Cosy cottage dating back to medieval times in rural countryside with large gardens. Ideal for two couples but sleeps up to six. Young children will need to be supervised bcause of open landing and large pond. Not suited to people with mobility problems because of narrow winding stairs and low ceiling heights.
The building is really old (parts from 12th century) so it feels like you are staying in a bit of history. Lots of old beams and original features which we loved. The thick walls meant the building stayed cool in the really hot weather we have been having.
The lounge was a good size and the kitchen had everything you need to cook. But you do need to bring washing up liquid and sponges.
The bedrooms were a good size but could benefit from a mirror on the dressing table to make hair drying easier.
The location is down a track and is very peaceful. We enjoyed stargazing away from light pollution.
Will recommend to friends who want to stay somewhere with a bit of character.
Home was beautiful and in a gated community. The escort was very friendly and resourceful. I wish we had better immediate communication as we had a couple of issues one night (no water and ants). However, by the next morning the escort made herself available immediately with the proper personnel to replenish the water. We did have an insect issue in the kitchen but the escort did provide resources to aid in mitigating the issue. Outside of that, the hospitality was great. Plenty of appliances for cooking, well kept pool and outdoor grill, manicured lawn and organized home. Recommended the property to fellow St. Croix resident who will pass along to visitors.
