Lake Road Cottage est l'escapade parfaite pour débrancher, mais encore se connecter à la détente, la nature, les couchers de soleil, le kayak, la pêche, la randonnée et le vélo. À quelques kilomètres du parc d'État de Perot, de la réserve naturelle nationale de Trempealeau, du Great River State Trail et du vignoble Elmaro. LRC se trouve à 1 / 8ème de mile de Long Lake Boat Landing et offre un accès facile pour le kayak qui est juste en face du chalet. Vous pouvez faire du vélo jusqu'à Hungry Point pour admirer la vue sur la rivière Mississippi pendant que vous appréciez le froid. Dans la soirée, profitez du dîner sur le pont extérieur et passez par le foyer pour terminer une journée parfaite.

Le Cottage offre une vue sur le lac depuis le salon afin que vous puissiez profiter de votre café du matin (ce qui est inclus) et de votre journée à regarder le soleil briller sur le lac, et peut-être que vous verrez un Eagle ou un héron prendre leur petit-déjeuner.

Le Cottage est confortablement décoré, de sorte que vous vous sentirez immédiatement chez vous. Serviettes luxurantes, draps souples, matelas confortable avec oreillers moelleux, cuisine complète; Tout ce que nous pourrions penser pour rendre votre séjour relaxant et facile.

Le Cottage comprend deux KAYAKS simples, deux BICYCLETTES, un FIRE-PIT et un GRILL DE gaz. La laveuse et la sécheuse sont également disponibles pour votre commodité.

Weekend getaway

Perfect for the two of us. Able to relax at cabin or choice of other activities they provide. Everything we needed was there. So peaceful and quiet. I enjoyed feeding and watching the birds too!!

Along the Flyway

Wonderful property! Great location for exploring on bikes, kayaks or foot. Cabin is fabulously stocked with books, toys, dvds, great spices and even yoga mats. Owners are quick with communication and offer lots of great advice about the area. Looking forward to returning soon!

Relaxation and Serenity

The Lake Road Cottage was a fabulous selection for our romantic get-a-way. We had a blast kayaking on the backwaters of the Mississippi and even limited out on pan fish within 4 hours. The cabin was fabulously stocked with everything you could possibly need to relax and enjoy serenity.

Loved our stay at Lake Road Cabin!

The cabin was perfect: super clean and so cute!! We enjoyed watching the birds and boats on the water. Took the kayaks out twice, but never got around to using the bikes. Trempealeau was a great town. Everyone was so nice. Would love to come back.

Lovely

Very comfy. Communication with owner was excellent. We stayed to participate in shooting event in Holmen so our days were full. It was great to come back, totally relax and watch the sunset.

Quiet, relaxing, has all the amenities of home

Beautiful setting. The cabin is pristine inside. Clean and comfortable, everything is like new. There is plenty to do nearby, especially if you like to be active. We did not get to meet the owners, but are forever grateful for their flexibility during a difficult time for us. Thank you Beth and Mark!

Bird watching dream

Clean cabin. Perfect for two. On second level so must be willing to do stairs. Bird feeders and Long Lake view from living room. Close to Lacrosse and hiking and biking trails.

Perfect in every way

We loved the location -- near, but not in Trempealeau. We were also close to the bluffs in LaCrosse for hiking, the Trempealeau wildlife refuge, many bird watching locations, etc. The cottage was spotless and well equipped with everything we needed., and Beth was a gracious and responsive host. We'll be back! Thank you!

Everything we needed!

We were very pleased with our stay at LRC. It was easy to unwind and relax when everything we needed was right there. Everything you need to cook an awesome meal is there or little extra bathroom needs you may have forgotten. We enjoyed the books, movies and games. We rode the bikes into town for ice cream and had a tasty dinner at the hotel. We highly recommend LRC to slow down and re-connect with your loved ones, just what we needed.

Great 3 day get away

Nice property, exactly as described. A short walk to the water to put the kayaks in. Nice easy paddle around the 4.5 mile loop around the the lake next to the river. A short drive to the state park for a few nice hikes. Wisconsin bike trail close by. Kitchen had just about everything one could want. Good selection of basic seasonings. Decent knives, pots and pans. Beth was in touch every step of the way and was a great communicator.

Perfect cottage right on the lake.

What a perfect location. Short bike ride to town. Bikes were in excellent condition. Lake across the road from cottage was perfect to kayak. Was great to have kayaks provided. Anything you would ever need was provided at the cottage. Grill, fire pit, life jackets, fishing poles, coolers, etc. It was all there. Website for cabin was very helpful for local restaurants and things to do. Cabin was immaculate. Very comfortable, well maintained and very clean. Could not be better. Loved it

Relaxing getaway

Me and my wife spent 3 days in Trempealeau WI and was perfect retreat. WI was our last state to end our bucket list of visiting all 50. The 1 BR cottage on the river had everything needed for a comfortable relaxing stay. We enjoyed morning coffee watching all the birds in the front yard to start the day. We hiked in the parks, kayaked with owners kayaks, went local winery and ate great local food in town. Also owners are fantastic. Great communication all around. When our flight got changed and we had to give up a day they reimbursed us for that day. We did not expect a refund because that was not their fault but tells what kind of people own this VRBO. I will recommend this place to all coming to area.

