Great stay in this BB

We only had one week of vacation to discover Sicily and this was the only BB we stayed 2 nights in a row. It has a very good location close to the beach and near the baroc cities. Scicli is only 10 km away and a beautiful place to visit! The BB itself had a great swimming pool and gives that extra feeling of a relaxing holiday. Nicola is a great host and gives you a very welcome feeling. He tries hard to answer all of your questions about places to visit. We also found it interesting that we could use the kitchen and Wifi. Beds were good and we got a good night sleep because the whole area is very quiet. We would definitely go back next time we visit Sicily! Thanks again Nicola for a great stay! Marianne en Luc

Perfect price/quality in a beautiful and friendly environment

Do not hesitate to visit U Marchisi! It all starts with a friendly and helpful welcome of Nicola and it finishes with a feeling of being really relaxed. The room is clean. The beds are firm and good. Although we like swimming more in the sea, the pool comes in very handy if you have small kids. In the surroundings of Cava d'Agila there is more than enough to do see and do. In short, we loved our stay!

peaceful, sunny and sicily. love u marchisi

my german family spent 1 week in september in this beautiful bnb. we were 16 people. yes a lot. nicola was genuine and professional. give us a good fresh breakfast everyday and was always available during the day for any advice about restaurants beaches or sightseeing in general. the pool is perfect and the garden around give a sense of an oasis. each room has a private bathroom. so i hope to back next spring.

I write my review after some months about this amazing villa in sicily managed by a good and professional guy Nicola. We were a Group of 10 People and rent whole villa with breakfast service.that week was amazing and too fast.we spent almost 5 days around the pool. Great time. The garden is so various and green wow, and Nicola takes care of it. Hope to came back.we had wifi and parking

Se dovessi scrivere tutto ciĂČ che penso della mia esperienza alla Villa "U Marchisi", correrei il rischio di fare una bella "sviolinata"! Vacanza da sogno

Siamo arrivati al B&B in 7 (3 coppie + il figlio di una coppia). Ottima accoglienza da pare di Nicola, il titolare. Molto belle le camere arredate con gusto e molto funzionali. Ottima la colazione (sempre diversa). Le spiagge vicine sono bellissime e i paesi raggiungibili con facilitĂ  sono tra i piĂč belli di questa zona della sicilia. Solo per citarne alcuni: Ragusa, Modica, Noto, Scicli. Stupendo. Ci toprneremo

Ho soggiornato in quezto B&B questo ferragosto, mi sono trovato benissimo, camere comede, arredate con gusto, pulitissime e confortevoli, ottima anche la zona relax vicino alla piscina e le aree comuni per eventualmente pranzare. Una nota a parte merita la colazione, sempre varia, abbondante e fresca, insomma ottima ospitalitĂ , il sig. NICOLA sempre cortese e premuroso, unica pecca la posizione a 500 mt. Dal mare ma non facilissimo da trovare per chi arriva la prima volta.

Soggiorno e location ideale

Ottimo B&B per servizi e location. Il mio fine settimana Ăš stato perfetto. Il posto ideale per visitare la sicilia orientale tra mare, storia e cultura. A due passi dal mare e con una piscina confortevolissima, personale attento alle esigenze dei clienti, colazione ricca e di ottima qualitĂ . Tutte le localitĂ  balneari sono raggiungibili agevolmente, da marina di Ragusa fino a Marina di Modica. Inoltre Ăš facilissimo visitare tutto il barocco siciliano da Noto a Ragusa Ibla, passando da Ispica, Modica e Scicli, il tutto nel raggio massimo di 25 km (10 min di macchina). Soggiorno al b&b Marchisi. Gruppo di amici.

Siamo un gruppo di amici che Ăš stato ospite al b&b Marchisi per una settimana. L'ospitalitĂ  Ăš stata ottima. Nicola, il proprietario, si Ăš dimostrato sempre attento alle nostre esigenze e sempre prodigo di preziosi consigli sulle spiagge da visitare e i locali in cui andare a cena. La struttura Ăš ben tenuta, le camere, una diversa dall'altra, sono arredate con gusto e pulite. La piscina Ăš immersa in un bel giardino a disposizione degli ospiti. Comodissimo il parcheggio privato. La colazione Ăš stata di ottima qualitĂ  e con vasta scelta. E' stato un bel soggiorno! Grazie Nicola e speriamo di rivederci! Elena (per il gruppo)

I have just returned from a very enjoyable and relaxing 6 days at the Villa U Marchisi. Everything was as described and clean, Nicola was charming and very helpful. I would recommend this place without hesitation, although I agree with other reviewers who commented on the fact that there is a lack of nice eating places close by. Nicola recommends places in Scicli, which were good, and we also ate in a couple of nights by using the shared kitchen.

