We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, absolutely lovely house, wish we could have booked 2 weeks. The house is full of period character but well fitted-out with everything you need for any length of stay. Clean and spacious rooms, lovely garden. Wifi is good, not sure of the speed but fast enough for console gaming (great if you have kids!)Parking is a little tight at the rear of the property but we managed to manoeuvre an estate car in out without issue when others parked sensibly.Host is great, we met Matthew briefly when we arrived as he put some finishing touches to the garden.Would highly recommend, so much so we're thinking of going back next year.
I cannot fault our stay at this lovely period property. It is well located in the heart of Beaulieu and well equipped. We had a 3 night break and got yo make use of the lovely large garden.Matthew greeted us on arrival and and the cake and fizz was much aporeciated. I would recommend this property to anyone wanted an excellent base for exploring the area.We stayed
The property was beautiful - very well equipped, clean, homely and in a perfect location. Small welcoming touches - carrot cake, Prosecco, logs for the fire - just added to the sense of a real home from home. Could not fault the property or the host, who provided lots of local information to help make the whole trip fun and relaxing.
My friends and I booked this property to get out of London for a couple of days. The cottage was beautiful and a lot larger than we expected! The cottage was so clean and really cosy. The location is perfect, right in the centre of the village and we jumped in taxis when necessary. The host, Matthew, was very responsive and provided all the information needed. I would definitely come back again!
So many thoughtful touches made this such a relaxing stay and our hosts were super helpful and responsive. Will stay again next time we are in the area!
The property is a beautiful, large, period property with a large, secure garden, in a fabulous location. The house is very well equipped, very clean, and very tastefully decorated and furnished. Communication with the host was very good. It was the perfect base for exploring the area, and we canât wait to return.
This is the second time our family group (6 adults) has stayed here, and it was just as wonderful. Lovely decor, immaculately clean. The host is very helpful. The house is perfectly situated for exploring the New Forest. Large garden. No problems parking in the street if you have more than one car. Highly recommended.
The house was lovely, situated right in the heart of Beaulieu. Lots of space, right beside the amenities. It was a treat to step outside and see the donkeys wandering up the street.
We stayed in the Old Bank House for our sonâs wedding weekend. It was fabulous, a cottage with character but with all modern facilities and wonderful accommodation and garden. Located in Beaulieu , a short walk to the pub that serves great food.
Communication with the owner was excellent too. A bottle of Prosecco and a carrot cake waiting for us on arrival was the icing of the cake!
This was a family holiday for six adult's (two elderly parents). The house was very pleasant and had lots of character with all the modern appliances that you would need to use. The location of the property was in the high street in Beaulieu Village and had own private car parking area Although you can park on the road. (High Street for free). chose this location, so family could explore the surrounding area of the New forest. There's lots to do, lots of places to visit, lots of activities some a short drive in the car some on foot or cycle.Booking the property was very easy via the web site There were nice little touches, a bottle of Posesco and cake on arrival. Toiletries etc. We arrived a bit early and had the pleasure of meeting the host on site, who was hard at work, preparing the garden for our arrival. What a wonderful person, very helpful with suggestions, knowledge of the area and support during our stay. The host was always available via the website message, responded to any inquiries very quickly. The house was very clean and when we arrived.A large kitchen dinning area and lounge. Two large bedrooms one en suite, and a two twin rooms, main bathroom which was quite adequate, beds were comfortable. When sitting in the rear garden, it was very quiet, although house was in the middle of a village. It was very pleasant. Sun shine on the garden during the day and evening. After a busy day exploring it was nice to return to the house.
3 generations of our family stayed here to celebrate my mums birthday and it was perfect. The house was full of character and brilliantly appointed with everything we could have needed. The garden was huge and my nieces loved rolling down the slope at the end. Beaulieu is a great location both as somewhere to visit itself but also as a base to explore from. We're already talking about when we might go back!
Had an enjoyable stay in the centre of Beaulieu.
House very clean, with comfortable beds. Large garden with barbecue. Nice welcome pack.
Enjoyed walks around Beaulieu seeing the many ponies.
Many places to eat in village. Would love to stay again.
From start to finish this was an incredible place. Our hosts communication pre arrival was superb and to be met on arrival with cake , chocolates and Prosecco was such a great start . A beautiful property and garden all in pristine condition and everything was perfect
My friend and I had a wonderful 3 night stay in The Old Bank House. It is located in the heart of Beaulieu high street with easy parking at the rear of the property. The home is well equipped, very clean and beautifully furnished. There is plenty of living space and 4 good size bedrooms. The beds are extremely comfortable too.
The garden is large and private with an outdoor table and chairs.
Matthew was a great host, informative and easy to communicate with.
Look forward to another visit sometime.
Our family had spent a lovely weekend together here. The house is on the small, quaint High Street. The rooms are beautifully furnished, spacious and spotlessly clean. The large garden is a great place to spend time relaxing in, with a fabulous bbq and large table. The kitchen is very well equipped , and the host Matthew was very kind and helpful.
It was an ideal place to celebrate my birthday in this well-kept and clean house. The rooms were large and catered well for the family. We enjoyed having a celebratory family meal around the large table and the well-equipped kitchen was good. It was very well placed to have our visit to the Beaulieu Motor Museum. The house fulfilled all our needs and everybody enjoyed their weekend break.
Had a great stay in the New Forest. The House itself is larger than we anticipated with hard flooring throughout the ground flood which helped to keep it clean during our stay. Immaculately presented with all the mod cons you'd need. The garden was very large and secure perfect if you have dogs like us. Overall id say the house was excellent in a great location a d we'd definitely stay again.
Contact from owner was very good in the run up to our stay & once we arrived. Good directions, easy to find/access. If anything I would say the photos don't do justice as to just how spacious the property is: all the rooms are large and the garden was absolute bonus for the children and lovely to sit out in. I kept hoping the British summer would arrive so we could make use of the huge log burner but it remained too warm. As a parent of young children in advance I was quite worried I might be on high alert as it looked quite a 'grown up' property but somehow it manages to feel both immaculate and cosy/homely at th same time. Location is perfect, had the nicest time and have already looked at availability for the future.
Delightful character house in the centre if Beaulieu
Our 3 generation family had a great time at The Old Bankhouse. Parking was easy in the high street for the second car. I hadn't realised there was a garden centre a very short walk along the road which pleased the Nan in our group. Lovely shops a stones throw away too. The house was immaculate. Beds were very comfortable. A few single steps on the ground level but didn't pose a problem for our elderly relatives who use a stick. We used the table for breakfast and dinner. More than enough room in the sitting room too.
The garden is lovely and although chilly in February can see how it would be a sun trap.
The highlight for the children was the donkeys in the village.
We love the New Forest and juggling the needs of 10-75 year old made this a perfect base.
Would highly recommend.
Everything about The Old Bank House was exceptional. The house is beautifully furnished and equipped to a very high standard. At the same time we were made to feel comfortable and welcome to enjoy the space without any restrictions. The bedrooms were all good sized with very comfy beds. Itâs ideally located in the village centre, with easy and convenient parking. And the host, Matthew, was very accommodating and responsive. I canât recommend this property more highly - book it if you can!
