With stylish open plan living and sun-drenched outdoor space; this lodge is the perfect place for family and friends to gather for magical getaways in one of Devon's prettiest countryside locations.

Chic furnishings and modern features can be found throughout, with the open plan design of the lodge creating a bright and contemporary space to completely unwind in. At its heart you will discover a sophisticated kitchen, complete with everything you would need to whip up a few delicious home cooked meals in, and an open plan living space where you can unwind in complete comfort after action-packed days exploring the lake and its activities. A luxury holiday wouldn't be complete without the most comfortable of sleeping so Orchid has three gorgeous bedrooms including a superior master with its own hidden en-suite with deluxe shower. Outside there's a fabulous terrace where you'll be able to dine in the sunshine, and a large electric hot tub seating 5 / 6 guests is the perfect place to while the hours away while dinner sizzles on the barbecue.

Roadford Lake sits just 100 metres from the lodge's doorstep so for those seeking outdoor adventure, the situation is perfect, and an abundance of nature trails in the surrounding area mean guests travelling with their pooches will be spoilt for choice when its time to get out and about.

Excellent lodge. With everything you could want. Fully equipped with everything you could need. Location was fab and lovely area to be explored. The hot tub excellent and hidden enough by the shrubs. Would definitely book again

Girls getaway

6 of us stayed at Roadford Lake, group of best mates seeking a getaway. The lodge was beautiful, had all we needed, very clean & comfortable. We spent a lovely chilled time in the hot tub and enjoyed the scenery and how quiet it was. Would highly recommend it and the correspondence between me and booking agent was great, instruction were clear, payment method easy and relevant details past a couple of days before. Thank you

Excellent

Perfect family stay with a small dog in a beautiful presented lodge. Situated in a peaceful setting with the added bonus of your very own hot tub. I would highly recommend for a relaxing break away. The lodge was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely family trip away!

Recently stayed at Orchid Lodge with a baby and dog. Had a great stay despite the weather's best efforts! The property was clean, modern and a home from home with luxury added. Great location for walks and the coast is only 40min drive away. All resulted in a perfect break away.

Roadford Lake Lodges

A very nice spacious lodge in a good position within the site, easy access to the lakeside cafe were good quality food and drinks are available, we had a problem locking and unlocking the front door to the lodge but were able to use door from lounge for access also the top oven inner glass retaining plastic piece was loose, both were reported for repair after our departure.

Lovely accommodation

Luxurious accommodation with hot tub. Exactly how described. Lovely quiet site. Only negative is that the lodge itself garden/patio is not secure so if you have a dog you may need to keep them on an extended lead to be outside if they have a tenancy to wander! You do need a car and if you want to go to the coast you are looking at a 20+ mile trip. We can't wait to go again - lovely stay

Fantastic Treat for my 60th Birthday

Thank you for a fantastic 4 day stay in Orchid Lodge, it was a treat for my 60 th Birthday. The lodge was of high standards, comfortable, amazingly clean, and equipped with everything you could posdinly think of. The site is so quiet and peaceful , just what you need for a perfect chilled break. The hot tub was a touch of luxury to add to the relaxing break. I would definitely stay here again, I've already recommended it to lots of my friends and Family. Many thanks again.

Lovely lodge, shame about the cobwebs

Lovely lodge but could have done with a duster on top of the skirting boards and corners, having said that it was generally clean and very comfortable. Cleaners just need to pay attention to detail then it would have been 5 out of 5 A few matching glasses wouldn't go a miss either. Very handy for the A30

Lovely but no outside umbrella

The whole place was lovely and clean, perfect for us girls to have a chilled weekend, the downside was that we had no umbrella/parasol for the outside patio area, when we rang the out of hours number (nobody at reception) to ask if we could have one the answer was no, even when asked if we could take one from a lodge that was vacant.

Each lodge is individually owned and not all of the owners provide them, so the site team are unable to move them to other lodges. There will be a number of different reasons for not providing a parasol and this can include safety in windy conditions and damage caused by a previous guest We are disappointed that this was not explained to you whilst you were there. Hot tub winter break

Lodge was lovely, very clean and comfortable with nice large bathrooms. The hot tub was excellent and was checked each day and it was well worth hiring the spa robes and extra towels for its use. I may have missed an option for a welcome pack, but the kitchen did not have any condiments, tea, coffee, foil, kitchen roll etc so worth packing your own. The site was very quiet with easy access for a walk to Roadford Lake. We used it as a base for some day trips to the coast around 45 minutes away as well as visiting some local towns. Strawberry Fields farm shop and cafe locally was worth a visit too. A great relaxing break at a very peaceful location.

Orchid lodge is amazing.

This was our 3rd stay at Roadford lake and the best one yet! The lodge was amazing, such good attention to detail, very clean and private. Although you're on the main road for the lodges everything is private the bushes they have grown completely cover your seating area and hot tub. The Hot tub was clean and massive great addition. It's very modern and stylish and the owners have thought of everything. The en-suite bathroom is hidden in the wardrobe which is just incredible. The one little thing we think but I wouldn't mark it down for this is the mattress in the main bedroom is on its way out, you can feel all the springs through it but we still managed to sleep so it's all good. Well stocked kitchen with appliances and utensils and they leave spices, seasonings, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, kitchen roll, washing up stuff for you which is lovely.

Amazing accommodation!

Just come back from this lodge. Amazing! There was a lovely fresh smell as soon as we opened the door and all the way through the lodge. It was immaculately clean and the standard of the lodge was fantastic. The hot tub was checked and cleaned every day by on site staff. We took a dog with us and if I could make one small comment it would be that the outside space is not secure. We were aware of this so took a long lead for her to be attached to and we could wrap around the fencing posts so she could go outside with us safely. We noticed one of the lodges did have a gate to section off a small part of their outside space and this would have been lovely but didn't spoil our stay in any way. Would love to return and we are looking at going back next year with family. Highly recommend
