Pope Lodge is a gorgeous, spacious holiday apartment on the first floor in the well-loved coastal town of Alnmouth. A former old stone coach house has been renovated to the highest and most comfortable of standards. It offers a bright, airy, open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space with vaulted ceilings and a cosy, luxury king-sized bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Pope Lodge has a private garden and furniture and is the ideal setting for a romantic break.

Internal:
As you wander through the gardens and up a handful of stone steps to your private entrance porch, you'll be greeted by the doorway into this stunning private apartment. Pope Lodge has an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area full of skylights and windows that flood the room with plenty of light. Renovated and furnished to the highest of modern standards while keeping its rich character, including high vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, Pope Lodge has the wow factor. It is fully equipped with all utensils and crockery to make cooking here as easy as possible. A traditional style kitchen also features a Belfast sink with chrome accessories, ceramic hob, double oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer and a Nespresso Coffee machine. Although only for cosmetic purposes, the owners could hold onto the original black range fireplace, which was unique for the property, and all modern necessities, including a large smart TV with Freeview and Netflix, surround it. Pope Lodge also has WIFI throughout.
Please note that Netflix is an app on the smart TV and doesn't have a specific house account. Guests are welcome to use their own Netflix account and any other streaming services available with their login, but please make sure that you log out at the end of your stay.
A spacious, beautiful wooden dining table can seat up to four guests opposite a traditional sash window overlooking the gorgeous gardens. The window seat is a perfect sport to curl up with a book or to even sit with a drink and watch the world go by.
As you enter the Bedroom, you'll be greeted with a large, comfortable king-sized bed with luxurious linens and throws, ensuring a perfect night's sleep and plenty of storage room to hang up your clothes and accessories. Through to the En-Suite Bathroom, you'll find a large bathtub with an overhead shower surrounded by large stone tiles and underfloor heating.
Outside:
Outside of Pope Lodge is a well-maintained garden with an exclusive area to the apartment featuring outdoor furniture and BBQ. A perfect place to relax and unwind on a summerâs evening with a glass of wine or first thing in the morning with a cup of tea or coffee.
Parking:
Pope Lodge is one of four properties on the complex and has four car park spaces within the courtyard, one space per property.

Whilst Pope Lodge is a private apartment, it shares a plot with its sister cottages at Hallsteads. The properties share a courtyard and driveway; one space is allocated to each cottage. If you're struggling to book your preferred dates, look at the other cottages: Garden Stables, South Stable and Spence Lodge; you'll find them under the host's listed properties. Or if you're staying for a wedding or with a larger group, you may be interested in booking more than one property; it's the perfect way to go on holiday with a larger group whilst still having the privacy of your cottage.
Pet Rules:
Unfortunately, all the properties at Hallsteads are not pet friendly, this is due to the owners' allergies and is non-negotiable.
