Lovely property! Rebecca is a friendly, attentive host, very welcoming. Comfortable bed, quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was squeaky clean, with a great shower. Delicious cookies and coffee/tea were always available!
The home is in a safe neighborhood in walking distance of campus. The home is perfectly clean and the bathrooms were well stocked. Would recommend to a friend if they staying in Syracuse, look here first. The host was awesome. And she communicated well before check in. Thank you again.
Considering that we shared house with other guests, and having grown up in this neighborhood and similar type of house, I found the house to be very comfortable.
Renee was great with communication and adjusting to last minute request for our son to stay also. We staying in the basement suite (large bedroom, lounge and private bathroom with all the amenities. It was a wonderful stay. Only suggestion is that, if you have a car, do NOT park on the street (even if you are told it is fine for graduation) as we parked on the street (sign says no parking anytime) and got a ticket. Otherwise Renee couldn't have made it more comfortable for us. Definitely recommend.
Came to town to drop my daughter off for her freshman year at Syracuse. Really enjoyed my stay, nice room, great location, excellent communication with the owner. Would definitely come back.
Renee was a great host, communicative, and kind. Great location to explore the University, and parking! I would stay here again without any hesitation.
Great home and wonderful location for my trip to visit Syracuse University. You canât beat this location and the host was very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend!
Renee was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The room was comfortable. Loved how close the house was to campus - made our stay very easy.
Girls weekend getaway. Easy walk to university campus and restaurants etc. quick and easy $10 Uberâs all over town. Quaint front porch comfortable rooms and a plate of cookies made it a perfect weekend.
Renee gave me the Suite on the 3rd floor so I had my own bathroom, a mini fridge and microwave. She was a very gracious host - allowing people into her home. I was in town for a concert at the amphitheater which was an easy drive from the rental. There is information in the room about restaurants/cafes in the Westcott neighborhood - quaint areay of Syracuse. Would definitely stay with Renee again if I am in the area.
Listing says 2 rooms, 2 beds: we were given 1 room 1 bed
While the host is very friendly and I appreciated the personal nature of the stay, she insisted that the listing was for 1 room with 1 bed. It clearly says 2 rooms and 2 beds, which is what I needed for me and my aunt. She charged me an extra $100 for the second room.
My stay was fantastic - property was exactly as advertised, shared home with a private room. Renee is extremely friendly and accommodating, she takes her role as host very seriously, met me at the door and gave a welcome tour of the house so I could get settled. She is incredibly informative about Syracuse and was very helpful with providing information as to how to get around in the area (which was great, because it was my first time ever in the city!). The house is clean and well kept at all times - and overall very comfortable. If you are looking for a place to stay in Syracuse, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. 10/10!
First, Renee is a terrific host â and a wonderful character. Her home is a block and a half from my daughterâs dorm and right near a park and Renee makes a great housemate. Also, itâs much less expensive than a hotel. Renee pretty much gives you the whole place to roam and provides snacks and coffee. There are 3 rooms available on the 2nd floor and they all share the one bathroom. Fortunately for meâI was the only one there. Iâm sure thatâs in the description but I missed it. The room was good enough but definitely needed a bedside reading lamp. Safe, clean, comfortable and good company.
Renee is absolutely wonderful, very accommodating, and welcoming. Communication is great and the property couldnât be better for parents traveling into Syracuse to see their kids. Renee even provides coffee and breakfast. I will definitely be staying here again.
I have lived in this home for 30 years, - Love the University Area - I have 5 bedrooms, fully furnished and willing to share my home with folks visiting Syracuse.
Location - Location - Location ! That's what the Salt Potato Inn has to offer. Walking distance to Hospitals, Syracuse University, dinning and shopping!
