Prepare to be amazed when you step inside this charming property. It is light, bright, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The perfect retreat for couples wanting to enjoy Deal and explore this wonderful stretch of the Kent coastline. This lovely lodge sits in the grounds of the owners’ house, and a charming little garden has been created for guests, shielded from the main house with bamboo screens.

Lovely lodge!

This is a beautiful lodge, clean and comfortable and only a 10-15 minute walk to the seafront. It had everything that we needed, the bed was really comfy and the towels were good quality as well. It would have been good to have instructions for the oven, I’m a bit of a technophobe and there were so many symbols, I couldn’t work out which one was just the fan, so had to google it! This lodge is in the owners garden (which is very nice) but it’s smaller than I expected , plus the bamboo screens which are mentioned in the description, were not there! Maybe this is just a summer thing, so didn’t really affect us but we did feel like we were intruding slightly, although the owners kept their blinds down. The only other thing that occurred to us was the lack of fire blanket and or extinguisher, which always seem to be present at self catering accommodation. Despite any negatives that I have mentioned, we would definitely consider using again and would recommend.

Mostly excellent

We had a very comfy stay at the Blue Lodge, which is well equipped, warm and comfortable. The location is slightly out of the centre which has advantages (quiet) and disadvantages (rather further to walk into town). The reason for marking it down on service was that there were no user instructions for any of the installed equipment.. On arrival the broadband was not working (thought it responded to being turned off and back on again, but the password and network name were not the same as in the rather brief welcome leaflet. That leaflet explained how to operate the TV but it did not explain how to operate the induction stove or the oven, nor was there any guidance about operating the showers. The water pressure was very low at the kitchen sink. These are all petty things which could have spoiled what would otherwise have been a 5-star stay. They are easily remedied by providing user instructions for all of the service goods that are installed

A great stay at the blue lodge

We had a four night stay at Blue Lodge. The property was immaculate, had everything we needed. The property is in the owners garden but that was no problem at all. It had the added bonus of private parking which in a seaside town like Deal is worth its weight in gold. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Excellent in most respects

The Blue Lodge exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. Spotlessly clean and immaculate, it really was a beautiful place to stay. The place had everything that we wanted. We met the owners and they were extremely pleasant and very helpful. It was in comfortable walking distance for amenities in Deal and easy driving distance to places in Kent that we wanted to visit. We have stayed in very many holiday cottages run by different companies and this was one of the very best. Our only slight reservation was the parking situation, this was in no way the fault of the owners. Although we were able to park on their driveway easily, the fact that other cars were parked on the roadway almost blocking their driveway made getting our car on and off the driveway difficult and almost dangerous. This though was in no way attributable to the owners and should not put anyone off wanting to stay at the Blue Lodge. Overall though I would recommend the Blue Lodge very highly.

The Blue Lodge - Deal

If you are going to Deal we can thoroughly recommend the Blue Lodge, we had a long weekend there in February, it was really clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, including our own parking space. The location was perfect, easy 10 minute walk into the town, we barely used our car while we were there. The owners were very nice and were there for anything if we needed them. We had a lovely warm, comfortable weekend and we would certainly go back and stay there again. The service from Keepers Cottages was very good too, giving us all the information that we needed for the booking, great service!

Second stay this year

We first stayed here in May this year & have just made a very welcome return visit. Peter & Chi are such friendly and welcoming hosts. The property is in a great location within easy walking distance of the town and the parking space is a great bonus in Deal. The property is perfect for our needs and our puppy loves it too. The garden is safe and secure for her and she's very happy here. Will definitely be returning again

The Blue Cottage experience

Arriving at 37 Park Avenue Deal it was difficult to imagine what the accomodation was going to be like. What could be in the back garden of a smart semi detached house that could constitute a holiday cottage. Stepping through a wrought iron gateway there it was. The Blue Cottage a delightful small dwelling set in a surprisingly large rose filled garden. Stepping inside the cottage was truely a “wow” moment. The interior was striking. Simple but beautifully designed with everything necessary for a self catered stay. The plants and colour coordinated ornamental accessories gave a wonderful “ at home” feeling. Everything was sparklingly clean. Fresh towels on a heated towel rail and a very comfortable bed made for a quite luxurious stay.

Just perfect.

