À propos de cet hébergement

Une merveilleuse occasion de séjourner dans le pittoresque village de Newland situé dans une zone de conservation. Le Coach House est bien situé et équipé à un niveau très élevé pour des vacances indépendantes et est adapté pour des pauses actives ou relaxantes toute l'année. Marchez ou pédalez depuis la porte. L'auberge d'autruche est à 100 mètres. Notre objectif est de fournir un lieu de luxe pour se détendre et profiter de la région environnante.

Nous avons reçu le Gold Award 5 étoiles de Visit England avec le nouvel ajout d'une cuisine entièrement rénovée en 2018.

L'hébergement est accessible via une véranda adaptée pour stocker des manteaux, des bottes boueuses et des chiens. Il y a aussi un local à vélos couvert et des installations de lavage extérieures pour nettoyer les vélos et les chiens!

A l'intérieur il y a deux salles de réception. Le salon supérieur offre un coin salon avec télévision à écran plat et lecteur DVD et haut-parleurs pour iPod, ainsi qu'un coin repas pouvant accueillir huit personnes. Il y a aussi une bibliothèque avec une sélection de DVD et des livres et des cartes locales.

La cuisine entièrement équipée et rénovée en 2018 avec machine à café Nespresso, machine à pain, deux fours et plaques à induction.
Une buanderie séparée est accessible depuis le salon supérieur.

Le salon inférieur confortable contient un feu ouvert et un autre siège ainsi qu'un autre téléviseur à écran plat.

Le couchage est assuré par 3 grandes chambres. Chaque chambre est meublée individuellement selon les normes les plus élevées avec des draps en coton 300 fils - 2 chambres sont à l'étage et une est accessible depuis le rez-de-chaussée. Les chambres se composent d'un jumeau, un double et un avec la possibilité d'être soit un jumeau ou un double.

Il y a deux salles de bains - une au rez-de-chaussée avec w. c., lavabo et douche et une seconde au premier étage avec w. c., lavabo, bain à double extrémité plus une grande douche séparée.

Toutes les chambres sont chauffées de façon centrale et il y a un accès Internet Wi-Fi gratuit pour ceux qui ne veulent pas quitter complètement le monde de la technologie.

LA PROPRIÉTÉ ENTIÈRE EST NON-FUMEUR.

La cour extérieure est isolée avec un coin salon avec un barbecue et un jardin mature ainsi qu'un parking hors route pour une voiture et un local à vélos couvert. Parking gratuit sur route disponible. Profitez d'un dîner en plein air dans la jolie cour, ou détendez-vous simplement avec un verre de vin tout en écoutant les hiboux dans les arbres voisins.

We just had a 4 night stay but it was a very pleasant experience. The Coach House is well laid out, especially for two sets of families. The beds are comfortable and the whole property is clean. It is ideally situated for walking locally and for visiting the sights.

Lovely property and location

The cottage is spacious and well appointed. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. The cottage was warm and cosy in the cold weather. We had everything we needed. A great stay! We would definitely go again.

Friends reunion in beautiful setting

This is a beautiful house in a picturesque village surrounded by stunning countryside. The house is really well equipped and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. We did country walks from the house on both days we were there and the scenery was spectacular - there is so much to explore and enjoy in this area. I would thoroughly recommend this property and hope we might return there in the future.

Delightful cottage

A lovely furnished cottage with plenty of space for a family. Spotlessly clean and and furnishings very comfortable. Only drawback for us was that both double beds had soft mattresses, especially the main bedroom!!! Otherwise, perfect in every way!!!

A lovely welcome pack with great cake to help us into our stay.followed by friendly people in the area who all chatted and make us feel comfortable. 40 mis to Cardiff straight along dual carriageway and many places of interest in the near vicinity.

Perfect property and location

My wife and I needed a good sized property located for easy access to the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. This property is perfectly located in a quiet village within easy reach of excellent walks and cycle routes. The Coach House is comfy, well equipped and in a quiet spot. The pub nearby did good food and is within 2 minutes walking distance. Overall a superb spot. The owners were on hand for enquiries and were very helpful.

Spacious and well equipped plus delicious cake!

A great base to explore the area from. The best equipped self-catering kitchen I've come across. Large bedrooms, great showers and enough living space to spread out and do your own thing if wanted (handy when holidaying with older children/teens). The only potential downside we found is that there are steps up and down throughout plus varnished wooden treads on the stairs, so it's a bit tricky for anyone who's less steady on their feet. Other great benefits of staying here include a delicious cake, speedy broadband and an electric car charge point.

Lovely getaway

A lovely house to stay in, for four OAP friends. We met up for lunch in the Ostrich and visited the church on our forst afternoon. We got out to Symonds Yat on our first full day and enjoyed sitting in the garden chairs in the late afternoon. The kitchen was easy to use, as we self catered for two nights. We visited Tintern Abbey on the next day and watched a falconry display, and then treated ourselves to a meal at the Ostrich on our last night. All very delightful things to do while we were there and we felt so at home, going back to the Coach House each day. Highly recommended.

