The house was perfect for a girlâs trip. It slept 9 of us very comfortably and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. This is our third year and weâll be back!
It was perfect size for our large group and host was very nice. They allowed dogs which was a lifesaver! Cute home and area. We would love to come back.
This house & location was perfect for my family, although we spent most of the weekend doing wedding things, it accommodated us perfectly. Plenty of space & clean!! Thanks for helping in making our weekend wonderful!!
We had a great time. The house accommodated 11 of us very comfortably. Close to a brewery, great restaurants and the beach! Will definitely stay again.
This home was spacious and so nice that my children and their wives/infant children had their own bedroom and bathroom. It was convenient to all of our wedding activities. We would rent it again!
I rented this house to celebrate my 53rd birthday with 9 of my girlfriends. The house was cozy and had everything we needed to enjoy our four day weekend near the beach. Please tip the housekeepers because they did an awesome job.
This house and property were perfect for our family. We loved the quiet and private country setting. The grounds were well-maintained, and the house was spacious and very clean. We enjoyed our stay very much and may possibly return someday.
We had another fabulous weekend at RiverPark. The house is roomy, comfortably appointed and very welcoming. Weâve stayed here every time we did a fall bike ride, and will keep coming back!
Very spacious and clean. They had all the supplies we needed from toilet paper to towels utensils. The beds were comfortable. My husband was upset about having one TV but to be honest I'm glad they didn't have TVs in the other rooms because we all sat and watch TV together as a family. Very quiet area and even had a cute cat house next door. Did a fire pit in the back and it was very nice.
Hi! We did enjoy your very nice house/property. We just found the twin bed and full bed on the second floor extremely uncomfortable. The furniture in the living roomâŠsofa was fine, however, the two round chairs were really dirty. We loved the yard and wish we could have enjoyed the fireplace out there but the weekend was rainy. Thank you so much for your hospitality. PS I didnât realize this was a pet friendly rentalâŠđ. We did enjoy our stay!
Amazing value for the money! Large group would love it!
Quiet location about 5 minutes from the heart of Cape Charles. There's a house directly across that's far enough to not feel intrusive, but close enough that a large group could walk back and forth, if desired. Large clearing other than the two homes.
Plenty of seating, including a deck with a dining table and sectional sofa that weren't pictured, so that was a nice surprise.
The owner communicated promptly, and check-in/out procedures were easy and reasonable. Would definitely recommend, especially for large groups (there was only two of us, so it felt a bit isolated...not the owner's fault)!
Easy access to Cape Charles, CB Bridge, and other points. Can't beat it for the $; could see myself planning a large family gathering there in the future.
We recently stayed here with a rather large group, for adults and eight kids.
Pros:
The house and setting are charming.
Very comfortably fits 12 people
Adequate furnishings for everyone
Short drive to Cape Charles on one end and Kiptopeke State Park on the other.
Owner was good to work with
Cons:
Not sure where the water comes from (probably well water) but it has a smell that is quite strong and isnât great. Youâre going to want to bring bottled water for your stay.
House just needs some attention that is more than just surface level. There were lots of places where the walls are dirty and need to be cleaned or just repainted. Floors were swept but didnât appeared to be mopped. And there were stains in places like the bathrooms. Some of the stains would require the whole sink/tub to be changed out but other things like the white shower curtain that is stained dark yellow on the bottom would be an easy and cheap fix.
You are out on farmland so there were bugs that had made their way into the house. The good thing though is that they werenât things like bed bugs, cockroaches, or mice. They were things like little beetles, wispy spiders, and such. They didnât bother me or my husband but they bothered some of my kids.
We stayed two nights at this place. It was quiet and peaceful. Exactly what we need it. Kitchen had what we need for coffee and liquids all good. If you ask me what would I change it would be the bath in the 3rd floor shower wise way too small. Other than that all good.
Nice location. For the most part, I was satisfied. The house does need a deep cleaning. The stove/refrigerator needed attention. Would like to have had space in the pantry to place a few items. Please make checking under all beds as part of the cleaning process.
Great property for 2 families! Wedding was at the Oyster Creek Farm, so location of house was convenient! Would definitely stay here again!
Thank you Merle!
25 years ago we purchased a farm on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and fell in love with the natural beauty of this special land. This waterfront farm on Old Plantation Creek enjoys acres of beautiful farm fields, an abundance of wildlife and breathtaking sunsets over the Chesapeake Bay. Our vacation rental properties allows us to share this special magic with our guests.
We built this new vacation rental home on our farm because our first vacation rental property was an overwhelming success and we enjoyed hosting visitors to the natural beauty of the Eastern Shore. Now we have two comfortable 6 bedroom homes available for rent on our scenic Eastern Shore farm.
Tranquil views of open farm fields. Secluded setting while nearby the charming town of Cape Charles, beautiful beaches and great fishing. Exquisite sunsets over the Chesapeake Bay.
