2 chambres Ă coucher Ă Cwrt-newydd
Picked for its charm and character and set within a beautiful hamlet with lots of walks nearby.. Ground Floor:
Living/dining room: Freeview Smart TV, CD Player, Multi-Fuel Burner
Kitchen: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Air Fryer, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washer Dryer, Doors Leading To Courtyard Garden
Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet
First Floor:
Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed
Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and fuel for multi-fuel burner included. Travel cot. Enclosed rear sitting-out area with barbecue and garden furniture. No smoking. Please note: There is a step in the sitting-out area.. Penlan Cottage is a very attractive and beautifully presented example of a Welsh cottage built more than a century ago.
The beams and exposed stonework exude character, and the multi-fuel burner adds that cosy touch for snuggling up in the delightful spacious living and dining room, with a sofa bed for two additional people if required. The country feel continues in the kitchen which has an ornamental range cooker, a Belfast sink, and plenty of space to prepare meals. Leading off the kitchen is a family bathroom with a toilet, basin, bath, and overhead shower. The first-floor bedrooms have been thoughtfully decorated; the kingsize room is elegant in white and the charming twin room has a painted stone wall and a nautical feel â a nod to the Cardigan Bay coast which is just 12 miles away! Outside there is a neat gravelled sitting-out area with table and chairs, perfect for dining al fresco or enjoying a morning coffee. If you are bringing bicycles with you, there is side access to bring them into the courtyard and pop them undercover by the log store. There are so many cycling routes around here, itâs worth bringing them! The university town of Lampeter is just a short drive away and has a selection of independent shops, coffee shops, and tea rooms. There is a regular market and a museum dedicated to the craft of Welsh quilts. Drive on further to find the National Trust Dolaucothi Gold Mines - well worth a visit for an underground tour and the opportunity to pan for gold! Do not miss the special coastline of this spectacular part of West Wales. There are plenty of lovely sandy beaches, picturesque coastal towns and villages dotted along it. The colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron is a must, as is the quaint town of New Quay, where you can take a boat trip or spot dolphins from the harbour wall on an almost daily basis. Walkers will be impressed by 65 miles of coastal path, plenty for even the most ardent of ramblers!
The attractions of Pembrokeshire are also within easy reach for a day trip, but whether you want to visit tiny seaside villages, explore ancient castles, spot exciting wildlife, wander the unspoilt countryside, or just enjoy some fine locally produced food and drink, there is a holiday waiting for you to enjoy at Penlan Cottage. Beach 12œ miles. Shop, pub, and restaurant 3 miles.
There are steps or steep slopes in the garden.
