Whatâs included
Economy 7 central heating, electric heaters, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request, 15 GBP each per week. Welcome pack. Communal terrace. Parking permit for 1 car included
Harbourside Apartment is so close to the beautiful harbour that you feel part of the village the moment you arrive in Mevagissey. Perched above the harbour, the sights and sounds of gently bobbing boats, the cry of the gulls and the waves lapping the edge of the harbour can be heard from the balcony that overlooks the open sea beyond. The narrow, tiny lanes are lined with pretty cafes, gift and craft shops and local pubs that serve award winning ales and local food. The sandy beaches and isolated coves dominate the coastline and provide a beautiful natural attraction. Many of the beaches in the immediate vicinity have interesting rock formations, the perfect excuse to go crabbing in the many rock pools. Take the half hour ferry ride across the bay to Fowey with the possibility of spotting wildlife en route, or to fully appreciate the natural splendour of the area there is a virtually traffic free walking and cycling trail leading from Mevagissey to the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The cycle trail can also be used to get to the village of Pentewan with its cosy pub and non-working harbour that has been transformed into a sanctuary for wildlife and large sandy beach. South west of the village is the Roseland Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with golden sandy beaches, quaint villages, quiet lanes and coastal walks. For visitors in search of stately homes and expansive estates and gardens to explore then this area of Cornwall is a haven for magnificent National Trust properties. Stroll around landscaped gardens and inspirational surroundings, the perfect spot to relax in tranquillity or for a family picnic. Golf, sea fishing, cycling and surfing are all available locally. Shop 20 yards, pub and restaurant 10 yards.
