Experience - The Area... The bustling town of Wadebridge is just a few short miles to some of North Cornwall's finest beaches with the town itself offering a variety of small, independently owned shops and eateries as well as two screen cinema and larger supermarkets on the outskirts of the town. The picturesque Camel cycle trail to Padstow and Bodmin is based in Wadebridge and has an abundance of cycle hire options available to suit all ages and abilities. The nearest beaches are Daymer Bay and Polzeath which are 7 and 7.5 miles away respectively. Just 8 miles from Wadebridge is Padstow with its pretty harbour and quirky shops. Padstow is also home to some of the County's terrific 'foodie' restaurants owned by the likes of Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. A passenger ferry from Padstow operates to Rock where a number of celebrities have chosen to live in Cornwall. Stay - The Accommodation... Orchard House is an Eco friendly, spacious and very well presented detached property on the edge of Wadebridge town offering quality self-catering accommodation. Thanks to the generous arrangement of ensuite facilities (each of the three bedrooms has its own private ensuite facilities) and the versatility of the sleeping accommodation, Orchard House makes the perfect base for couples, a group of friends or large family who are seeking some well deserved rest and relaxation in stylish and generously proportioned surroundings. In an elevated position on the edge of town Orchard House can boast some lovely views down across Wadebridge. Talking of the town, just a short walk down the hill and you will have numerous shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs at your disposal. From the off road parking at the front of the property there are a few steps which lead up to the front door. Once inside, you will find a roomy entrance hall with access to the kitchen, dining room, living room and ground floor WC. The well equipped kitchen provides a great space in which to prepare your meals complete with all the usual appliances including five ring gas hob, large electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and additional wine fridge. Off the kitchen is a good size utility room with laundry equipment and further storage. The exceptionally spacious living room has a choice of comfy sofas to relax on, large 50" television and balcony overlooking the rooftops of Wadebridge. Just across the hallway from the living room is the Orangery style dining room with ample space for dining and entertaining. Sliding doors lead out to the garden and decked areas where garden furniture and gas barbecue are provided. A ground floor WC is conveniently located just off the dining room. Heading up the carpeted stairs to the bedrooms you will find three very good size bedrooms including the large master bedroom with superking zip and link bed to the front with balcony and full ensuite with bath and separate shower. The middle bedroom has a 5ft double bed with a smart shower WC ensuite and the third bedroom (with views out towards the river Camel) has a superking zip and link bed and shower WC ensuite. In addition, each bedroom has a Smart television, hairdryer, fan and USB sockets thoughtfully provided to all bedsides. Large bath sheets, hand towels and fluffy robes are also provided per person. Heaps of hanging and drawer space available within each bedroom too! The property is efficiently heated via gas central heating with additional heating provided within the living room as well as heated towel rails and radiators to all ensuites. Orchard House has received numerous awards over the years in recognition of accommodation quality and service. The property has also achieved further awarding body accolades relating to the owners commitment towards a greener and sustainable environment for guests staying at Orchard. Don't forget... - Sorry, this property does not accept pets - £100 returnable security deposit required - The zip and link beds can be made up as a twin or superking size - just advise the office when making your booking.
