The location is very convenient for the station and town centre. Guy met us on arrival and showed us around, which was very welcoming. The cottage is attractive and well stocked and the bathrooms are excellent. We loved the walks in the local area and enjoyed exploring the pubs and restaurants recommended by the owner.
This rental was clean, comfortable, well equipped and very convenient to Guildford amenities. The host was easy to communicate with and courteously responsive to our needs. Weâd love to return some day!
Spent a lovely week in this charming house visiting Guildford and the surrounding area. Itâs a great combination of cosy old cottage with modern kitchen and bathrooms (the rain shower heads are blissful) with adorable back garden. Brilliant central location. The helpful host has thought of everything!
The house is located within walking distance of Guildford, a town that has an abundance of restaurants and shops. It also centrally located about an hour from Gatwick airport with easy train access to London. The high street and central shopping area is within walking distance of about 5-10 minutes. Fixtures and fittings, especially the kitchen and baths, are high quality and for those who want to eat in, or watch TV of an evening, it is very suitable. The garden is a lovely option on a nice day. Guy is very responsive.

It is one of a short terrace of listed properties on a steeply rising section of The Mount, an historic road leading down to the centre of Guildford. It is a lot larger and more spacious than it looks from the road. There is a charming terraced garden at the back, sunnier than one would imagine. It's an easy downhill walk to the train and bus stations plus the other amenities of Guildford. The property is well and stylishly furnished. Our host, Guy, was very helpful, considerate and contactable throughout our stay. Do expect some traffic noise at the front as the house is right on the street. Because of the steepness of the road and the stairs in the house, it is unsuitable for any guests who might have movement problems, but we do not and really enjoyed our stay in this location, which I know very well.
This townhouse has modern touches and is very close to Guildford's famous cobbled high street. The river meadows, pubs, restaurants and shops are just a stones throw away. Quality shopping outlets and with the top brands and labels you can find on Londons top shopping streets. Easy access to the nearby Surrey Hills for walking/rambling, cycling and fly-fishing and for visiting famous local villages such as Shere, Bramley and Abinger for some fantastic, traditional pubs and dining experiences.
The south facing garden with patio receives sunshine all day long. The house is light and bright and contains a lounge and dining room, 2 high spec Axor bathrooms and fully fitted kitchen with SMEG washer, separate dryer, SMEG dishwasher, fridge freezer and 6 hob german cooker. Good dining room area and wine-cooler for entertaining.
