400 sqft Studio with integrated kitchen and separate bathroom, large double bed and extra sofabed, seaview, private gazebo and private sunbathing terrace directly on shore. Steps to the sea. Opposit the famous island fortress of Spinalonga. Free Wifi


50 ft. from the waterline a small flock of three separated cottages on a beautiful and safe plot of land. (Fenced) Few steps to the sea. Nicely renovated 1 studio cottages with vaulted high ceiling, ca. 400 sq.ft. (about 37 square meters), large comfortable double bed (King size), separate sofa/bed, view to the sea, inside and outside eating area, built in kitchen, separate windowed bathroom with marble tiling, Shower, sink, toilet. Free 24/7 wifi and satelite TV (Astra). Studio room has full A/C. Private outside Gazebos with table and chairs, with unobstructed view to the sea. Private sunbathing terrace with your own sunbeds, BBQ directly on the beach. It would be hard to be closer to the sea or in a more relaxing spot with the soft sound of the waves around you. And it would be hard to find such a safe location far away from the big cities but still in short walking distance (ca. 650 ft, ca. 200m) of a friendly little fishing village with many original tavernas and cafes. A bus stop close.
A unique location directly on a beach with few steps down to the sea.

You will have your private environmental friendly (complete photovoltaik autonomy) studio with seaview, a private outside area that is separated from the 2 other cottages with tall natural stone walls. Your outside area has an esting place, shade by a pergola as well as a private sunbathing platform with seaview. A private brick barbecue is around the corner.

You have an english and greek speaking host that lives a few miles away. she can organise for you e.g a rental car and is there for you regularly.

The cottages are located ca 100 meters from Plaka village, just a short walk along or behind Plaka Beach. Plaka has many taverns and cafés as well as a beach bar. On very rare occasions (2-3 times during the whole summer season) there is life music in one of the restaurants or beach bar that can be heard over the bay also in the cottages. It usually stops at 23.00

Un endroit de rêve

Nous avons adoré notre séjour. On peut difficilement demander mieux comme localisation: directement sur la plage, à 3 minutes du village de Plaka. Christine et Laiela ont été très accessibles lorsque leur aide a été sollicité. Je recommande fortement le bungalow Olous ou le Kolokitha

Wir sind immer wieder gerne hier

Alle drei Häuser haben ihren eigenen Charme. Die Lage ist unglaublich die Organisation zum Check in super einfach. Wenn man etwas braucht, ist immer jemand zu erreichen. Die Matratzen sind nicht ganz so super oder vielleicht einfach schon älter, deshalb bleiben wir nur ein paar Tage genießen diese dann aber sehr. es sind immer bereits ein paar Annehmlichkeiten in der Küche vorhanden und die Terrassen laden zum verweilen ein. Am schönsten ist es morgens direkt ins Meer springen zu können. Vielen Dank und liebe Grüße

Outstanding accommodation

I would highly recommend these cottages, they are beautifully decorated and in a superb location if you want a relaxing break with the sea at your feet. Our host Christine was extremely friendly and knowledgeable but was also respectful of our privacy- we have already booked for next year as this property is very very special.

Der perfekte Ort zum Entspannen

Das war mein zweiter Aufenthalt hier und ich war, wie beim ersten mal, begeistert. Die Lage direkt am Meer mit Blick auf die Insel Spinalonga ist fantastisch. Das Objekt ist außerordentlich gepflegt und in perfektem Zustand. Die Ausstattung ist überdurchschnittlich gut, es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Besonders nett fanden wir, dass bei unsere Ankunft alle nötigen Zutaten für ein kleines Essen, Kekse und Chips, zwei Flaschen Wasser und zwei kühle Biere bereit standen. Christina kümmert sich hervorragend um die Belange vor Ort, ist dabei sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und gleichzeitig unaufdringlich. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen!

Bei Aussicht und Lage wurden die Bilder hier sogar noch übertroffen. Ein super schöner Ort um seinen Urlaub zu verbringen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und haben den Bungalow sogar mit einer Grundausstattung an Lebensmittel für den ersten Tag ausgestattet. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

Wonderful location, great host, the house was clean and the kitchen had all the equipment needed. When we came they put groceries so we will not be stressed to go to the market. What a lovely thought. Every time we needed towels we got immediately. We had the best vacation ever.

