À propos de cet hébergement

L'appartement Gallery est un endroit charmant pour un couple, un ou deux voyageurs ou pour 3 personnes, qui souhaitent rester 2 nuits ou plus. Spacieux, lumineux et aéré, l'appartement est au-dessus de notre maison et de mon studio / galerie. L'appartement est séparé et comprend sa propre entrée pour assurer votre intimité et votre confort. Il vient d'être récemment rénové pour assurer votre confort.

L'appartement est accessible par un escalier extérieur. Le salon est spacieux et offre de nombreux sièges, ainsi que des espaces de travail. Les fenêtres donnent sur notre cour boisée. Vous pouvez également espionner les oiseaux dans la mangeoire ci-dessous. Un accès Internet et une télévision par satellite sont fournis. Si vous êtes un lecteur, il existe de nombreux livres à emprunter! Un coffre sur la porte permet les arrivées tardives. Un petit réfrigérateur, un grille-pain, une cafetière Keurig et un four micro-ondes sont inclus pour les clients. Il y a une baignoire / douche dans la salle de bain privée.

Le mot de passe Wifi sera fourni lors de l'enregistrement. L'ensemble de l'appartement, des coins salons dans la cour et à l'extérieur de mon studio sont à la disposition des hôtes. Ma galerie de studios est ouverte l'après-midi et les invités sont invités à visiter et à me regarder peindre. Je suis aquarelliste et j'aime peindre nos beaux paysages côtiers et nos villages. Des exemples de mes impressions peuvent être vus dans l'appartement.

L'appartement est situé dans un emplacement central dans la ville de Damariscotta. En 15 minutes, vous trouverez la magnifique péninsule côtière de Pemaquid avec le célèbre phare de Pemaquid, la plage de Pemaquid et le village de pêcheurs de New Harbour. À 30 minutes de notre ville de Damariscotta vous amènera à la région de Boothbay Harbor, y compris les délicieux jardins botaniques du littoral du Maine. Brunswick, Rockland et Camden sont à seulement 40 minutes de nous, il y a donc de nombreuses possibilités d'aventures de jour ou d'après-midi.

Mon mari, Mike, et j'aime partager les joies de Midcoast Maine avec nos invités! Nous sommes heureux de vous proposer des suggestions (sur demande!) pour les activités locales, les restaurants et les excursions d'une journée. Si les clients souhaitent discuter avec moi personnellement, je peux travailler dans ma galerie de studio ou dans les jardins la plupart des après-midi. Si une assistance est nécessaire à tout moment, nous pouvons être contactés par téléphone. Cependant, pour les clients qui apprécient l'intimité et le calme, le Gallery Apartment est parfait - vous pouvez aller et venir comme si vous étiez dans votre propre maison. Vous n'avez pas besoin de nous rencontrer sauf si vous le souhaitez!

La plupart des jours et des nuits, l'air frais du Maine gardera l'appartement confortable sans l'utilisation du climatiseur, mais les visiteurs devraient se sentir libres d'utiliser celui fourni si nécessaire.
La télévision a une connexion satellite DISH. La télécommande doit être réglée sur le canal 60 pour accéder aux canaux DISH. Une fois sur le canal 60, faites une flèche vers le haut ou vers le bas pour atteindre d'autres canaux. Les directions pour la télévision et l'air conditionné sont situées près d'eux.

Wonderful escape to Damariscotta

We loved staying in this beautiful studio apartment, just a short distance from the town, as well as from all that the Pemaquid Peninsula has to offer. Beautifully clean, comfortable and charmingly decorated--it was perfect for our getaway. Kathleen and Mike were so kind and welcoming. We look forward to returning in the future.

Perfect mid-coast Maine location

A great find just outside of Damariscotta. The accommodations were absolutely comfortable - a charming little space on the second floor of a New England Cape Cod home. Highly recommend a stay here to explore the beautiful Pemaquid peninsula. Great for up to three guests with a queen in the main bedroom and a twin tucked away in a corner of the main area.

Beautiful Place

Well kept, clean and beautifully decorated apartment and grounds. Well stocked for the traveller with everything imaginable. Very safe and convenient location. Host went above and beyond supplying items that could not have been brought on a plane. Highly recommend.

Cozy & peaceful — Fantastic location!

I adored my vacation in Damariscotta at The Gallery Apartment. Kathleen has prepared the space with everything a person could need. The mini kitchenette was just big enough to have everything I needed without all that extra space. There's a delightful breakfast nook and a wonderful tall table where I was able to get lots of work done, gazing out the window to a beautiful wooded backyard. It was quiet and peaceful—everything I wanted. I hope I'll get to stay again! Thanks Kathleen, for the perfect getaway!

