They do need to fix access to the cabin during winter months. They also need to fix the plugin problem, can only use one at a time. Other then that it wad wonderful and had a great time!!
My son turned 16, and wanted a cabin with a hot tub. We wanted somewhere close to Willamette Pass Resort because we got him and his friends lift tickets for Saturday and Sunday. While dad and the big kids were on the mountain, Myself and my tow little ones enjoyed haning at the cabin. We made food, made clay beads and crafts, played in the snow, and relaxed in the hot tub. My little ones enjoyed all the books and stuffed animals. It was lively. Much snowier this year here, than our stay in Crescent Lake years past. We enjoyed the cabins, and would love to come stay again.
We had a great time, a perfect location on the river. Clean linens and dishes. We are locals and will use this location again. The hot tub was a family favorite.
Very cute. Liked the separate house. Wood stove was the main heat which made the bedroom upstairs really warm. Har to open windows and blow cold air in. Overall very nice.
The creek access was priceless, and we were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable daytime temps (pretty cold some nights and mornings!) and lack of bugs. The hot tub, grill, and easy indoor/ outdoor lifestyle was all really lovely.
There are certainly quirks about the place one should know â the shower has quite limited height, no dishwasher, small kitchen, quite limited lighting for reading in either bedrooms or common room, and bedding/ towels and furniture are pretty worn â but we still found it quite charming and appreciated the unfussy atmosphere given the dusty grounds (dirt not lawn). It was well stocked with essentials like laundry and dish soap, toilet paper and spices, which was great since proper stores are 30 min away.
Overall we found it a bit more remote than anticipated, but were enchanted by the creek.
We enjoyed our time at this little cabin despite a few hiccups.
Pros: Lovely outdoor space with lots of places to relax with a good book and cold drink. Indoors was sweetly decorated with lots of forest friends. Beds were very comfortable. Place cooled down well at night and stayed relatively cool during the day despite outdoor August heat. Kitchen was well equipped. Nice dryer and washer. Location to lakes was fantastic!
Challenges: The door to the little cabin was broken and alarmingly would not open on a number of occasions, trapping my teens inside while we worked to jiggle the door open. My hubby had to tape the bolt in to make it stop. Itâs a fire hazard and needs immediate attention. Most of the smoke alarms lacked working batteries. We replaced the batteries ourselves. One of the hammocks was broken. Other quirks were minor. Place could use a deep cleaning.
I wanted to give this property a higher rating but wish I would have known these things before booking. I have stayed in multiple properties and unfortunately this was not a winner for us.
PROS: Great location and amenities! Access to a shallow, lazy river perfect for wading or floating. Horseshoes! Tetherball! A fire pit! A hot tub! Very quiet and set in a lovely area.
CONS: This property is on a private road that is VERY rough (damaged our car splash shield). Zero cell phone service unless we stood motionless in one area of the detached bedroom cabin. Emergency number list not helpful when we arrived to a cabin without power, and person we finally reached was crunchy. Very poor WIFI so I could not work as planned. Glass fragments outside in dirt so shoes on at all times. Plywood ceiling above shower very low for tall people. Toilet had seeping leak so rug stayed wet.
We still had fun but this property would need an overhaul before we would return.
Can't say enough good things about this cabin. It was perfect for us and our pups. There are neighbors, but not terribly close and it was still very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub is fantastic and huge. The river is just right in the back yard (although a little trick to get to if you have any mobility issues). I will say this is probably not the place for you if you're overly precious about a little dirt or a dead bug or two. It IS a cabin in the woods after all. But still kept very clean. Bed was very firm but comfy. The pans that were provided had seen much better days and we ended up buying our own skillet to use. However it was a 5 out of 5 stay for us! Internet signal was more than enough for us but we did have virtually no cell signal. DOWNLOAD OFFLINE MAPS BEFORE YOU GO!
My family and I had a really good time at this property. Hot tub was great as well as river front property and access to the river. We would definitely book this property again! Would love to see it in the winter months!
Over all it was a great experience. Cleanliness was not what i expected in the kitchen. I pull dishes out that were wet and cooking pans that still had food on them. I can do rustic and enjoyed the location and creek running outside the window. I pay for cleaning service i hope the next group has a better kitchen experience. Plus cob webs hanging. Just disappointed that i pay for cleaning service and i had to clean most of the kitchen items before i used them.
Fantastic property with so many amenities. You just can't beat your morning coffee listening to the creek and watching the chipmunks racing around. We moored our boat at O'Dell lake just 5 minutes away for a small fee and the lodge had a restaurant for the night we didn't feel like cooking. If you need a relaxing getaway, this property is highly recommended!
We had a marvelous time at the house. The beds are really good, and we really enjoyed the outdoor spaces including large decks and a hot tub. The kitchen is small and it was a bit challenging to cook for 7 people, but the setting on the creek is really special. One bedroom is in its own cabin and was nicely decorated and very comfortable. Thanks again for having us.
Sitting in the hot tub surrounded by snow and looking up at the stars, while the creek curved around the bend just down the hill - it was amazing! Wifi worked really well , kitchen had everything we needed, house was cozy and comfortable. Thanks for a great stay!
We have stayed at many vacation rentals throughout the the west coast I have to say this one is a diamond in rough. Not only is the house well equipped , horse shoe pit, tetherball, fire pit with lots of room , kayakâs,well sized hot tub. The creek that runs behind the house is very beautiful and the water is crystal clear. We loved the deck over looking the creek with great access. We have stayed in at least a dozen other properties over the past 20 years in that area. This is definitely one of our favoriteâs. Want to mention it has its own separate room separate from the house that made it great for our son and their infant . The owners have been very easy to deal with and very helpful and we appreciate the stay there looking forward to many more fun times at this vacation home.
Great location to connect with our kids and friends. We took a short drive to Crater Lake one day. The rest we made huge meals, explored the creek, played in the yard, and relaxed in the hot tub. Plenty of supplies on hand for cooking and cleaning. Enough space between homes to enjoy nature. Someone said there are limited supplies at the store on the main road - very limited - so just be sure to bring all food and drinks you need. Went on a great short waterfall hike north of the cabin. Great stay!
The main cabin provided a beautiful setting for a BFF birthday celebration. The two of us and our four-legged companions were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
Great central location to explore Waldo, Davis, Odell and Crescent Lakes. Cabin was very comfortable, but we spent most of our time on the deck, in the hot tub or in the creek. Would recommend this property, thanks for the wonderful weekend.
This was a great property close by lots of outdoor recreation. We visited to be able to go snowmobiling which is available right outside the front door. The house was set up with some fun games and the hot tub was great for coming back to warm up and relax. Overall it matched the description listed on the website. Only complaint is it seems slightly over priced compared to similar houses in the area but based on the availability in the area I would recommend and would go again.
These Cabin/s sit on a clear mountain stream called Crescent Creek. Year round activities in one of Oregon best vacation spots. Year round access, with snow plowing in winter