Great house, great location

We had a lovely stay here as three couples, we had lots of space so we could all do our own thing and not get in each others' way, but also enough space to come together for meals. We had good communication with the owners. The house is gorgeous, furnished to a high standard with everything you could need. We loved the enclosed courtyard garden, particularly for breakfast. The village is quiet, with a great pub (recommended!) and the church is well worth a visit. We found it a great location to walk and cycle from, the Forest of Dean is excellent for both. We also spent time at Symonds Yat kayaking, walking and cycling there. I would highly recommend this property and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Wunderschönes Cottage

Wir haben als sechsköpfige Familie unseren zweiwöchigen Urlaub im Coach House verbracht. Das Cottage ist total gemütlich, großräumig, detailverliebt und hat uns und unseren 4 Kindern absolut ausreichend Platz gegeben. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Küche ist super gut ausgestattet, der Esstisch im Wohnbereich sehr groß. Es gibt zwei Wohnzimmer mit Couch, Sesseln und zwei Fernsehgeräten, zwei Badezimmer, davon eins mit Wanne, einen Kamin und 3 Schlafzimmer mit viel Platz. Im Cottage stehen zahlreiche Flyer mit Ausflugsmöglichkeiten zur Verfügung. Sogar Spiele und Bücher stehen bereit. Im unmittelbaren Umfeld gibt es zahlreiche Aktivitäten für Familien. Wir konnten unseren zweiwöchigen Urlaub gut füllen. Besonders erwähnenswert ist, dass Alison uns am Anreisetag ein sehr leckeres Abendessen gekocht und einen Kuchen gebacken hat. Als wir nach 10 Stunden Anreise aus Deutschland angekommen sind, war der Tisch bereits gedeckt und das Essen war fertig. Für den folgenden Tag hatte uns Alison bereits das Frühstück eingekauft, sodass wir als Großfamilie ganz entspannt ankommen konnten. Vielen lieben Dank dafür. Wir haben uns sehr herzlich Willkommen gefühlt und können das Coach House jedem empfehlen, der einen entspannten Urlaub verbringen und die Natur genießen möchte.

Super maison pour des vacances en famille. Trois très grandes chambres. Et tout pour 6 personnes. Parfait pour des randonnées en forêt, pour visiter les villes de la région, pour profiter des pubs. Nous conseillons à 100%.

Spacious, well equipped and comfortable property

Three huge bedrooms, very comfy beds and a warm house. It is in a lovely setting, not really a village, no shop but a lovely pub currently only open Thurs-Sun. Set in beautiful countryside and good walking.

Everything you need

Everything you could need was thought of and provided in the property. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen, so anything you needed had been thought of! Plenty of space, sitting areas, board games and 2 tvs. It was also lovely and cool inside when temperatures outside were in the 30s. Beautiful church opposite and a village pub within walking distance

Perfect Stay in an ideal location

Booked the property to meet up with family, and work remotely. Worked out perfectly. It’s a quiet location and well placed to explore the area. Off street parking is a bonus, and an easy walk to The Ostrich for some good home cooked food. Thanks!!

We stayed for a long weekend and found the property to be absolutely ideal- it's full of character yet extremely practical. It housed our 3 couples extremely comfortably and we did all our own cooking as the local pub was temporarily closed

Great house and week walking and visting local area

Loved the location and the house was great. The Kids were able to have their own section away from the Adults! Great dog walks around the local area, and plenty of places to drive to and walk. Monmouth is close (12 mins away) and has take-out and good shops. Our host was super helpful and had great advice. House was very comfortable and well equipped. I would highly reccomend it. The village is small and no shops, so you will need to drive to get supplies, but plenty of shops and towns near by. Great host a very enjoyable holiday.

A fabulous weekend get-away

This is a perfect property for a family or a group of friends to stay in a stunning location. There is lots to see and do in the area and the house is great to enjoy in the evening after a great day out.

Half term get away

We had a relaxing break at the Coach House. The property was roomy and had all that we needed. Along with attractive period features. We were situated in a good location for venturing out across the Forest of Dean and near by towns. Despite it being before many activities open up fir the year (which is in March) we found things for the kids to do (high ropes, lake walks, swimming, cinema). The only problem was that I picked this accommodation because my dad has mobility issues, but sadly he found it very difficult to manage even the few steps in the property. Perhaps some grab rails and extra steps to put in front of the larger steps would help to make the property more accessible to disabled users. But over all we managed and had an enjoyable time; and our host was most courteous too.

Great host!

We had a really comfortable stay at the Coach House. Unfortunately like many others we were impacted by Storm Arwen, but Alison and Dave did what they could to minimise the impact. Lovely location for getting out into the countryside.

Newland is a tranquil village on the edge of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. We have been providing our self Catering Coach House for rent for 17 years and have throughly enjoyed meeting new people and hearing of their experiences whilst exploring the Forest. We and our dogs enjoy walking/cycling and general relaxation in this quite area.