Lage, Terrassen, Sauberkeit, Ausstattung: alles perfekt. Der kleine Bungalow ist einfach eingerichtet, super sauber und es ist alles da war man braucht (und mehr). Die Terrasse, der direkte Zugang zum glasklaren Meer (Badeschuhe erforderlich), die Nähe zu Plaka mit einer überraschend großen Auswahl an wirklich guten Tavernen haben unsere hohen Erwartungen noch übertroffen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Fantastic holiday in Olous cottage

We stayed in Olous cottage from 2-12 June - we had a fantastic holiday and would thoroughly recommend these cottages and Plaka to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in a great location with fantastic views. The cottage is not big but is spacious enough, is fitted to a high standard and has everything you need. However it is the outside space, proximity to the water and spectacular views that really make this property stand out from others. We hardly spent any time inside the cottage - other than to sleep - and the outside area is very spacious with a sunbathing area with loungers, a dining area with table and chairs in the shade and another area with a couple of reclining chairs. The views across to Spinalonga are spectacular and it was great to sit or eat and look out just watching the world go by. Access to the pebbled beach and sea is easy and convenient through a set of stairs and it was great to take a dip in the sea to cool down when it got too hot. The starter pack that was left for us was great and included bread, pasta, butter, water, coffee, tea, cheese, cucumber, pasta sauce, biscuits - topped off with a couple of beers which were really appreciated. The cottage is just a short walk into Plaka village. We really enjoyed staying in Plaka which is small and quiet with some great restaurants. It was quiet when we were there in June and no need to book any restaurants in advance - just decide on the night. Plaka is not a lively night time location - no clubs, sports bars etc - but perfect for a relaxing time with quality restaurants. There are a couple of supermarkets in the village which will provide for all the essentials you need. We only hired a car for four of the days we were there to see more of eastern Crete. We used the transfer service that can be arranged through the property as we were arriving at the airport quite late at night and leaving early morning from the port - this was easy to arrange and worked really well. It’s possible to walk into Elounda - takes about an hour along an established path - and there is a bus service that runs every two hours to Elounda and Aghios Nikolaos. As mentioned previously - we had a great holiday and would recommend the property and Plaka.

Had a fantastic time one of the best chilled out holidays we've had. Would definitely go back. If you get a chance eat at the carob tree restaurant hosted by steph and Greg great hosts. Good value

After a week of perfect relaxation In a peaceful setting we can highly recommend any of the villas for their position, cleanliness and overall experience 1 small problem when arriving at midnight - could not find key - Ron's mobile number which was given has a contact no longer exists and only by luck did we guess the code to the keysafe to obtain the key to the property - make sure you get this - After which our holiday was perfect We shall return

wonderful position and nice cottages with good facilities

Very nice cottage in wonderful position very close to the sea, with beautiful furnished private terraces. The part of the Island is beautiful and elegant, also if the most beautiful beaches are a little far. But the plage of the site and the water are so good, and there are 2 nice villages nearby.

Breathtaking location

My wife and I stayed here for a week, and we just loved it! Although we don't really sit on beaches and/or sunbathe, the cottages are so close to the sea it was so easy to pop in for a swim, lie on your private sunbed to dry off, then get showered and head off to explore! The view over the beach to Spinalonga is wonderful, but the best thing is opening the windows and hearing the waves breaking just outside. The cottage is not huge, but it's ideal for a couple. Each cottage is very private from the other two, and it's well equipped. Lovely welcome pack on arrival so no need to go out shopping on day one. We had a small accident and broke something in the cottage; Christine and Jimmy had it fixed in no time at all and didn't make us feel bad for the damage! The village of Plaka is lovely, with a number of rather splendid tavernas offering exceptional value for money. There is one large up-market hotel on the edge of the village which probably keeps the various shops in business....the tourist shops are quite classy. Elounda is just 10 minutes away by car from Plaka, and it too is beautiful, with a lovely harbour and yet more tavernas. We hope to be back!
