LOCATION

Meadowbank shopping centre with Sainsbury's superstore open daily from 6am to 10pm,M&S,TKmaxx,KFC and more is just 5 minutes walk from the apartment.

Our Edinburgh apartment is the ideal hub from which to access Edinburgh City Centre and Princes Street, be it for business or pleasure. We are just about 15-20 minutes walk from the Scottish Parliament, The Royal Residence at Holyrood Palace, the Royal Mile, Princes St. Playhouse, Artur's Seat and most of the main attractions in Scotland's capital city. Located in the modern Horizon development next to Lochend Loch and Lochend Park.

Our apartment is also ideally situated for access to The Shore in Leith, where you will find a plentiful supply of pubs, restaurants, including Michelin Star dining and the Royal Yacht Britannia in Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre. Also nearby the apartment there is very good bus connection available with 24 hour service and a Tesco super store open till midnight.

DESCRIPTION OF THE APARTMENT

Sleep up to 4 guests. The apartment is on the 3rd floor with lift access in the building. There is a living room with corner sofa, coffee table, flat screen TV, DVD and French windows that open to a balcony where you can enjoy morning tea or coffee with a superb view over the park and the pond. The dining area has a big table with 5 chairs.

The apartment is fully equipped with kitchen appliances: large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine, cutlery and crockery.

The master bedroom has an en-suite with a stand in electric shower cubicle, a king size bed or 2 single beds, a good size built-in wardrobe and big double windows with a superb view of the Carlton Hill and Arthur's Seat.

The 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds or 1 super king size bed, a built-in wardrobe and a view of the park. The main bathroom has a bath with an over bath shower. There is a separate cupboard for shoes and jackets.

Genius luxury 1500 pocket sprung and hypo-allergenic mattresses -hotel style zip and link beds so can be make up with 2 single beds or a king size bed in each bedroom.

The building also has a secure entry system and CCTV.
Double glazing and gas central heating. Free Wi-fi internet access.

WELCOMING

We provide a 'meet and greet' service, whereby we will meet you at the property to hand over keys, show you the layout, provide local information and answer any questions you may have.

(Alternative time check-in, check-out can be arranged directly with the property owner before arrival).

Upon arrival, your apartment will contain a complimentary welcome pack to get you started, so you won't have to worry about tracking down the local shops on your first night for those essential items;
coffee, tea, sugar and set of basic cleaning products (dishwasher tablets, liquid for dishes, liquid soap, toilet paper, garbage bags) .

GETTING AROUND BY BUS OR TAXI

The way to get to the apartment is take a bus number 100 (ticket costs ÂŁ4.5 per person) from airport to Waverley Station(travel time about 25 minutes) and then taxi (taxi costs around ÂŁ6-8) to the apartment or you can ask how much will be taxi from the airport to the apartment because it could be the same price (around ÂŁ25)as bus tickets especially when is few of you.

Taxi from apartment to Waverley Train Station, Royal Mile and Princes St. cost about ÂŁ7.

There are a number of local bus services that go near the apartment from Easter Road bus 35 and 1.

Bus no.35 will take you in minutes to Scottish Parliament, The Royal Residence at Holyrood Palace, the Royal Mile, National Museum of Scotland, Old Town. Opposite direction to Ocean terminal down the Leith.
Bus no.1 will take you in minutes to Princes Street and West End.
From London Road Bus no.26 will take you in 20 minutes to Edinburgh Zoo or opposite direction to Portobello Beach( Edinburgh's seaside ).

This was a small but comfortable apartment located within a short walk of major supermarkets and lots of bus routes. It was very quiet and had a lovely outlook over the park. Communication was excellent. We enjoyed our stay.

Awesome place!!!

Our first visit to Scotland/ Edinburgh. Great visit, great accommodations, & great host!!! The flat was close to the city center, Leith, and Portobello. Bus stop and grocery (Sainsbury & Leidl) a short walk. Bus and travel was easy with the Lothian app.Safari Lounge a great local pub to walk to and eat. Overall AAA host!!!

Quality apartment in a great location

Property was extremely well maintained, in a fantastic location less than 10 minutes from the train station, and the host was very friendly and knowledgable. Groceries, pharmacy, coffee, and a ton of attractions all within a 10-15 minute walk. Spent a week walking everywhere with no need for a vehicle and minimal need of public transit. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit Edinburgh.

