes with your loved ones. Although I do not have little kids of my own there are definitely many toys and items in storage to entertain them. I would definitely stay again!

Cozy and welcoming

This house is the perfect size and layout for a small, close family (although with extra travelers it might feel a little tight). We came down for Fall Break and found everything we needed. The private beach is a short walk away and there are more than enough outdoor toys/bikes/beach equipment to take advantage of. We'll be back!

Cedar Point Lodge

Overall, great experience: clean & well-stocked house, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the shore, and plenty to do nearby. We're already talking about coming back next year. The only small note I'd give would be the ease of getting the WiFi password. We were asked to email but never heard back during our trip. I would recommend providing that when giving the front door code; reception was spotty for some of us in the house.

Just What We Wanted

House is very geared towards families with all the beach equipment, bikes, games, toys, etc., it was also perfect for our party of three. We found the house provided us with everything we needed, I especially like the screened in porch. We all agreed that it is a house we would like to rent again. The beach is a leisurely 5 minute walk away where we hunted for beach glass and shark’s teeth.

Fabulous house near the beach

Well maintained and clean property with lots of character. Plenty of kitchenware for cooking and loads of games for family time. Under the house there are chairs, bikes, sun umbrellas and everything you'll need for the beach. The beach is only a few minutes walk and was fabulous and quiet - we watched the sunrise and sunset on most days. The area has some nice bars and restaurants, but it's not a major city, so is quiet and unhurried.
