Achaglachgach Stables is an impressive holiday cottage resting near Tarbert in Argyll and sleeps 10 guests in five bedrooms.
Amenities: Central heating and woodburning stove. Two electric ovens and grills, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher. Satellite TV, DVD player, digibox, WiFi, books and games. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Highchair and travel cot available by request. Off-road parking for 5 cars. Fenced gardens with lawns, gravelled area and picnic bench and seating. Pet-friendly, allowing up to two well-behaved dogs. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 6.4 miles, pub 6.4 miles. Town: Built around an inlet on Loch Fyne, Tarbert has long been both a harbour and a key strategic point in the history of Scotland's rugged West Coast. Tarbert once required three castles to protect it, and the ruins of one of these can still be visited today. Built around the natural harbour, fishing and sailing continue to play an important part in the life of the village. There are many annual events to interest all tastes including the sailing regatta on Loch Fyne, seafood and music festivals. The 87 mile Kintyre Way stretches from Tarbert to the south of the Kintyre Peninsula, and offers walking for all levels and with ferry connections to Islay and Arran, there is simply no better location to relax and explore this rugged and picturesque part of Scotland.
