We absolutely loved our stay at this rustic cabin! It was cozy, charming, and had so much character. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

We had a fantastic time! The cabin, had absolutely everything we needed! it’s was incredibly peaceful, clean, and excellent location! Definitely will book this gem in the future!

The property exceeded our expectations - renting a cabin is always choosing a more rustic way to travel, and this cabin was the nicest one we’ve ever stayed at. It’s set on a beautiful property, lovely grounds, big fridge, space to cook, and we found the bed to be very comfortable. Is the bathroom small? Yes - but we rented a cabin and cabins are small. Honestly for the price we would absolutely stay here again. It’s a steal. Cabin is approx. 7 minutes to green lakes state park, reallllllly pretty water and a 2 mile walking loop around the water. Host had plenty of coffee pods for our use and gave us absolute privacy.

Very cozy cabin. Fire flys came out every night. I kinda want to come back during a winter snow storm to try the wood burning stove.

We were looking for a place that was homey, not like a hotel stay that was close to Syracuse. This cottage is not for everyone, but for us, we are very comfortable with rustic living. The cottage is quirky and filled with eclectic furnishings. Not the best mattress, but okay for the 3 nights we stayed. The bathroom is tiny but has all that it needs. Think of the cottage like staying on a boat. The neighborhood felt very safe and quiet. While set in the back yard of the main home, the cottage is set apart enough for privacy. The weather was nice to breakfast on the terrace and enjoy the parklike landscaping. Nearby, we hiked the trails at Green Lakes Reservoir and were able to get into Syracuse in minutes. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly in passing and when we needed help with the Wi-Fi, while leaving us otherwise to ourselves. We would stay at the cottage when visiting the area again.

We had a wonderful stay in Syracuse, New York at this cozy little cabin tucked away on the host’s property. The space was quiet, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Even though it’s small, the cabin felt welcoming and well thought out — perfect for a relaxing getaway.The location was great: close enough to town for restaurants and things to do, but still private and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the outdoor setting barbecue was a great addition and so was the fire pitwhich made it easy to unwind and feel surrounded by nature.Our host was kind, responsive, and made check-in simple. Overall, it was a unique and charming spot that gave us the privacy of a cabin stay with the convenience of being near Syracuse.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy retreat!

Seamless

The property was well maintained and the little cabin was easy to find. The weather was perfect so we were able to leave the windows open that night and hear peaceful night sounds and feel a cool breeze. When we arrived, Cheryl had made sure to have the cabin cool for us which I thought was a nice touch. Though that cabin was close to the primary residence, we had full privacy during our stay. Very clean and organized plus it was super cozy. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves and left feeling relaxed ….I hope we will be back soon!

Cheryl and John were great people. Very friendly. One bad part was that the airconditioner was not quite adequate for the whole cabin. Even at max speed, it needed the ceiling fan at high speed to circulate the air. A huge safety concern was thst the stair railings into the cabin are Way too low. Maybe for a small person, ok. Dangerous.

Wasn’t satisfied

The cabin was really not secluded it was in somebody’s backyard surrounded by a couple trees and then if you want around to the side you could see the neighborhood no outdoor fire and there’s really nothing out there and less you stay at Green Lakes State Park

This cabin is not listed as secluded, it is listed as private with no mention of a fire pit anywhere in my listing. You left all your dirty dishes and took the toilet paper. I guess i had to finally experience a mediocre guest compared to my exceptional ones. Lesson learned.

Musty and lacking

Definitely good for appearance, staging. Linens and kitchen were good Extremely musty smell that carried home with our cloths in our suitcase TV only had reception if home owner wasn’t home Check in at 6 PM was ridiculous Response from home owner in regards to seeking help for TV reception was inappropriate Basically said how she gets no complaints and her cabin is always booked, well that’s not what I asked about The bed was very uncomfortable We did not sleep well and ended going home early.

This review is so undeserved and completely not true. I knew from the start that this guest was going to be a problem. Check in is at 6pm. Which i usually allow people to check in a little early upon request, but this guest started texting at 11:30 am stating she was at green lakes and was ready for the cabin. I did allow her an early check in after her text. The musty smell probably came from her leaving soaked towels drapped over all the chairs and all the windows in the cabin open and are equipped with screens. She also left food all over the floor and dishes were not washed only rinsed. Had to redo all of them a thoroughly scrub everything. As for the tv reception i offered to come and take a look at it as she was asking my advise on what to do with an app she was having trouble with. I could offer no solution over texts due to not ever having anyone else complain or having to trouble shoot. They did not leave early they left at 7am on the day of checkout which was totally appropriate since they checked way before check in time. It seems to me that this guest did not read the listing thoroughly. Would not host again.

The property is a nice location for a little get away. Close to parks and hiking and still close to city comforts. It is located on a sprawling property giving pleanty of privacy. The only recomendation would be better air conditioning (the window unit cannot keep the property cool) and the bed is small (full size).

Cute little cabin in back of the owners property. All the amenities you need are there. We had a couple of minor issues that were taken care of immediately. Great location. Would stay there again.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I was looking for a “cabin in the woods” for a quiet “time out” during the busy Christmas season and came across Cheryl’s listing. It was exactly as listed and precisely what I was looking for. Comfortable, quiet, spotless, well equipped. Cheryl is a gracious host-available but not intrusive, and even had a gift basket waiting for me!
