This stunning, secluded home 90 minutes from Dublin, 50 minutes Rosslare, sits in its landscaped grounds with wonderful views towards Mt Leinster. The pretty village of Clonegal is 1/2 mile away and Bunclody 10 minutes drive. Nearby are the renowned Sha-Roe Bistro, Huntington Castle, Altamont Gardens and Mt Wolseley Golf Club. With 2 large sitting rooms, 1 with murals by the artist owner, and a generous kitchen/dining room, there is ample space for a group or family holiday. Perfect escape.
We had a wonderful break at this gorgeous house - a unique and beautiful place. Very comfortable, super-clean and with lots of space.
Everyone slept well in beautifully decorated and comfy bedrooms. Highly recommend for groups that are happy to do their own cooking (restaurant options require a drive).
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOME.What a beautiful home with plenty of room for our family holiday. There are plenty of bedrooms (5) and bathrooms (4). There are two kitchens within the house. The home allowed privacy with plenty of places to enjoy and relax both inside and outside. The flowers in the outside gardens added another beautiful space to relax. Our trip included visiting many historical places. When we came back to the home, we spent the majority of our time in the sunroom with real grape vines growing from the ceiling. Throughout the home, there are mural paintings which are breath taking. We enjoyed looking at the murals and appreciating the intricately painted works of art. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were grateful to have a piano in such a beautiful space filled with mural paintings. The house manager, Peter, was so kind and helpful. He gave us brown bread, wine and butter when we arrived. Peter gave us a tour of the home. Peter was just a call away if we ran into any challenges. Our only negative comment relates to the driveway to get to the home. When we arrived, we struggled to find the house. We missed the entrance more than once. The beauty of this home and the peacefulness provided far outweighed the challenges with the driveway.
A Beautiful, Serene and Tranquil Setting With Incredible Views in all directions.
This property has magnificent views in a quiet, tranquil and serene environment. We literally spent hours relaxing, soaking in the unbelievable sunrises and sunsets. We spent a couple hours taking family portraits around the property.
We had 5 adults and 5 children ages 7-12 and we had plenty of space the children loved playing in the spacious property.
It was conveniently located for our exploration of the East Coast of Ireland. Day trips to Dublin and Waterford were easily accessible from this location.
Peter, the property manager was a very gracious host who went above and beyond by providing us some delightful treats upon our arrival and assisting us with logistics for our excursions.
If you want a quiet retreat with incredible scenery then this is your home away from home.
