Beautiful private modernised gated Bungalow 15 minute walk to Gran Anse Beach đ
I hope these photos do justice, to this beautiful modernised, but still has the great feeling of I am in the Caribbean bungalow. This private gated bungalow is less than 10 minutes from the airport, has its own driveway for your parking convenience and own access it has been decorated throughout with all new kitchen appliances including a washing machine and new bathroom/wet rooms, one being an en-suite in the master bedroom. It comes with access for wheelchair/pushchair users or for persons that cannot necessarily step up the two steps into the one levelled dwelling. What vacationers have told me they love about this place and area is it is private if you want it to be, feels safe and quiet. You also have the luxury of the bus that takes you to GrandAnse beach, several shopping malls, eating and banking areas stopping right outside the gate, the bus also takes you directly into the lovely St. Georgeâs town, which is ideal if you have smaller persons who may not be able to walk long distances or you are just not feeling the walk yourselvesđ
If you decide to come home late evening the sensor light will light up the drive for you well-being.
The keys are located in the key security boxes (codes given nearer to your stay) one at the access ramp and one at the front door which ideally when you venture out itâs best to put the keys back in the security boxes so you donât have to carry them around and reduces misplacing your keys.
In the ample seating dining and second lounge area there is a lovely new smart tv for those days or evenings you just feel like relaxing in your own space.
The breeze that comes through this whole home is amazing the ramp door splits in two itâs lovely when just the top is open apart from the beautiful view outside again the breeze is gorgeous even though ceiling fans have been installed in each bedroom for your extra comfort.
You have your own veranda at the front with lovely rocking chairs just to sit and enjoy the lovely Grendian heat. Last but not least the mangoes, limes and whatever else is there when in season for you to pick and enjoy
Lovely âhome from homeâ in accessible quiet neighbourhood
This is a spacious property located very near the airport with great road access to all local areas, ideal for getting to the beach, great restaurants, supermarkets etc. The house is situated on a hill slope which is breezy and benefits from cooling winds blowing through. The kitchen is well appointed and has good laundry facilities. Our hostess Sharon was amazing and very responsive to all our queries in real time. The bedrooms all have ceiling fans and there are two generous bathrooms, with good showers
Thankyou Shenagh for your honest review and it was a pleasure hosting you all, fantastic and pleasant communication and loved our chats
I really hope you will all stay again
I appreciate you all
This was a nice little place that suited our needs just fine for the three days ahead of our boat charter. We did a few days of diving out of True Blue and enjoyed a nice morning walk to that locations everyday. It's also convenient to a lot of other south end fun.
The place was clean and in great shape; I head many compliments about the updated showers and bathrooms. Everything worked fine!
The owner was incredibly helpful, available and responsive to our inquiries.
My only recommendation would be to add AC to the bedrooms or provide more fans.
All-in-all, a great place to call home base while you check out Grenada.
Thankyou for your review Andrew I am actually looking into some ceiling fans.
Meanwhile I am happy to hear my place suited your needs and hope at some point you will stay again
Kindest Regards
Sharon
Sharon is an amazing host! She is quick to respond and a pleasure to rent from. Her place was very clean and as described. It had everything you might need for your stay. All dishware, bedding, towels. We did laundry and that worked out great. Thereâs the #1 minibus that stops right outside the front gate of the house and on the way back will drop you off there too. Tell the driver you need to go to the Bronx (by the basketball court) - thatâs the local name for the area. Supermarkets are near by and the #1 bus goes there (cuyoghe park stop). From there itâs just a short walk to the IGA supermarket near KFC and the beach. #1 bus also goes to the bus terminal so you can catch other buses around the island. The place has plenty of fans so while it does get hot we stayed for 8 nights and didnât have any issues. Iâd recommend Sharonâs place and we will be back!
Greetings,
Iâm writing from New York and recently stayed at the property. I didn't realize there was no air conditioningâI should have paid closer attention to the ad. Unfortunately, the fans provided didn't help much, especially for my kids, who ended up sleeping on the floor because of the heat. Each room had a ceiling fan, but they seemed to blow hot air. The standing fans that were placed in the rooms also didnât make a significant difference. As a result, my children were quite restless.
While the overall property was okay, there were a few other issues. The water pressure was very low, and although the ad mentioned a tub, there wasnât one. On a positive note, the owner was very responsive to messages, which was appreciated.
There were also a lot of mosquitoes, which I expected, but the screens and sprays provided didnât seem to help. We kept the doors closed, yet still, everyone got bitten the first night. The mosquito curtain on the door had several tears, and one of the dining room windows didnât have a screen at all.
The house also had a minimal number of outlets, which was inconvenient for a group of 8. The living room had none, the dining room had two (but the TV used one), and the kitchen had two (one taken by the microwave or toaster).
Would I stay here again? Yes, but only if thereâs air conditioning, improved water pressure, and more outlets to accommodate a larger group.
Iâve been to this country many times over the past two years, more than 10 times in