Great stay in a lovely residential area!

If you want a quiet place to stay in busy Edinburgh this is a great choice! The owner was very helpful and gave great recommendations for restaurants and activities. Walking to the Old or New Towns takes about 25 minutes and there are lots of buses and taxis. We especially loved the Leith port area including the Compass restaurant.

Home away from home

This was truly a lovely place to stay... it was perfect for 3 adult friends traveling through Edinburgh. We felt safe and secure in this apartment, and it had everything we needed in order to feel comfortable. We loved the park view from the balcony, where we could watch dogs playing with their owners below. Slawomir was a wonderful host, meeting us at the property and telling us all about things we could do in Edinburgh as well as giving us tips for driving while here. Would highly recommend this place to stay!

Superb apartment

The appartment is very good. Everything was perfectly clean and practical (the kitchen, the bathrooms,...), the situation is also really good (20 minutes walk to the city center). The owner was helpful when we needed him and made sure we were comfortable several times during our stay, which is a good thing. Excellent choice

Apartment was exceptionally clean and well supplied. There was ample parking and many restaurants were within walking distance (Gautam's was our favorite). We were even able to walk to the Royal Mile and New Town. We enjoyed looking out over the park and watching people and dogs playing. Communication with Slawomir was easy and he always responded quickly. He met us at check-in to make sure we understood how everything in the apartment worked. We would certainly stay here again.

The host was very communicative and helpful. Special thanks for allowing us to leave our luggage hours before our entry. The condo is spacious with comfortable beds, nice kitchen and living room area. The highlight is the balcony which overlooks beautiful woods. It is vey quiet! There is an elevator to 4th floor. To get to buses it’s a 10 min walk.It takes a 1/2 hr to walk to the Royal Mile.I highly recommend this BnB.

Slawomir is the best host we ever had. He is warm helpful and always responsive. There was some problem with the flat we booked, he upgraded us to avoid disappointment. Great apartment

The apartment is modern, clean and tidy. It is fully equipped. For instance there are multiple products to use (like washing powder, spices and showergel). There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one ensuite), which is very convenient when you are staying with four adults. The apartment has a great view of the park, very relaxing when you are having breakfast in the living room. The building and neighbourhood are very quiet. There are some grocery stores nearby. Also some busstops where you can take different busses to the city centre. If you come by car there is a car park you can use. Slawomir is very friendly, easy to reach out to and he provided us with a lot of information about the city centre and surroudings of Edinburgh.

Great family flat with friendly owner

We enjoyed the stay at the Lochend View Apartment very much. The flat is very clean, with new and modern furniture and offers splendid views to the Lochend Park (from balcony attached to living room) and to Arthurs Seat (from master bedroom). The kitchen is integrated in the living room and is fully equipped – very useful if you are travelling with kids – one can cook and still have an eye on the offspring. The flat is also very quiet; the only noise was generated by our own kids. The only improvement that we would wish for was more boards in the cabinets – the largely are equipped for hangers. The private car park next to the house and the garage were also very useful, as was the presence of a large Sainsbury super market in walking distance (just over the pedestrian bridge). If you are traveling without car you need to be aware of that the bus stop is about 10 minutes walking from the flat (bus line 35, which takes you directly to the centre). The owner, Slawomir, was particularly friendly and helpful. He lives in the same house and can thus be easily contacted if need be. All in all we think the flat earns a 5 star rating!

Comfortable, clean apartment convenient for all we wanted to see in Edinburgh

Slawomir met us on arrival, gave us a tour of the flat, told us about the views of Arthur's Seat and Calton Hill and gave us lots of information about things to do in Edinburgh. That was much appreciated by all 4 of us, as it was our first visit to the city. The flat was clean, beds and seating comfortable. Slawomir asked what he could do to improve - nothing much, though we would have found it useful to have a mirror in each bedroom near an electric socket for when we were drying our hair. We improvised by using the tall hall mirror, so it was not a big problem. We had no hot water on the last day, but Slawomir was on hand to talk us through adjusting the water pressure to get the hot water back - he had already arranged for a boiler service and it was his bad luck that this happened before the service was completed. We appreciated Slawomir being available to help with such difficulties. The apartment is near local shops and cafes and within walking distance of all we wanted to see - Calton Hill, Royal Yacht Britannia, National Museum of Scotland, Christmas Market, Edinburgh Castle.............we had a wonderful long weekend.
