Anniversary trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the cabin was very nice. Only problems was the high number of Japanese beetles inside the house, they were everywhere. Also the big game machine was hard to understand and didn't work on some games. We loved the theater room. If these problems are addressed it would be a perfect place to stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second trip to Gatlinburg and our second stay in Elk Springs Resort. We stayed at A Smoky Hideaway, which is a nice 5 bedroom, 4 full bathroom cabin spread over 3 levels. Elk Springs is a nice distance from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Close to a local grocery store, which saves us from bringing food with us. Upstairs is a pool table, foosball, an arcade game and theater room with theatre seating to keep you busy for hours. One bedroom is located here with a queen bed. The basement had a sitting area, 3 bedrooms with king sized bunk beds in one room and king beds in the other two. The main floor has the living space, kitchen and final bedroom with a queen bed. Plenty of room for our family of 5. Everyone had privacy when they wanted it, or could hang out together when wanted.We got a text the day before our trip to give us information. Another one the day of to ask our arrival time. We then got one after arriving with a welcoming. We got one message midweek advising us of high winds and to place items inside. Lastly on the night before checkout a message to thank us for staying, some instructions for check-out. We arrived on Sunday and left on Saturday, so they don’t bother you while you’re there. We had one request while there, and they took care of it promptly and informed us when it scheduled and when it was addressed. Always polite and respectful and thanking us. Overall excellent stay, which we have come to expect. Thank you staff at Elk Springs Resort for a great vacation.

Arrived on Sunday reported to Elk Spring non working Arcady broke pool table. We left a day early due to not getting fixed so the kids could have something to do. Kitchen stove was dirty.and we had to clean before using. Not enough parking as the description stated for the cabin. All issues was reported nothing got fixed nothing got taken care of oh but they did refund $172 for our horrible stay.

Beautiful setting in the Smokies

The accommodations were well suited for our large family. The cabin was located in good proximity of downtown Gatlinburg and many other attractions. Was disappointed that the arcade system wasn’t working and it took two maintenance calls to get the home theatre up and running. Our calls were responded to quickly and everyone was friendly and helpful and an adjustment was made due to the issues we had. Overall, our family had a great time.

THE WORSE CABIN RENTAL EVER. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Worse vacation I’ve ever planned. When my group arrived the cabin was very dirty. I explained to the management company that no one had come to clean the cabin since the last guest check out. There were dishes in the sink, dirty towels in the floor, none of the beds had been changed. The most disgusting finding was a bag of poop in the bathroom. I was told housekeeping would be by the next day and no one ever came. They don’t want to refund my money and the cabin was absolutely nasty. Don’t rent through this property management complaint. I wish I could leave pictures with this review. Absolutely the worse experience ever!

Reviewer Comments: Everything in the cabin was as described the winding narrow roads were a challenge due to the rain and the parking was terrible and we only had a van and one small car we also couldn't figure out the arcade game even after following the directions posted on the wall.Traveling with seniors and having them on the main level was great but it should be a king size bed in that room

Nice stay

The cabin housed 14 people beautifully. We did have an issue with the upstairs A/C but the management company was very responsive and had it fixed two ours after we arrived. The cabin can use a little updating or finishing touches; dishwasher missing a part to the handle that locks the door; toilet seats are old and worn; broken chair at the kitchen island. Nothing major. Setting is perfect and beautiful. Never could get the arcade to work but we enjoyed pool and foosball (although the foosball table needs attention. We wish we would have known to bring our own DVD's for the theater room. But, all that being said, it was a very nice place to stay for two nights. We had 8 adults and 6 kids ages 2-10.

The worst vacation resort I have ever dealt with

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a horrible vacation due due wet carpet, molded shower curtains and sheets, poor service. This resort failed to fulfill its promise of provided a relaxing vacation with luxury cabins and high product service. The cabin had a bedroom with wet carpet and furniture due to a care taker not properly emptying the hot tub. A shop fan was brought at 6 pm and ran all night in the room which made so much noise no one could sleep in it. There was mold on the shower curtain in the downstairs bedroom along with molded sheets in the closet. Bat droppings we’re found in the upstairs bedroom along with nesting material that had to be vacuum. The bat was still in the cabin room and we had to spend two nights unable to use this room. Half way through the vacation they decided to move us to a new cabin that wasn’t where close to the cabin we were in and did not have access to a swimming pool. We spent that whole day packing, unpacking, and traveling. The resort did absolutely nothing to compensate for all of the issues. We could not even make personal contact with a manager.

Reviewer Comments: Please see the extended "punch list" we emailed to Elk Springs Resort. The relational experience with staff was marginally satisfactory and largely impersonal. I would have much preferred to speak to individual rather than passing voice mail and texts back and forth. It is hard to build relationship or confidence in another without having personal contact.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was beautiful inside and out. We were all impressed. My husband says it was the best part of our vacation. We had 11 people in our group and everyone slept comfortably, and had enough space to move around. The only drawback was the arcade didn’t work and nobody could get the theater to work properly. Maybe an upgrade on technology would be good. But overall we had a fantastic stay.

Not quite as advertised

Property has terrible drive way, upstairs hvac did not work at all. No dart board, game for the kids did not work ever. 2 burner grill for 8 to 12 people, that was a task. Hot tub had to be turned off at bedtime. Sounded like it was going to blow up when running. Carpet was completely ruined downstairs coming apart not dirty. Just wish the pric we would have been a lot better for the issues we experienced.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived at the cabin we discovered the following upon arrival. The counter tops ant table were dirty. The dishes were not washed very good they were dirty and were in horrible shape, looked like something that was out of the dumpster. For a $5k cabin rental for 7 night stay the kitchen had very little utensils and cookware to use for a holiday thanksgiving dinner. The bathrooms had lady bugs all over the floor which I assume the cabin was not thoroughly cleaned that day or even that recent. The 1st floor bathroom was covered in bugs and the walls were covered in mildew. We were told before renting the place that both kings had its own bathroom and upon arrival we discovered that both kings had the smallest bathroom in the house and every other room had its own restroom which is totally opposite of what we were told. Why not just move the king beds to the other rooms the bathrooms upstairs are larger than the downstairs. So we had all four adults sharing the smallest bathroom in the house. Both king beds had bugs underneath and the behind the bed was covered in dust. So many things the owner could do to make the stay much better that would be inexpensive and easy to do to make this cabin much nicer and pleasant to vacation. In the bathroom in the bunk room was the largest spider ever in the bath tub and scared the **** out of one the kids. I did call and explain some of these issues and sent an email
