Superb large private villa with pool

A large detached private 4 bedroom villa sleeping up to 8 close to Santa Maria. Situated at the end of a quiet Date Palm lined street and set on 830 SQM of mature enclosed gardens with extensive terraces, balconies and private pool. A large sitting room opens out on to the terraces around the pool with a range of sun beds, loungers and comfortable seating. The interior size is approx 220 SQM with outside teraces and balcones covering 195 SQM of the outside space.

The house is a 15 mins walk to Ponta Preta beach, 5 mins in a taxi to Santa Maria town and beach, or 7 mins in a taxi to Kite Beach.

The completely private villa gives families and friends extensive indoor and outdoor space to enjoy together at any time of the year. It’s the perfect relaxed sanctuary for your trip to Cabo Verde from where you can head to the beach, explore the island, take part in all the great local watersports available and enjoy the restaurants, bars and nightlife of Santa Maria.

The villa is set over two floors with the four bedrooms on the first floor, all overlooking the pool and sand dunes, a large mature garden, extensive sun terraces, a private pool and a large roof terrace with sea views of Ponta Preta and Kite Beach and the town of Santa Maria.

The house has free wifi available on the ground floor.

The villa sleeps eight people comfortably across four double bedrooms. All the bedrooms overlook the swimming pool and sand dunes. Two of the double rooms have ensuite bathrooms, dressing room areas, TVs and their own private first floor balconies. The two other doubles can be converted to double or twin rooms. The house offers four bathrooms and an outside shower.

The kitchen is well equipped with glassware, crockery, pots and cutlery for eight guests. There is a microwave, oven, hob, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher available. There is also a BBQ available and a range of small appliances such as a coffee maker, kettle, toaster, blender, etc.

The separate dining room, that leads out on to the terrace, offers indoor dining space or can be used as a work desk space if required.

Outside there are plenty of sun beds (x4), loungers (x4), chairs and sofas (x5)to relax on. There is a BBQ available and outside dining tables and chairs (x12).

The villa comes with free wifi on the ground floor. Theres is also a selection of board games, a large TV, IPTV, DVD player and a selection of DVDs, a Bluetooth compatible sound system, games consoles, table football, darts board that guests are welcome to use.

Please note that the cleaning fee charged by this booking site relates to the opening/ set up clean and the property clean after guests leave the property. It does not include any mid stay cleans. For stays of more than one week, bedding and towels are changed weekly. Mid stay cleaning can be arrangeed for an extra charge. Please reqest this service if you want it.

Please note children are welcome but the villa has open stairs, an open outdoor pool and all floor surfaces are tiled. There are hard edges so parents with children need to be aware and take responsibility to supervise their children at all times. There is a small travel cot available on request Please no running on the tiles inside or outside the house by the pool as they become slippery when wet.

The resort
Vila Verde is a large and quiet resort situated between the beaches of Ponta Preta, Kite Beach and just outside Santa Maria town and its large sandy beach. The resort offers a selection of apartment condominiums arranged around large shared pools, pool bars and landscaped gardens. The villas are arranged on quiet private streets on the outer edges of the resort. There are a selection of restaurants and bars available on the resort offering breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner options (including takeaway). Opening hours vary depending on time of year. The resort is popular with holiday makers, kite surfers and families working in the area. The team at reception can offer visitors various options for car and bike rental, island tours and other activities. Equally, there are various car hire and excursion operators situated in the town of Santa Maria.

The villa is located at the end of a quiet palm tree lined road on the left hand side perimeter of the resort and overlooks the protected sand dunes between the resort and the town of Santa Maria.

The resort has a staffed and helpful reception office, onsite security and CCTV, a bank with cash machine near reception, a well stocked supermarket offering all your food needs from daily fresh bread, fresh fruit and vegetables, frozen meat, through to a good range of drinks and treats for everybody. There are also two tennis courts available for hire via reception. The inner perimeter road offers a 2km run route for the energetic. Taxis are readily available by reception and there is a daily bus service to Ponta Preta beach (two good bar restaurants there) and Santa Maria (bus passes required).

Santa Maria town
Santa Maria town, in addition to a beautiful long golden sand beach, offers a broad range of supermarkets, shops, restaurants, takeaways and bars to cater for all your requirements and fresh fish, including amazing tuna, is available most mornings from the town pier. Santa Maria is five minutes in a taxi (€4 day time/ €5 evenings) or a 25 minute walk from the house. There is a pharmacy, hospital, private healthcare clinics, churches and banks available in Santa Maria too.
