Over 2 floors, a quirky little cottage with views over gardens, countryside and courtyard Converted stables on an former farm in the Llandysiliogogo region of Ceredigion. Situated in a quiet Talgarreg valley and just a few miles from the coastline means it is the perfect base from which to explore South West Wales and the Bay of Ceredigion. Drive just 2 minutes up the head of the valley and you'll have the bay spread out before you all the way to Anglesey with Snowdonia as an epic backdrop. Nearby you will find the Rhos Llawr Cwrt National Nature Reserve. Glaciers have scraped and shaped this landscape and evidence of the last Ice Age can be seen everywhere. The most striking of these are the remains of the pingos found on the reserve, landforms which were once small hills but whose summits collapsed when the ice which formed them melted
Lovely hosts, great location, but unfortunately ruined by lack of cleanliness. Bathroom dirty, delapidated, rusty bin, rusty nails sticking out of ledge under sink. Floor downstairs equally as dirty, for which we swept. Plynth under kitchen units filthy, along with unit under sink. Think this months of not having thorough clean. It seemed everything we touched grubby, sticky. Outside table/chairs not fit for purpose, as had rained, seats sodden as padded! We left a day earlier, as could tolerate no longer. We have photos as proof.
A lovely, comfy cottage, and friendly hosts. The location really is great for getting to the local beaches. The pigs were extremely cute and the yard was a nice place to be in, but it would've been lovely to have a bit more of a garden. Some of the photos on the site may be old, as we definitely couldn't find a games room... but overall, a really lush stay! Thank you. And Sophie - we're very sorry, we broke a glass just as we were leaving!
It was a really lovely location , appeared to be clean and I'm sure that in time the newly acquired owners will spruce the place up. Just would have preferred it to have been re-decorated before I arrived.
We have recently bought this former farm as a bit of a lifestyle change. We plan to plant trees and wildflowers in the future as well as keeping some chickens (and other livestock if Sophie has her way) We are here all the time and more than happy to help make your stay perfect Best Sophie & Paul
