Great spot!

This home really makes you feel like you are staying in a historical home with special touches and an authentic feel. We enjoyed each having our own rooms and having a place to unwind after busy days. The lack of A/C is not an issue with windows to open and fans provided. Host was available and quick to respond to our inquiries. Only drawback is that the neighbourhood is a bit vibrant at night and we had a younger kid we were travelling with…but certainly comes with the character of any city downtown location. My family really enjoyed the spot - the view of the harbour and the location was unbeatable.

Charming, traditional house with great location

PROS: Great communication with the host who was very helpful throughout our stay. Charming, traditional house with great location to conference center. Easy walk to Signal Hill, George Street and the harbour. Rooftop space is lovely. Fans provided by the host were a must for keeping cool at night.CONS: minor cons only. Access to rooftop patio was a steep, narrow pull down ladder. Had to buy toilet paper as there wasn't enough for our stay.

All around excellent

Four of us came to stay for the Georgie Street Festival and couldn’t recommend a better place. Very clean house, lots of great amenities and the hosts were readily available when we had questions. Highly recommend.

Historic Home

Beautiful house, very well kept and clean with all the amenities. Very close to great restaurants and easy access to all routes to see the sights. Very hot during our stay, so all of the floor fans were greatly appreciated! An overall great feel to the house.

Our stay went well, our host addressed any concerns or inquiries we had quickly. The house was perfect for our family stay in St.John’s: close to downtown to walk to, and it had enough room for 5 adults to use for an extended stay.

Wonderful - Highly recommend

Property was lovely, clean, well accommodated and great location. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Only little thing and I may be wrong. I thought, initially, property had four beds and it turns out it had a king and two doubles. We made it work and two of us shared a king as we were four single gals travelling together. It all worked and it was delightful.

Great Girls Weekend!

This property was perfect for our girls weekend in St. John’s! Stephane and Cory were wonderful hosts. Everything in the property was as advertised. The kitchen was extremely well appointed and well organized. There were plenty of towels and extra linens. The location was great for all of our needs, both downtown St. John’s and outside of town. Would highly recommend!

Nice home and good location

We liked the location and overall home was adequate for space. A couple challenges for us were the outside street lights shining in bedrooms and road noise that goes on all night. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Location worked well for convenience to walk down to tourist attractions but ran in to some shady characters around place. Depends on what your priorities are.

Great Row House clean and bright

We enjoyed our stay in St. Johns this property is close to downtown and walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Plenty of room very clean home with all amenities. While WiFi was available there was no ability to watch TV as there was no cable connection. We felt safe in this location the view from the upstairs bedroom was beautiful, there at one time was a balcony on the roof but appeared to have been removed when we were there. Travelled to Newfoundland to experience the landscapes and ocean views and we were not disappointed.

Great place for a week in St. John’s

Very clean, nicely appointed, absolutely everything you need in the kitchen and great high capacity laundry. 10 minute walk to The Rooms, the Basilica, St. John’ restaurant and entertainment district and Sobey’s groceries, pharmacy and liquor store. Our time walking up the hill improved greatly over the course of the week! Shared this space with my two adult sons - we were very comfortable. Loved the rooftop for Happy Hour, even with the folding ladder and hatch to navigate. Good communication with the hosts who were very responsive and accommodating. The owners have put in a huge effort to restore this heritage home and are continuing to make improvements. Their builders were responsive to our wishes. I will recommend to friends and hope to return.

Disappointing

Just cleaning up my emails and realized I intended to respond I didn't Although it was 8 months ago it still upsets me . Before we arrived I had questions about the construction and wanted to know if it would be complete before arrival it took mutable request and time before we got a response and this had us very stressed out and wondered if we should try and find another place.We booked for 3 weeks they listed entertainment TV..did not tell you there is no cable...so there is a TV but you can not watch it, looking forward to having my morning tea on the roof top deck they advertised -could not go up there as the stairway up was not save...would not pass an inspection. Smallest kitchen- not equipped for long term stay...thank fully I was able to borrow roasting pan, large pot,strainer and mutable other supplies to make meals. They did have BBQ tools in the kitchen but there is no BBQ. The master bed sinks so bad in the middle we had to sleep on it horizontal. We hoped to have family over for meals but it was so unsuitable my sister rented a better place where we gathered(much nicer larger and cheaper) very shoddy repairs done on the place ...I could go on and on but no point.I would not book there again. Positive about the place very clean and location

Clean, comfy, and well located

A quite nice place to stay near downtown St. John's. An easy check-in process, clean and comfy. I especially liked the beautiful stained-glass windows. I found it a little bit pricey for the amount of space and amenities. The listing saying that it sleeps 8 is a stretch – there are three beds, and one of the bedrooms is very small. That being said, we had six adults there for one night and everyone was comfortable.

Quant Accommodation Close to Downtown

This property is a very cute quant accommodation close to downtown St. Johns with partial views and parking. The neighborhood was walkable to downtown. The unit was spacious and equip with everything needed. My only feedback is that for the area, I was surprised the unit didn't have a deadlock. Overall would stay again!

We are Cory and Stephane. We've owned this property since summer 2017. We are Canadian and New Zealand citizens with a passion for travelling and the finer things in life including travelling, fine food and wine and the outdoors.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We love downtown St. John's and heritage homes. This late 19th century townhouse ticks all the boxes. It's cosy comfortable, very well furnished and appointed with cool artwork throughout. The location is great just a very short walk to George, Water and Duckworth Streets, the downtown entertainment and business districts. It is super close the Mile One stadium and the convention centre.
We love this place. and are confident you will too.
