A gorgeous property with an almost overwhelming variety of amenities -- we couldn't decide whether to shoot hoops or play pinball, walk to the beach or sit in the hot tub. The owner is exceedingly generous with his time and effort, and made it a wonderful vacation for the whole family. Couldn't recommend more.
This was our second year in a row staying here, and it was as lovely as we remembered. Lots of upgrades from last year! My favorites are the hot tub (which easily held the 5 of us with room to spare) and the pinball machine. Secluded feel, but near everything - perfect!
Home away from home. It had everything we needed & more, quiet neighborhood & great location to the beach. The house is set up for a great family experience & thatâs exactly what we needed. Got to check out the Whydah museum & Provincetown. We didnât want to leave!
My husband, sons (9 & 7 yo), and myself just got home from a week long stay at Mark's property. We had an absolute blast- from relaxing in the hot tub after a long beach day to hanging out and playing pinball or pool in the carriage house, shooting hoops in the yard, and just generally enjoying this large, amenity filled property.
The home itself is much larger than it appears to be from the outside and was the perfect size for our family of 4 with plenty of space for us to all relax. The property grounds are enormous and as well kept as the home itself. Mark is an extremely generous and helpful host and we truly appreciated how much effort he clearly put into ensuring the property is clean, comfortable, well equipped with all needs for a beach vacation, and enjoyed by all ages.
We are very much looking forward to returning next year and making this our new family vacation spot in the Cape!
Four adults stayed for a week of birding on the Cape. We felt that the owners had done a lot of work to make an older house into a place many people would want to stay today. The beds were very comfortable, nice hot tub, new pots and pans. Heater, air conditioners, and dehumidifier made the house comfortable in all weather. We didn't use all the recreational equipment, beach equipment, and recreation building, but families would love all of that! The house was historic which meant steep stairs, and to get to the upstairs bathroom, you had to walk through one of the bedrooms. Good screened windows opened, doors locked well. We appreciated the little touches such as plenty of toilet paper, flashlights, a first aid kit, great toaster, Keurig coffee maker with samples supplied, plus a regular coffee maker or two. Huge washer and dryer, and a drawer with the manuals for all the appliances. Good welcome letter, good communication with owner. He even put up bird feeders for us! A huge stocked spice rack, and an amazing phone charging station were just a few of the perks. I would stay there again and recommend it for families especially with kids over 5.
Location has a very secluded feel, but provides easy access to beaches, restaurants, etc.
Back yardâLush grass, perfect for yard games like wiffle ball, KanJam and frisbee. With the full-size soccer goal, could play a small-sided gameâwe opted for only shootouts. Well maintained bocce court, perfect in the afternoon shade. Enjoyed the fire pit at nightâgreat for toasting marshmallows.
Half-Court BasketballâEnjoyed many 3 on 3âs and physical games of horse+21. High quality court.
Carriage HouseâMajor highlightâplayed a ton of ping-pong and pool. The pinball machine is of the quality youâd find in an arcade. Giant TV, large seating area and bed. It provided great quiet space and allowed for early morning (Womenâs World Cup final) and late-night viewing without disturbing others.
Hot Tub and outdoor table/umbrellaâFit six adults in the tub; made for a nice winddown before dinner. Outdoor table seats 8+.
Other recommendationsâA drive to Provincetown; Skipperâs clam chowder; great Rails to Trails bike path â easy rental at Barbâs Bike Shop. Got on the trail right there, rode about 10 miles to the start of Nickerson State Park. Quick turnaround to stop for a lunch break at Cobieâs Clam Shack (clam strips and fries!)âthen 9.5 miles back.
Owner/managerâMark provided a wealth of info before our trip and was VERY responsive to any questions we had. Great customer service!
In summary, even if our feet had never hit the sand, the property alone provided a fun and active vacation!
The house came as advertised. The yard, basketball court, hot tub and game room are great features for young kids. Mark was extremely helpful prior to our visit with all of the house instructions and where things were. The neighborhood is quiet but still close to everything. My family and I are looking forward to coming back next year!!
This was the perfect house for our family trip to the Cape to celebrate our grandson's starting kindergarten. We picked this house because of all the toys that are provided, and we actually couldn't use them all in only a week's time! The grandkids loved the hot tub, which they treated as if it were a swimming pool. The big yard was ideal for batting practice. And the driveway and basketball court were just what they needed for scooters and bikes.
We also enjoyed the pool table, ping pong table and fire pit. But the real star of the show was the pinball machine, which the adults took turns on with every free moment. Sadly, no one cracked a billion points, but our son-in-law came close!
This is an older house, and did not have the most modern finishes and features. But there was plenty of space for playing with Hot Wheels, floor puzzles and marble runs. All in all, just what we were looking for in a late-summer fun house!
