Barley Hill Pod is gorgeously located in the serene Somerset countryside and is ideally suited for a romantic couples’ getaway. Gloriously positioned in its own private field, the site is surrounded by magnificent oak trees. Outside you will find a relaxing hot tub, a terraced wood deck to sit and enjoy the tranquil surrounds. A table and chairs together with a picnic bench provide places to sit and watch the passing wildlife, plus a place to enjoy a lovely meal outside. A barbecue is provided, so be sure to bring some charcoal and food to cook on the grill.

The site is a haven for a variety of wild birds, guests can expect to see anything from Nuthatches and Woodpeckers to elusive Kingfishers. The pod is incredibly private with no signs of civilisation in sight except for the occasional tractor trundling along the quiet country roads. The pod itself is deceptively spacious and equipped with everything you need for a lovely romantic getaway. With a super comfy corner sofa to lounge around on the evenings, the pod has a full range of cooking facilities so cooking a meal will be no problem. The super snug space is brilliantly insulated and benefits from underfloor heating plus additional electrical heaters if required. What’s more, a lovely en-suite bathroom with hot shower makes the pod a fully equipped mini home.

Barley Hill is only 30 minutes’ drive to Dorset’s’ spectacular Jurassic Coast to the south, while the beautiful Somerset Coast to the north is also easily accessible from the site. In addition, the magnificent Blackdown Hills are a little more than 10 minutes away with their distinguished sharp valleys and an array of native wildlife. A visit to this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a must.
