Lost in the beautiful Cornish countryside, this space is for people who want to escape and unwind.
The area and space are incredibly unique, set back from the sand dunes of Perran Sands in a little pocket of tranquility and stillness.
This charming period house with a stunning natural pool is set in a spacious valley, hidden down a windy country lane where you will find the house set just off the lane. Directions and a pinned location will be provided to help you not miss us!
The property has been renovated in places but still has features from the original 1840's old stone cottage that it once was, this can be seen in the kitchen and bedrooms. The spacious lounge has a large fireplace with comfy sofas to lounge in. Thereâs a large round dining table for those evening meals. Upstairs the ensuite master bedroom has a balcony overlooking the pool & courtyard. The wing at the opposite end has two gorgeous high beam bedrooms with an ensuite. In the courtyard you will find a fire pit and a coal bbq perfect for those long summer nights to gaze up at the stars! We also have a ping pong table for those who like to play. Enjoy the natural swimming pool with water lilies and dragon flies.
The secluded and spacious property is in a rural location on the north coast of Cornwall located between Holywell & Perranporth with Newquay & Truro a short drive away with all the amenities. Perran Sands & Holywell beach are within walking distance of the cottage (25-45mins), while the variety of cycle routes, walking paths and surrounding villages in the area mean plenty of opportunity for exploring the beautiful scenery.
We had a lovely, relaxing week in this house and we canât recommend it enough. Spotlessly clean, very spacious and with everything you need to make it feel like home. The only thing missing is a microwave. There is very little to no phone reception and whilst there is WiFi it wasnât very good, but we saw this as a positive. The garden and patio area is also large and well equipped, it was great to sit out and listen to the peace and quite and wildlife.
The pool is a freshwater pool which is filtered through plants and not heated, the colour might put you off but itâs nice and refreshing and leaves your skin leaving lovely, you often see baby newts, frogs, dragonflies around the edges near the plants. We all loved the pool and were lucky with the weather too.
The location is great for exploring all the local Cornish beaches but it is definitely not walkable. The road is a small country lane only as wide as a car. There is parking at the property.
The owners live just up the road and own the other properties nearby, we didnât see anything of them except on the day that we arrived.
Overall we had an amazing holiday, and would love to come back, although the price has massively gone up.