Beyond all expectations!

LRC was an incredible experience and the hosts take "attention to detail" to a whole new level. Celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary with friends in a region where my paternal ancestors embarked on their journey to Aneta, North Dakota in the 1880's, we were embraced by the Trempealeau Village residents and made to feel as if we'd belonged there all along. Also, seeing the SPACEX satellite launch under the clear skies on Saturday evening was a spectacular thing to witness in the sky and something that certainly kept us chatting until we saw the news the next day. PERFECT!!

PERFECT !! Wonderful quiet location with a peaceful water view. Was hesitant about the road between cottage and the water, but it's a dead end road which made for a great bike ride. With the nice bikes and the kayaks available for use the waterways and the local eateries were another easy source of adventure. Next time we might need to bring the boat and do some fishing! Easy as the boat launch is close by as well! Speaking of close by... Perot State park was only 15 minutes away for our hiking pleasure ... Elmaro vineyard and tasting room with awesome wine and entertainment also a quick jaunt. The cottage itself is adorable , very clean, cute, comfortable and well appointed. I hesitate to say more as I don't want to compete with too many others for future reservations!

Wonderful Wisconsin Weekend

We spent the weekend during Winona State's parent weekend. The cottage had EVERYTHING we could need! It was very clean, neat and decorated adorably! There were so many thoughtful details throughout the cottage. Very comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for a couple easy meals. We had a bonfire one night with firewood provided. Beth had great recommendations for what to do and activities to try! My husband finished his book on Friday night and found a book in their stash that he started while we were there. He loved it SO much that he ordered it on his Kindle when we got home. Our daughter is a freshman, so hoping we can stay again over the next four years. Thanks to our wonderful hosts! One thing to keep in mind is that you may not have cellular service at the home or nearby. We used a GPS in the car to get us there, which was good since the maps on our phones didn't work. We had to drive to town, for cell service, to coordinate meeting our daughter on Saturday. It is crazy how dependent we have become to our cell phones ;)

Long Weekend Getaway

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in the fall to celebrate my retirement. The home was spotlessly clean, had more than usual amenities (use of bikes and kayaks available), was perfect size for 2, had a beautiful view with bird watching, all set in a very quaint small village. Would definitely recommend this home and area.

Cozy and just like advertised

Everything was just as describe. Cozy and clean. Bikes and kayaks were great. Watching birds out window was very relaxing. Several things to do and places to eat in the area. Communication with hosts was great and the rental was well equipped. We’ve stayed several rentals and there always seems to be something missing. This place had everything we needed.

This is a very nice cabin. Close to bars and resturants. The owners are very nice!!

Love the cabin and the location. Plenty to do and see in all the neighboring towns. The owners are awesome. It is very clean and well kept up. Would highly recommend!!

Nice weekend on the river.

We had a great time renting this place for the weekend. It is located right across the street from the water, so putting the kayaks in only required carrying them across the yard. The house is small, but that is all that is needed for 2 people. It was very clean and not lacking any necessities. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, and even more within a short drive. We had no issues with our stay.

Lake Road Cottage

September 2021 We opened the door to a sparkling clean, inviting living room. Sun shining through the spotlessly clean picture window was an important feature to enhance the spectacular bird watching. Every comfort of home—and then some—enhance a week of rest and relaxation. The environs offer a nature center, a wildlife refuge, a magical Stonehenge—type attraction, outstanding museums, antiquing, and nature galore. We’re elderly visitors and were pleased with the comforts in every room. Finally, Autumn is a fine season to visit. It’s quiet, not too hot, and the leaves are beginning to show their colors. I wish I could give ratings of more than 5 stars! The cottage is excellent. It is super clean and everything you need is right there from kitchen supplies to toiletries to cable, etc. It was just like being at home but with exceptional scenery!

My first trip to Trempealeau was in 2001 with my husband Mark. Mark grew up in the area and we were in town to visit family. I immediately fell in love with Trempealeau and the access to nature, the Wildlife Refuge, Great River State Trail, Perrot State Park, the Mississippi, and Lake Road. Lake Road is a special out of the way gem. I love the water, tree lined streets, the simplicity of how I felt when riding my bike down the street, it brought out the little kid in me. Trempealeau was definitely on the list of places to visit more often, maybe even a place to live. I had no idea how that was going to become a reality.
