When I booked this home I read all the good reviews which lead me to book this place. Now Iâm starting to think people who want to leave an honest review are either afraid to or just donât bother. I feel itâs right to leave an honest review. Let me start with the good points. This home is very close to Elon which is nice and why we choose it. We liked the open floor plan and werenât bothered by the fact that we had to walk through one bedroom to get to the master. The owner was nice and good about replying to messages. Now, what needs to be improved. The house is in dire need of updating. The doors and locks on sun porch and master bedroom doors did not close properly and lock well. My kids were scared to sleep in the sunroom because of this. The patio furniture and most furniture in general looked like it hadnât been updated in years. The place seemed generally to be clean but the master bed had black hairs all over the sheet so we need to wash it. Comforters are not washed after each guest so we brought our own blankets (owner was honest about this when I asked which I appreciated). Dining table, hairs and stains on seats. Patio roof is rotting and needs to be repaired. The owner was around the property while we were there working on another place which sits behind this one. That was a bit odd in general but not a big deal. Old food in cabinet and poor pans for cooking. Others mentioned train nearby. This did bother us the first few nights but eventually we got used to it.
Interesting and comfortable old farm house that has been nicely updated inside. Comfortable beds. Located on a busy street but there is a nice area with a lawn and interesting old buildings to walk the dogs behind the house, Driveway is a little hidden and house is difficult to find in the dark, it would help to leave the lights on when people are arriving, We cooked some meals and kitchen had everything we needed. I would just recommend fixing the exhaust fan and light over the stove because the whole house smelled like bacon after our breakfast! It would also be nice to be able to use the gas fireplace. The house is convenient to lots of stores, restaurants, parks, etc. Train goes by every few hours even overnight but it's short and not too loud and didn't bother us, We definitely recommend this house!
Thank you so much for a perfect place to stay during move in weekend! This was wonderful for unloading all of the things that needed to be assembled and organized to move our son into Elon! Highly recommend.
This turned out to be the perfect location for us while in town for a sporting event! It was even better than the pictures! We were skeptical at first given it is in town and right next to an apartment complexâŠhowever, it was super clean and quiet! Elon is a very charming area and a nice tuck away from the hustle and bustle but close to it all! Highly recommend!!
We really were very pleased with 922 E. Haggard.
The house is very cozy and perfect for my two daughters, myself and husband. We had everything we needed. The king size bed is a huge plus for us. Some rentals do not have king beds. It was quiet here and private. We thank Clint and Rebecca for being there for us.
We enjoyed all aspects of the property; the farm like setting, the well designed spaces and furnishings, the usefulness of the kitchen and rooms. Even the laundry came in handy
We enjoyed our stay. The house had everything that we needed (except a skillet). We were in town visiting our son who is a senior at Elon University. The house was in the perfect location to the campus and his apartment.
Cheerful and cozy home to spend time with family and invite friends over who lived close by. Plenty of space to walk the dogs. We would definitely rent again.
This property is perfect for a small group of people. The location is ideal and very convenient to shopping and major highways are nearby. Thank you to Clint and Rebecca for a wonderful experience, they were extremely helpful and responsive to all of our needs. I would rent this property again without any reservations.
We had a wonderful time - such a great house and location for our visit to Elon over parents weekend! Lots of space and a really nice outdoor area. Weâd like to make this our staple house when visiting our son at Elon. Communication was easy , beds comfortable, kitchen fully stocked. Highly recommend.
We stayed in this property for more than a month as we moved to North Carolina for a new job opportunity and the house we are building was not ready yet. It was the perfect size for our family of five in a perfect location for ease of travel.
The house is set back off the road and has a lot of space behind the house, providing for a private and relaxing setting. The hosts were excellent in adjusting to our needs and desires. Beds are comfortable and the open floor space is great for families.
We could not be happier with our stay at this location and would absolutely return if we needed temporary housing at some point in the future.

Very peaceful and charming. Great outdoor area to grill out, relax and dine. Lots of private grounds behind the house. Walking distance of Elon University.