We had a great stay! We were close to the beach (walkable) and the property was amazing. We enjoyed the hot tub, the many yard games, basketball court, and the pool table and pinball machine in the carriage house. My kids loved it! We were also close enough to neighboring towns and had no problem getting into Hyannis, Chatham, and even Provincetown. I would highly recommend this stay!
We had such an awesome vacation. Property was clean, house was perfect for our family of 4.
The yard is awesome with plenty to do for kids.
Close drive to the beaches on both sides of the cape.
Mark was very helpful before and during our stay. We would recommend this property!
Thank you so much Mark!
This house was perfect for out vacation! Lots to do at the house, super-spacious hot tub, game room with lots to do including pinball, very comfortable with ACs throughout. Superb communication with owner if there are any questions. We ere very happy with our stay!
Mark is extraordinarily responsive which started off the process well. The yard is massive and the house pleasantly cozy. The pictures donât quite capture how nice the property is in person. You could spend countless hours just having a good time outside. Itâs perfect for kids of nearly any age. The location is also ideal on Pleasant St. Highly recommend this rental for nearly any time of year.
My kids loved this property! The hot tub was the biggest hit! We enjoyed all the amenities and location was superb. The owner was amazing and we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend to everyone! Love cape cod!
This house is in an excellent location. You can pretty much get most places on the Cape in 30 minutes or less. Provincetown is about an hour away and Plymouth is about 45 minutes away. Great restaurants just right up the road. If you stay here, be sure to check out the Keltic Kitchen for breakfast, Jerryâs Seafood, and plan to visit the Wydah Pirate Museum. All are within a couple miles of the house. Oh, and there is a great Italian bakery just a couple blocks away. The neighborhood is super nice and quiet. The property is huge and has room for everyone. We loved sitting out back in the mornings while enjoying our coffee, watching the squirrels, birds, and even a fox one morning. We spent almost every evening in the huge hot tub. The house has everything you need plus some. Highly recommend and we plan on staying here again.
We loved everything about this property! From morning runs along Bass River to family dinner on the back patio âour time here was the perfect Cape experience. The property is even better than the pictures look. Mark was great to work with and our family is already dreaming of a return trip. Highly recommend!
This home was absolutely perfect for our vacation! The main house was comfortable and had plenty of space for us and our three kids. It was spotless and well-stocked with essentials. I'm envious of the washer and dryer in the basement as they were huge! Perfect for washing the big, thick beach towels that were provided. We loved hanging out in the hot tub, playing basketball, and roasting marshmallows on the fire-pit. Short drive to beaches and South Yarmouth for restaurants and shopping. Oh, and the outdoor shower was fantastic!
This property was absolutely perfect for our adult family of 4. Everything was really clean and in good order. We spent time in the hot tub and had some great fires with sâmores of course.
There is a lot of privacy and we enjoyed watching our little bunny rabbit family. The location made it easy to get to everything from whale and seal watching boats to the ferry to Marthaâs Vineyard.
The pool/ping pong table was an added bonus.
I would highly recommend this property.
After my 3yo got an addiction to hot tubs this winter in NH we decided our next vacation rental needed one. This property has a very nice hot tub, that is clean and easy to use.
The property is also very large with a nice fire pit. There's a ton of other stuff here like a bocce court, pool table, gaming room etc.
The manager was very helpful whenever we texted him. We'd stay there again.
Overall, a great experience. Beautiful property in a great location. Quiet neighborhood with easy access to lots of restaurants and recreation. Property well stocked with lots of things to do. We enjoyed all of the hot tub, soccer, pool, ping pong, etc. TV and internet were good. Owner was very responsive and helpful. A minor negative...the upstairs beds were not very comfortable, but overall we had a great stay and would certainly go back.
We visited the Cape in March, a quiet season, and I wanted to find a property that could easily entertain my elementary school age kids. Mark's home did not disappoint-- there was an expansive yard, a play house and swing set, firepit for s'mores, and a "play" house where they learned ping-pong. In fact, it was a little too successful-- I had a hard time convincing the kids to leave the property to sightsee. This may be a minor detail, but the adults really appreciated the many outlets. Mark was very responsive to my inquiries when I had questions on the technology on his property. 2 thumbs up! Looking forward to visiting Mark's home again.
The property manager was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We enjoyed the charm of the house and many perks of this property, including hot tub, game room, large outdoor space perfect for snowball fights, basketball and soccer games depending on weather. It was a lovely stay!
I fell in love with this property the moment I saw it and had a vision for what it would become. I have extensively renovated this great property to be a place my nieces and nephews get excited to visit. Their friends keep asking when they can go back.
As kids get older they tend to dread the family vacation and spend less time with parents. But they still love to play their sports. Having so much space along with the soccer net, basketball court, and more lets everyone get involved and have a great time.
The kids will take over the great room in the carriage house and play pool and pingpong which watch the Red Sox games and movies.
The quiet setting on a private tree lined road surrounded by million dollar homes is a great break from from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
