Filicudi is a wonderful island for hiking and diving. We liked the Filicudi Porto accommodation, but it is different than described, not a private holiday apartment or holiday home, but part of a semi-detached house. Professionally rented through an agency. The terrace shown is shared with the neighbors. There is only a canvas stretched between them. Privacy is different. We had nice neighbors and therefore a real shared apartment feeling. At over 120 euros a day, this accommodation is clearly too expensive. Here the fantastic view is silvered and the communal terrace is kept secret. That's not fair.
An incredible house on an incredible island. We had a lovely time staying at this beautiful house. It was well managed, had all of the cooking amenities we needed, and was a lovely place to unwind and relax. Our host made it easy to check in, going as far as having a taxi ready for us after the ferry dropped us off and offering to call us a taxi to return to the ferry. I can't recommend this house enough. A few things to note for fellow travelers. This house is quite far from any beaches so be prepared to either get a taxi or hike. The hike isn't far (about 20 minutes) but is very steep on the way back up. We love hiking so did not mind it, but I could see it being challenging if you are not used to walking a lot. It is also quite hot. Just things to keep in mind.
