One Lower Spire Cottage is in a rural spot in the southern part of Exmoor, making this an excellent choice for families or small groups wanting to explore Tarr Steps (less 1 mile away) and Winsford Common.

One Lower Spire Cottage is a semi-detached property, next door is Two Lower Spire Cottage which is also available for rental as holiday accommodation (sleeps 6), together the cottages can accommodate up to 11 guests in six bedrooms.

With stunning views across the Liscombe Valley and up onto Winsford Moor. Lower Spire offers an opportunity to escape the pressure of modern life and truly unwind in a picturesque and peaceful retreat. These Exmoor holiday cottages are family friendly as well as dog friendly and are a truly memorable getaway.

Step out of the cottages and into nature. A short walk takes you to the River Barle and the Neolithic monument of Tarr Steps, where you can dine at the award winning Tarr Farm. From there, venture on to Winsford Moor to see the native Exmoor ponies and elusive Red Deer.


Indoor Description
On the ground floor:
Boot / utility room, fitted with sink, coat hooks, washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge-freezer.
Kitchen fully equipped with top quality appliances including; ceramic hob and electric oven, dishwasher, second fridge, microwave and ironing facilities as well a table and chairs to seat 6.
Lounge with wood-burner (complimentary basket of logs and kindling included to get you started), 40 inch Smart TV and extensive views to the moor.
Single bedroom.
Bathroom comprising a walk in electric shower, toilet and hand basin.

On the first floor:
Bedroom with king-sized double bed and panoramic views of the moor.
Twin bedroom.
Family bathroom with bath, separate walk-in rainfall shower, toilet, hand basin and hairdryer.

Full central heating throughout which can be adjusted to suit your preferences and the seasons.
Bed linen and towels are included.
Free wifi is included.
Kitchen essentials are provided including washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, washing machine tablets, bin bags, cling film, foil, toilet rolls, hand wash.
A travel cot and highchair are available on request (no extra charge).

Well behaved dogs are welcome (up to a maximum of 2 dogs) for a supplement of £20 per dog. Please keep dogs on the ground floor in the kitchen and boot/utility room.

Strictly no smoking or vaping.



Outdoor Description
One Lower Spire Cotage has a secluded lawned garden area directly beside the property, with far reaching views over the rolling countryside.
The garden is teeming with wildlife, so please keep dogs on leads when outside the cottage.

Pets Description
Well behaved dogs are welcome (up to a maximum of 2 dogs) for a supplement of £20 per dog. Please keep dogs on the ground floor in the kitchen and boot/utility room.

Dulverton, a short stroll or two-minute drive away, is known as the 'southern gateway to Exmoor' and provides an excellent range of amenities. You will find independent shops, a late-opening supermarket, butcher, greengrocer, post office, chemist, and a cash machine. There are award-winning restaurants, traditional pubs, tea rooms, and a fish and chip shop. Exmoor House -- the headquarters of the Exmoor National Park Authority -- is in Dulverton and features exhibitions and a gallery.



The Guildhall Heritage and Arts Centre in Dulverton is well worth a visit, with free admission and fascinating exhibitions on local history including a working model of the original Dulverton railway station. The town sits between the rivers Barle and Exe, and the stunning Tarr Steps ancient clapper bridge is just five miles to the northwest -- one of the most popular and iconic landmarks in the whole of Exmoor.