Relaxing holiday location

We stayed at Villa Marchesi in May 2012 and enjoyed a lovely time there. The villa is beautifully maintained and in a good location for visiting some of the baroque towns close by. It was most peaceful and relaxing, and the villa facilities were excellent.

confortevole vacanza in Sicilia

In base alle informazioni su internet abbiamo scelto il B&B "u marchisi" e ne siamo rimasti piĂč che soddisfatti: - situato a pochi minuti dal mare (spiagge molto belle, giĂ  godibili in questo periodo); - stanza molto confortevole, ben arredata, tranquilla e silenziosa con accesso ad un bel giardino con piscina molto ben tenuta; - molto curate le pulizie ed il cambio della biancheria; - gentilissimo e disponibile per ogni necessitĂ  (consigli su itinerari, ristoranti e quant'altro) il proprietario Michele; - colazione abbondante e con dolci locali assolutamente imperdibili (unico, piccolo neo: essendo mattineri non ci sarebbe dispiaciuto poterla anticipare di mezz'ora rispetto agli orari fissati); da questa posizione strategica abbiamo esplorato la zona sud-est della Sicilia (Agrigento, Val di Noto, Ragusa, Siracusa, Vendicari,Caltagirone, Piazza Armerina, Scicli, Modica). In conclusione, un ottimo rapporto qualitĂ /prezzo per cui ringraziamo Michele e speriamo di tornare in futuro. Mara e Paolo

The villa U Marchisi is a well-appointed house in a garden planted with lemon-trees, loquats and aromatic herbs. The setting is charming and the neighbourhood quiet and classy. You can actually walk or drive (5 minutes) to the lovely beach of Cava d'Aliga. We swam on both days of our stay there, and even though local people thought it was too cold, the sea and the weather were perfect for us Parisian tourists... We were happy to have a kitchen to prepare our own food as we were travelling round Sicily and getting tired of restaurants. There were also supplies in the kitchen, like olive oil, etc... The stay was hospitable. Nicola will make you feel at home in a relaxed manner and will give you any information you need about the region. We had nice local pastries and fresh fruit for breafast, but unfortunately Nicola's mother was away during our stay and so we will have to wait until our next visit to taste her legendary cakes... We recommend!

Charming and relaxed stay

Nicola is a very friendly but unobtrusive host. Our room was spacious and clean and comfortable. There is also a communal kitchen for guests to use, with all facilities for self-catering if required. We sampled some delicious pastries at breakfast each day, and there was always fruit and cereals available, although for us,we would have liked to have some savoury items such as plain rolls and cheese/meat for a change. We appreciate that this is a Sicilian custom. The villa is set in a beautiful garden with a pool; unfortunately, it was not considered hot enough to be open when we were there, as May seems to be the usual start time, but it looked inviting. The sandy beach is just 10 mins walk away, downhill. Nicola was welcoming and helpful with information and anything that we needed and we thought the rate was good value. We felt that we were treated as valued guests and friends and would be pleased to recommend a stay here.

Un pre-vacanza serena e deliziosa

Siamo stati al B&B "U Marchisi" per 5 giorni per godere del primo sole caldo della Sicilia. Il B&B Ăš un casolare in pietra ristrutturato, ben curato e molto pulito, con un ampio spazio esterno dove trovano posto molteplici piante ed un bellissimo albero di nespole che possono essere raccolte e assaggiate al momento in tutta la loro naturalissima dolcezza. Il casolare si trova in una posizione ideale sia per raggiungere il mare che per fare escursioni nei paesi del barocco siciliano. Scicli, Modica Avola, Pachino, Noto, Ragusa, Donnalucata e Sampieri sono gli splendidi paesi di cui abbiamo potuto vivere le spiagge, i centri e gustato le buonissime specialitĂ  culinarie. La stanza che abbiamo occupato era accogliente e confortevole, pulita e arredata con mobili semplici dai colori tenui ed allo stesso tempo caldi. La colazione Ăš stata ottima. il proprietario, Nicola, ci faceva trovare ogni mattina dolci e cornetti davvero buoni........mitici i cornetti con la ricotta!!! La bellezza, la tranquillitĂ  e la natura che si godono in questo B&B giĂ  basterebbero a rendere il soggiorno perfetto, ma la vera differenza la fa Nicola che con i suoi modi semplici, discreti e cordiali rappresenta un punto di riferimento serio ed affidabile. Se cercate un posto tranquillo dove trascorrere un piacevole soggiorno in un contesto ospitale e familiare, questo B&B Ăš proprio il posto giusto. Noi sicuramente ci ritorneremo. ho scelto questo b&b per la tranquillita' che mi trasmetteva la foto e che dire...la foto Ăš pura realta'!posto molto accogliente,arredato e curato nei minimi dettagli,stanze confortevoli e colorate,bagno in camera e pulizia impeccabile.bello anche il giardino,fortunata ad averlo visto in primavera,fiori magnifici.colazione abbondante,con frutta di stagione,biscotti tipici locali e torte davvero deliziose. perfetto punto di partenza per visitare le bellissime spiagge della costa iblea,e le meraviglie barocche di scicli ,modica e ragusa ibla! complimenti al proprietario che con discrezione e simpatia ci ha subito messo a nostro agio,nonche molto disponibile nel dispensarci consigli su dove mangiare bene !!ci rivedrai presto nicola!!

Definitely a place to stay

We made a trip of three weeks to almost all parts of Sicily, and U Marchisi was the best accommodation we had throughout our whole journey. Breakfast was delicious (including typical food and selfmade cake each morning), our room was clean and nicely arranged, and the garden with the pool helped a lot to enjoy our stay. Many thanks to Nicola and his family who did a great job in putting up this place!