Had 3 nights in the Blue Lodge Deal. The accommodation is spacious, immaculate and modern , tastefully decorated with several beautiful fresh houseplants and a manicured garden with lovely outdoor seating area. Smart TVs in lounge and bedroom and en-suite to bedroom and additional bathroom off lounge. We had some wonderful walks with our puppy and didn’t need to use the car the whole stay which stayed on the free allocated driveway space. Everything is within walking distance, beach, restaurants, pubs and town etc all within 10mins walk. Couldn’t fault the check in, checkout process and the welcoming hosts. Highly recommend it.

New Year break

We revisited the Blue Lodge for a week over the NewYear. Had a lovely welcome, surprised and delighted to find a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the lounge. The weather was very wet and windy but the lodge was warm and cosy, each radiator has its own thermostat, very effective. It’s a perfect base to explore Deal and the Kent coast and countryside. Great pubs within walking distance, The Hoy, Bohemian and Ship are friendly, old fashioned boozers. The Zetland at Kingsdown is very popular on the beach, the best independent pub is the Lantern at Martin, fabulous food and full of history. The lodge itself is very well equipped and has everything for a short or long stay. The host family are lovely, on hand if required but not at all intrusive. Thank you Chi and Peter for a lovely break, and Danni for the delicious mince pies!

Deal Gem

This is a lovely property well equipped and well maintained. The owners are charming and very helpful. The property is in easy walking distance of the beach and town and there are bus stops just down the road to take you further afield if you don’t want to drive. We thoroughly recommend it.

A Lovely Stay in Kent

The lodge was situated in the owners back garden which we had full use of, seeing them around only the once when we first arrived and knocked on the door to introduce ourselves. The lodge was very clean and easy to keep tidy, with a spacious kitchen, bedroom, lounge and bathroom with a large shower. For us the lodge was ideally located with the beach, town and railway station within 5 - 10 minutes walk. So easy to visit other towns by train and have a relaxing holiday without relying on the car, as we never resorted to using it once during the entire week. Deal is a lovely friendly town with many dog friendly shops, bars and pubs.

Beautiful lodge

Wow the lodge was beautiful and spotless on arrival! We had an amazing week at Blue Lodge, beautiful weather, 10 minute walk to Deal front and a large green up the road for our dog to have a run! Perfect in every way, couldn’t have asked for more. We would recommend Blue Lodge for a nice relaxing holiday and would love to return in the near future. A little oasis of peace

Had a relaxing stay at The Blue Lodge. The garden is beautifully kept with a small private area with a bench and seating. Lovely shrubs and plants enhance the atmosphere. The lodge itself is very well appointed, the bedroom has an en suite with a double shower. The kitchen has everything you could need to self cater, all in excellent condition. The lounge is spacious and very comfortable, velux roof windows in each room add a sense of airiness and light. There is even a separate toilet and shower off the lounge for extra convenience. The hosts were friendly and really helpful without being intrusive, the lodge is in the back garden of their house but it felt private. We had use of the whole garden which was great for the dog. There is a big park behind Tides sports centre 5 minutes away for safe dog exercise. It’s a short walk into Deal, the parking space in front of the house proved useful. All in all a lovely experience, thank you Chi and family.

Satisfied Holidaymaker

Located in the lovely back garden of a house. The lodge was very well equipped, modern and very comfortable. There were two adults on this holiday. Good location - 10 - 15 mins from beach and town and close to bus stop. Lots to see and do In the local area. Hosts were friendly but not intrusive. Supermarkets close by. Being able to park the car on the driveway was very convenient for us too. We had a lovely holiday in this very well equipped and comfortable lodge.

A beautiful place ...

A four-week stay at The Blue Lodge - that was first class! The cottage - set in an excellently maintained garden, well screened from prying eyes and noise from the road, with an outdoor area to sit and relax - was a dream and one of the best we have stayed in for many years. Bright rooms and lots of light through the skylights - that was the first impression. There was plenty of space in the kitchen where you entered the house: lots of cupboard space and plenty of crockery, a dining area where up to four people could sit. The living room was also spacious and offered a sofa as well as an armchair to relax in. The bedroom was also spacious and also helped to relax. The bathroom offered a huge shower. Two details of criticism should be mentioned here: In the bedroom we would have liked a little more storage space (shelves, drawer cupboards or similar) to better accommodate our clothes. The icing on the cake in this holiday home would have been a washing machine. But these points in no way detract from the positive overall impression. The communication with the owners Chi and Peter was also excellent. They answered all our questions and concerns as quickly as possible. We would like to thank them once again for this! We would gladly come back again ...