Beautiful but small bed

This apartment was tastefully and well equipped with all things needed ...almost too much so. All was comfortable except for the bed. It is a full size and way to small for comfort for my husband and me. Kathleen and Mike were super nice folks and very helpful. We would stay here again if equipped with a queen/king.

A cozy place to stay in Damariscotta

The space is cozy and well-appointed, with a bed in the living area, in addition to the bed in the bedroom. There is a refrigerator, toaster oven, toaster and microwave. The bathroom has a tub and shower. It was a very comfortable place to stay and could accommodate three people. I especially liked the on demand lighting that was motion activated and lighted the path and stairs after dark. The only negative that may affect some is that the access to the apartment is up a steep set of stairs.

Perfect for us

This was beautiful! Kathleen and Mike are wonderful hosts. Just as she described, they are available if needed. The accommodations are lovely. Many unexpected surprises. The layout was perfect for my sister and me. We each had work to do and we could both be on calls without bothering the other. We were exploring new areas and revisiting old favorites. Friends and family in Southern Maine and Central Maine...made this a great compromise.

So wonderful and welcoming

The apartment exceeded our expectations. The layout is perfect, with plenty of places to sit and a great kitchen area. It has plenty of windows to let in was stocked with coffee and everything needed for our stay. The bedroom was roomy and there was plenty of storage for clothes. The apartment was extremely clean and it was so wonderful we didn't want to leave.

Cozy stay with superb hiking

Comfortable, cozy, clean and tastefully decorated in a beautiful Mid Maine Coast area with beautiful hikes at nearby Land Trusts. Kathleen and Mike are welcoming hosts with excellent suggestions for restaurants and what to visit.

As always, a delight!

We have stayed here before and as with the other times we have stayed, the apartment is lovely. The apartment is very comfortable for a couple and it's easy to make coffee and toast in the morning for breakfast. It is nice to stay close to Damariscotta and have the ambiance of this small town available. We took a a walk on a trail that goes down to the water and ate at the Damariscotta Grill. A wonderful weekend away.

A Wonderful Stay!

Delightful Loft near Damariscotta

This lovely little loft is in a perfect location close to the beautiful town of Damariscotta but in a more rural quiet setting. Loved the decor and views all round. A wonderful spot from which to explore this part of New England. You need a whole day to look around the town and visit first rate bookshops and studios.

Exceptional Apartment !

We had a lovely stay at the apartment. Our hosts were very helpful and thought of everything. The area resource book left for guests was very helpful and Kathleen also gave us more ideas for activities with our grandchildren ( they live in the area). The bed and furniture were very comfortable . It was easy to have breakfast and lunch there and we went out to dinner at night ( the local restaurants are great)! It is decorated in a very tasteful way and feels very private. Overall a great experience.

Perfect spot to end our very busy days in Damariscotta!

Kathleen’s rental is a charming place that met all our needs for our time in Damariscotta. It was warm and welcoming — set off a street that made it an ideal location without any street (car) noise. Apt was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable! Grounds/garden are very pretty, too. Kathleen is lovely and we enjoyed seeing her beautiful artwork. Looking forward to staying there again!

I am a retired high school teacher and my husband is a retired Medical School Biochemistry Professor. We have lived in Maine about 8 years full time. I am now a watercolor artist and he continues to do research at the UMaine Marine Lab near here.
My gallery is located below the house and is open for our guests to visit. We love sharing our knowledge about Maine with our guests.

This location was selected for the close proximity to town and for the ability to transform it into a gallery for my watercolor studio, an apartment and a winter home.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The apartment is very close to downtown Damariscotta and is convenient to spend several nights when traveling between Portland and Bar Harbor. It is cleaned to the highest standards to ensure the safety of our guests. It is unique because it has an air conditioner to cool off with when the weather warms up and a queen size bed for extra comfort. Both are very unusual in our area. The apartment has a twin bed in the living area to accommodate 2 people who wish to sleep in separate beds or a third person. TV with cable and dependable internet service are included. The kitchenette provides a microwave, mini frig, toaster, toaster oven, tea kettle and a Keurig coffee maker. Coffee and tea ingredients are provided.
A separate entry provides complete privacy and there is plenty of parking space. Outdoor seating areas in the side yard and in front of the Gallery can be used by guests.
