For those who would like to venture further there are numerous places to visit including La Souterraine, our local town with a choice of restaurants, tourist attractions and market days, the medieval city of Limoges and the beautiful Valley of the Painters, a favourite among Impressionist artists. The gite is located on the route of ‘le chemin de Saint Jacques de Compostelle’, a network of pilgrims' ways leading to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
